Emi kicked and struggled to break free from the Strayer. The grip it had on her was strong, she couldn't break free. The feeling of hopelessness, and being weak, brought back the terrifying memories of back then. Emi began to suffer a PTSD moment, her memories of the day her parents died, and the Strayers murdering everyone in her village rushed back. She screamed loud even if her mouth was muffled by the metal hands. She went into a frenzy, her arms and legs flailing more frantic, till one of her arms got free enough to grab the Strayer's neck.
Emi felt an object wrapped around it, like a collar of sorts. Emi knew better than anyone that Strayers don't have collars on their necks, let alone crudely designed ones. She felt around till the wiring for the collar was exposed enough for her to pull it causing the Strayer to suffer electrical pain, losing its grip on Emi.
She broke free finally and ran like hell to get away. Her feelings were strong and she couldn't stop the mental pain bombarding her all at once. Emi ran and ran, she tripped and fell, her body tumbling down the side of a hill, her arms covering her head trying to protect herself from receiving a fatal injury to her head.
Emi finally stopped rolling once she hit the bottom, her skin was cut and beaten by the rocks and thorns from the hill. Emi slowly picked herself up till she sat upright. She curled up in a ball crying, she had to relieve the feeling again from all those years ago. All the pain and hell she went through, even the mistreatment her boss put her through, her first day at the school, she kept wondering what did she deserved any of that. Why was it her that had to be put through so much hate and pain? All she wanted was to help Golems, make them stronger so that they could save lives, and build connections. Maybe get a Makaizer of her own and find out their secrets. Yet she was treated like garbage, less than that.
Her hate for her situation, her rage for the Strayers, her utter disgust at the nobility for never taking care of the citizens of the kingdom only themselves. Her sad eyes turned to an angered expression, the tears that flowed were slower now, her fingers gripped her legs tight from the frustration, the nails piercing her skin, her lips bleeding from her bitting them in anger.
"I hate them! I hate them all! I wish they all disappear!!!"
Her words were sharper than a blade. The first time her heart felt something other than hopelessness but pure rage, those feelings resonated, she could feel something around her, a pulsating feeling, her eyes looked around, and a circle had formed around her.
It was the darkest shade of purple, they were in the appearance of runes, ones she had never seen before and she knew them all from Seth. The circles glowed brighter, soon they glowed enough to consume her and make her disappear.
Emi woke up, her head felt dizzy from that burst of magic. She slowly got herself up, but her body still felt beat up from tumbling, one of her ankles also felt twisted making it difficult to stand. Emi did her best to stand up and figure out what happened, she knew that was teleporting but she wasn't at the level yet to use that type of skill or have a summoning stone to use.
Her vision started becoming clearer, and the ringing in her ears ceased finally. When Emi was stable enough she looked around, and she noticed she was in a weird laboratory. Pods with prototype parts for Makaizers she had never seen before, charts, tools, and even papers all over the ground. Emi looked at the papers that were legible enough to read, her heart fluttered, the papers were blueprints for Makaizer parts, types that used techniques that made them more human but still the same machines they had always been so far. The synthetic muscle fibers, and skeletal structure that was nearly indestructible but light and nimble, she couldn't believe the brilliant designs in front of her eyes.
When it came to this subject she had a photographic memory, Emi only needed to see it once or twice for good measure to memorize it once it caught her interest.
She must have looked at least five different blueprints she could find that hadn't been eaten away from time, though it wasn't enough to satisfy her right away.
Emi looked around more, the rest of the papers were unreadable, but it was what was on one of the desks that caught her eye. Many wires were attached to a gothic-like bracelet on the desk. It had four skulls held together in a band with four colors, white, red, black, and green. She couldn't understand why but she was drawn to it. Like a feeling of temptation Emi couldn't resist it she needed to see the bracelet up close. Her left hand reached out for it, her fingers quivering with anticipation. They got closer and closer, till the tips almost touched one of the skulls.
The bracelet snapped open on its own, then it leaped onto Emi's wrist locking itself in place. Emi felt a sting on her wrist, needles coming from the skulls digging into her wrist, she tried to remove the bracelet, but it wouldn't come off. The pain worsened, going up to her elbows then to her shoulder, and finally to her left breast. Her skin burned, and soon it had strange tattoos marking her where all the pain was. The eyes of the skulls glowed, and soon a harmony of church choir tones began to sing an ominous song.
"The days have come of the nearing end, the apocalypse rider the heavens send. Our dark messenger has come!"
Emi became afraid, what had she gotten herself into?
Her help screen popped up in front of her. It wrote her a new message, "New Item Acquired! God Item, Revelation's bracelet!"
"A God item!!!"
She couldn't believe it. God items were not only the rarest but almost impossible to get unless you were the King's level, level SS.
The screen popped another message for Emi to read. "Urgent, must touch Makaizer with the bracelet on to make the Bond of Commandment. Do you wish to locate Makaizer assigned to Revelation's Bracelet?"
Her eyes bugged out more. There was a Makaizer paired with the Bracelet. For Emi, this meant she not only got lucky she got a Makaizer that was a God class. The Queen's Makaizer Beowulf was that class, being one of five that has been known so far. Emi couldn't wait, she accepted the message to locate the Makaizer in question. The screen showed her a map, and the skulls' eyes glowed again acting as a sensor to lead her in the right direction. She walked as best as she could limping till she found the location the map and skulls pointed out. A door with chains and runes etched upon it.
The screen turned off, and the eyes glowed more intensely, she couldn't resist it, so she touched the sealed door. Her tattoos and runes glowed intensely till the runes vanished and the chains broke themselves off.
The door slowly opened before Emi, she clutched her towel nervous but she wanted to see the Makaizer badly, her desire was too intense to overcome.
