Chapter one: loosing her

"Doctor!! please how my daughter doing? Jessica lost consciousness some minutes ago before the arrival of Mr Williams the family doctor,he received a distress call from Ronnie,he was very tensed on the phone,one could actually identify from his voice;the doctor had no option but to rush down to his house and attend to his emergency."please be calm Mr Ronnie,your daughter is out of danger now.

"She had a cardiac arrest and passed out right? please tell me what really happened,I told you to always keep watch on her,not to allow her do anything that will put a threat to her life.Ronnie tried to explain what happened to the doctor,"we were just seeing a movie together and there was this interesting scene,she got so excited,and the next second she had a shock and passed out.

You see!!

He was really disappointed and a little bit furrious

"I told you,those things are really harmful to Jessi.

H..her heart couldn't take such excitement,which is why she had the shock and passed out.

"I think the earlier you start realizing that Jessi isn't just like any other normal girl,the more we could do our best to keep her alive."I will be honest with you sir but her health condition has gotten worse,and she had just limited time to live.

Ronnie yelled at Williams for that report,

"t..take back what you said just now!!

Am not gonna loose my daughter!

"Am sorry Ronnie;

Please be calm,I know how you feel.he tried calming Ronnie down,it isn't easy to see someone so dear to you dying and you couldn't do anything to rectify the situation, believe me I've done my best already trying to save your daughter and there's nothing more I could do anymore.

But doc we can schedule her for another surgery, money is never the problem.

"Am sorry but her body won't be able to handle another surgery now. many sugery has been carried out on her previously,she might not survive another this time.

"Something must be done doc;

Can't loose my daughter now, you got to do something about it.Williams placed his right hand on Ronnie left shoulder,"I wish I could help,but the only hope left is miracle.

"You really don't get me Williams; can't give up on Jessica now, she's the only family have got left,after the death of her mother some years back.

"I think my job here is done,I have to head back to the hospital,I have patients waiting to be attended to; and make sure to get those drugs for her.

Ronnie walked him downstairs to the door both exchange a warm handshake and Williams took off."I wonder where this lady is,

Madame Maureen!!

Why am I even paying this lady when she can't even do her job properly.

M…aureen!!!

"Madame Maureen; Jessi's nanny whose at the back of the house, heard his master's voice calling rushed to the living to know why Ronnie was calling her.

"Where have you been?

"Do you know have been calling for a while now? Maureen didn't even know which question she would give an answer to,she stood speechless for some seconds,she was trembling in fear,her hands and feet where shivering."am talking to you Maureen!!

"I…I…I,wa..s at the back of the house sir

Maureen!!

"I pay you to take care of Jessica and not stay at the back of the house and lazy around you fool, Maureen knew his master doesn't really mean those words,he just transferred the aggression of loosing his daughter and understood properly."am so sorry sir;was just taking care of something at the back of the house.

"I had to rush out to get some drugs for Jessi;and I need you to take care of her till am back, don't leave her sight please;yes sir."please get me my car keys.the keys was on the table placed at the center of Ronnie sitting room,it was just a few steps away from where they were initially standing.

Maureen handed the keys over to her master and he left for his car packed outside his compound.

Madame Maureen went upstairs just to take care of Jessica,just as his master instructed before leaving; though before she gets to the room door she heard a voice that sounds similar to Jessica's.

Hmmmm…..I think I heard a voice

she might have regained consciousness

Maureen quickly opened and to confirm her thoughts,Jessi was really awake.

"My dear you are up?

How do you feel darling?

"Na…nny is that y..you?"yes it's me darling,you really scared me and master today,we were really worried.she touched Jessi's fore head to check if her temperature is still high.

"P..lease na..nny;where is father?"he stepped not long before you woke up,he went to get some drugs that was prescribed by the doctor,he will be back soon honey.

"Ma'am Jessi,do you feel hungry?let me get something for you to eat, Maureen wanted to go get something for little madam to eat when she was called her back by Jessi.

"Am not hungry,

Am just a bit tired tired,but what really happened nanny,I remember sitting in the living room watching a movie with Daddy,I couldn't remember much.maureen caught in just after the last statement.

"You got really excited over a funny scene,you had a shock and passed out.

"So sorry i made you worry,I feel sleepy now please wake me up when dad comes back.

Ok darling….

"And please can u stay beside me till I fall asleep, don't want to be alone."you don't have to ask for it cause It's my duty,I will not only stay till you fall asleep but until you wake up honey…

"Thanks nanny

Jessica slept off few moments later,this time she wasn't unconscious but was sleeping soundly like a baby.
