Elio visibly cringed, as if the thought itself was repulsive. "Don't remind me. I'm just grateful I dodged that bullet." He tossed back his drink in one gulp, letting out a dramatic sigh. "I can't even imagine if I'd ended up in that… toxic relationship."
Arcana laughed, eyeing him with a mixture of amusement and concern. "You sound traumatized, man."
Elio didn't even try to deny it, nodding fervently. "I am traumatized, and I have every reason to be." He leaned forward, his tone turning darker. "You know my old team? Liam and Darren?"
