Chapter 18

Akuhito settled onto the couch and drifted off to sleep.

*9 hours from now**

Aomi began jumping over the couch and landed on top of Akuhito, who was taken aback. Akuhito appeared surprised and gasped out breath. Aomi greeted him, saying, "Good morning, Lord Akuhito." Akuhito responded, "Oh, hey Miss Aomi."

Akuhito inquired, "Where are the two boys?" Aomi replied, "Oh, they're still asleep." Aomi then proceeded to get off of Akuhito and positioned themselves in front of him, ready to engage in a confrontation near the couch.

Aomi lifted up her glasses and stated, "I'm going to be right back, Lord Akuhito. I just need to get some food from the store." Akuhito responded, "Do you need any help? And isn't it far?" Aomi smiled and replied, "Nah, it's alright. I think I've got it. I've been doing this for three years, so I'll manage. Thank you, Lord Akuhito."

Akuhito, with his ability to see the future, perceived the limitless possibilities that lay ahead for Aomi. However, he decided to close off that vision and focused on the present moment. He gestured towards the surrounding individuals and proclaimed, "These are my royal guards." Then, with a hint of admiration, he added, "I have a fondness for intelligent women."

Akuhito rose from his seat and began to wander around the house. After a mere two minutes, he grew bored with the indoor setting and decided to step outside. He gazed at the majestic mountains in the distance, taking in their grandeur and finding solace in the natural beauty that surrounded him.

As Akuhito turned his gaze from the mountains back to the house, he spoke in a quiet tone to himself, contemplating the existence of beings who had achieved levels of power that surpassed his current understanding. With determination in his voice, he whispered, "Someday, I might surpass them and transcend beyond, reaching new heights of power."

Akuhito made his way back to the royal guard house, opened the door, and entered. He walked over to the couch and discovered a remote control resting on the table. Curious, he picked it up and pressed a random button, but nothing happened. Undeterred, he pressed another button, yet still, nothing changed. Akuhito tried once more, clicking another button, and finally, something happened in response to his command.

As Akuhito indulged in watching cartoons for an extended period, boredom eventually set in. Just as he was growing weary, Yami, one of his loyal subjects, made his way downstairs and respectfully bowed before him. Akuhito smirked and responded, "You may lift your head, Sir Yami."

Yami expressed his concern, "Oh my lord, where could my sister be?" Akuhito reassured him, stating, "She went to the store to get food and won't be back for several hours." Yami then brought up another matter, saying, "Thank you, my lord. And one thing, last night I witnessed you unleash a ki blast at a wolf that was about to attack you."

Akuhito responded, "Indeed, I possess special abilities that go beyond those of an ordinary human being." Yami's eyes sparkled with fascination as he exclaimed, "That sounds incredibly amazing, my lord!"

Yami respectfully bowed once again and then proceeded to ascend the stairs, returning to his assigned tasks.

Akuhito turned around, his resolve firm and determined. He spoke with conviction, "As I mentioned before, this is a wonderful place to live. However, I am prepared to eliminate any creatures that dare to attack here." Akuhito's readiness to defend the place was evident, and he braced himself for any potential challenges that lay ahead.

"Throughout the entire universe and beyond, there exist levels of possibility and impossibility."
