Emi walked into the sealed room. It was even more intricately designed than she thought. The machines were amazingly complex, screens showing vitals, and translations of the languages of all the kingdoms and species being conducted. She looked around with glee in her eyes. Her appetite for learning all the lost technology was growing more and more. Her eyes darted till the help screen popped up again giving her another message.
"God items detected. Must acquire items to complete bond to Makaizer."
She was confused at first, she thought the bracelet was enough but she needed more items. The bracelet once again led her to the spot for the items. Emi saw four statues in the shapes of animals before her.
A white wolf, a red crocodile, a black cobra, and a green bat.
At the base of the statues laid cards. Emi knew them well and even studied them as a child. They were Genesis Cards, items that had immense magic sealed within them. Those who used magic used them to power themselves up or use them for spells. Makaizers could use them too but they had to have an affinity to them and many were specifically designed for certain Makaizers. Beowulf had two cards the King had found during his youth for his Queen. Ramírez had five, one for healing, two for defense, one for support, and an offensive card for his guns.
Emi grabbed the cards from the statues, the statues glowed and then broke into pebbles, she let out a small squeal from the shock but regained her composure quickly.
"New Item Acquired. Genesis Cards, Horsemen Series Acquired!"
Emi was shocked by what she heard even more now, "Horsemen Series, does it mean the Four Horsemen the Church of Origin has taught about?"
This now scared her. Emi never went to church, she wasn't completely religious but she did like studying the philosophies of the kingdom's many religions. She read that in the Book of Origin when the 'Eden's Fall' began it was rumored that four horsemen aided in the Harbinger of Cain's crusade. They were powerful, representing Death, War, Famine, and Pestilence. If these cards were based on them then what was the Makaizer in question like?
The bracelet yanked her arm, she held her grip tight not to drop the cards. Emi was pulled to the middle of the room, there was a large tattered cloak covering what the Makaizer she was looking for. Her fingers quivered in anticipation and fear. This room was built for this Makaizer in general, a God item accessory, and Genesis Card as well, if this was truly powerful why was it sealed away? Was it like a cheat to have it?
Her fingers grabbed the cloak, they clenched tightly as her hand yanked it away. Then she saw it, the Makaizer that was meant for her.
It sat on a stone throne, chains wrapped around it, cables connected to the base of the neck, even along the spine. Maybe it was to keep it charged up, or rather it was to sedate it keeping it asleep.
The design was almost close to being human, a very rare occasion now that most Golem masters make theirs look big and gaudy or flashy at that. This one was around 6'0ft tall, it had a slim build but the muscle definition was extremely defined with the armored skin it had. The skin and armor were black, the body had trimmings on the muscle definition in the fashion of bone cartilage similar to the human muscle system.
The chest plate, shoulder pads, and thigh plates had skeleton armor designs with the empty spaces in the bones having red jewels in them. The boots were simple with each having a curved knife attached to the sides.
The gauntlets were different, the right one had a menacing design while the left one was covered in a cylinder casing with a seal on it.
The headpiece had jagged spikes that flowed like hair down the middle of the head, two large ones pointing upward like horns on the side of the head from the jaw up. It had no mouth or any other defining features other than the blank eyes and cross scar that ran from the forehead across the eyes. And lastly a ragged, torn scarf around its neck.
"So this is it? The one the bracelet has been leading me to?" Emi couldn't help it anymore, she wanted it. She wanted it more than anything, it wasn't just her first Makaizer that made her want it so bad, it was the fact that this thing was probably one of the rarest out there. There were only so few of them left. If she had it, she could complete her dream of being the Royal Artisan for the kingdom and she could experiment as much as she wanted. Because no one loved the Makaizers or Golems as much as she did.
She laid her hand on top of its head, fingers caressing the metal, then the tattoos glowed up, and the bracelet opened the mouths of the skulls on it. Then they went back to normal and she knew what happened. The bonding between her and it was complete. Her help screen popped up the notification.
"Bond of Commandment complete. Makaizer, Godslayer Class now acquired. Makaizer name recognition Unknown."
The Makaizer had no name, the most important part of them was their names, it was like a badge of honor, the promise the master gave them as to what they stood for or their personality since a Makaizer possed human intelligence, unlike the Golems that had artificial ones.
"Godslayer class? What does mean, the highest rank a Makaizer can obtain is God class? Beowulf is one so what is that supposed to mean."
The screen popped up to answer her question.
"Godslayer class. A class rank given only to the individual who has slain 1,000 God class enemies in a single day. Godslayer class holders can not be killed unless by another Godslayer or by The Origin."
"So wait? Does that mean this thing is practically invincible unless it dies by one of its own kind? This is all too suspicious. What exactly is this Makaizer?"
The screen popped up again, it asked Emi if she wanted to accept memory and Exp transfer. This wasn't news to Emi, Makaizers had the unique ability to transfer their memories to their master in order for them to have a stronger bond. Even excess experience points it didn't need to the master as a bonus feature.
Emi quivered at first but accepted it. The intense rush of points and memories flooded her mind and body. When it was over she now shuddered in absolute terror. She fell to the ground, cold sweat pouring down her body, and her eyes widened in fear.
"No! That's not possible, this Makaizer, this one, it's….it's.....The HARBINGER OF CAIN!!!"
