Chapter 103: High-Level Summoning Magic

The fiery red spider was severely injured by Mo Fan's attack, but its commander-level vitality allowed it to hold on. Despite this, Mo Fan didn't let up. The flames around him dissipated, and in their place, he drew several star patterns. Seven star patterns connected to form a constellation, and a powerful lightning bolt quickly shot out from it.

Even in perfect health, the spider might not have been able to dodge this attack—let alone in its current condition.

"Boom!"

The lightning bolt struck the spider with the force of a divine punishment, landing squarely on its already battered body. The spider let out a pitiful scream as its body convulsed violently, on the brink of collapsing under the sheer power of the lightning. The energy rippled out, tearing apart the ground and creating a web of cracks. The previously solid earth crumbled, sending dust and rocks flying through the air.

In the face of such destructive power, the spider had no chance to fight back. Its body continued to break apart under the relentless barrage, until it was reduced to a pile of charred remains. The surrounding area, already devastated by the battle, was further ravaged. Trees reduced to blackened ash, the once vibrant landscape turned into a wasteland.

Mo Fan, nursing fresh wounds, paused to catch his breath. His back had stopped bleeding, though the pain remained. Despite his tough constitution, it was a sobering reminder that nothing in the wilds could be taken for granted.

As he processed the battle, he also realized the spider leader had some valuable materials, although the spoils weren't as abundant as he had hoped. There were only some ordinary materials and a spirit remanent. However, one thought sparked his excitement—the lack of other demons in the area meant this was likely the spider's territory, and where there's territory, there's treasure.

Determined, Mo Fan delved deeper into the spider's domain. He found a hidden lair at the mouth of a glowing red canyon. Surrounded by fiery thorns that glimmered with faint embers, the lair was well-protected by nature itself. Mo Fan navigated the thorns cautiously until he arrived at the entrance of a cavern filled with glowing red minerals. Inside, webs covered the ceiling, with smaller fire spiders scattered around, likely the offspring of the larger spider he just defeated.

Though weaker than their parent, they were still a threat. But Mo Fan showed no hesitation. Lightning flashed, and the lair echoed with the sound of thunder. In no time, he wiped out the remaining spiders, leaving none alive.

After dealing with them, he finally located the treasure—a collection of fire-element petals, magic crystals, spirit stones, and fragments of fire-elemental seeds. Without hesitation, he gathered everything.

Since the area was now cleared, Mo Fan decided to rest there for the night. Summoning his companion, Flame Wolf, he settled in, trusting the beast to guard him as he slept.

Unexpectedly, Mo Fan slept for three whole days! When he woke, he felt fully refreshed, realizing just how exhausted he had been.

To his surprise, during his slumber, Little Flame Belle had also finished her advancement. She had not only evolved but had jumped straight to the level of a Warrior class demon. Moreover, her flames had transformed, and she had gained control over a new type of fire in addition to her original calamity flames.

It quickly dawned on Mo Fan that this must have been due to the fire element diamond she had consumed earlier, which explained why the armored beasts were so desperate to chase them.

Feeling the changes in his own body, Mo Fan realized his summoning magic had reached a critical point. Seizing the moment, he sat down and initiated the breakthrough process. Having already mastered two high-level elements, this breakthrough to a third was much smoother than his earlier ones. With just a couple of focused efforts, the barrier of his summoning magic shattered, pushing him into high-level summoning mastery.

With three high-level elements now under his control, Mo Fan felt no need to continue searching further. His time in this area had already yielded more rewards than countless bounties.

Little Flame Belle had just evolved and hadn't fully adapted, but Mo Fan saw this as a perfect opportunity. The journey back would be filled with chances to fight more monsters, letting them both sharpen their skills.

Also as long as he could defeat them, nobody could stop him from plundering and pillaging as he went on.

He mounted Flame Wolf and set off. Although the wolf had been summoned for several days, it was well-rested and ready to go. Other than the items he saved for Little Flame Belle and Flame Wolf, the rest of his spoils could easily be sold for a fortune.

As he made his way back to Sha Wang River, Mo Fan activated the communicator that Nan Jue had given him. If she was nearby, she could pick him up—if not, he'd have no problem fighting his way there.
