Betrayed.

Snow felt his warm lips upon her forehead and stood still. He quietly pulled away looking down at her.

"Still pale.." he muttered and placed another kiss on her forehead.

She blinked as her cheeks turned red instantly.

He chuckled pulling away from her, she had not realised how warm he was until he left her side.

She met his gaze seeing his smile.

"You look better, shall we?" he offered his arm.

Snow gulped and took his arm not saying a word.

When they got into the car he passed her a hat with a white laced face veil.

"What is this for?" she asked.

He sighed turning to her and gently placed it on her head.

Snow sat still letting him fix it on her head. She felt his fingers softly pin it down in her hair then place the veil down her face.

Sitting back he admired his work.

"Hope it's not affecting your vision?" he asked.

"No am fine " she let out.

The car finally came to a stop and Divean stepped out, offering his hand he helped his wife out too.

Her hand was trembling and the stiffness in movement showed how nervous she still was.

They walked towards the entrance and entered the crowded hall, Snow could barely breathe, and the veil on her face made it worse.

He noticed her discomfort and squeezed on her hand, bending to her side he whispered.

"We can leave if you're not well"

She breathed her eyes moving around the room.

"Really?"

"Mmm, we can," he said.

But they had just got there, and she promised to play her part so he could help her too. But here she was panicking before she could even face anyone.

How was she going to get her revenge if she could not even attend a simple party?

Snow turned to him.

"No we are staying, I just need a drink " she muttered.

"Huh?...a drink?" he repeated.

She nodded.

He chuckled, "Then let's get you one "

They walked through the crowd until they got a waiter and Divean took two glasses of champagne, passing one to her.

"Enjoy " he smiled.

She gulped it down in one breath, swiftly took him too and took a deep breath.

He blinked looking at the two empty glasses in his hands.

"Better " Snow let out.

He nodded.

....

Snow spent the rest of the two hours chatting and being introduced to people she knew so well. She was amazed at how humble and polite they were to her.

They could barely see her face and only knew her as Alexander's wife.

She noticed everyone was there just to see who she was when they kept coming in one by one to greet the couple.

"Mr. Barely you here too" Divean smiled turning to face the couple that had just walked up to them.

"Good evening Mr.Alexander" Tom put on his most warm smile.

Snow was still chatting with some other guests when she heard a familiar voice behind her.

"Congratulations on your wedding, am sorry I couldn't make it " Divean muttered.

"Well, your invitation for today covered that up, Mr. Alexander" Lydia smiled up at the tall handsome man.

Tom noticed how she kept gazing at Divean and sighed pulling her back a little.

Divean smirked and turned taking Snow's arm.

"Love, let me introduce you to these two," he said in a sweet tone.

She had picked up her courage after the two glasses earlier but now it was different. She was completely frozen.

Her hand was starting to sweat as she held tighter in his.

Even with the veil he could feel her hate for the two people in front of her.

He bent down to her ear whispering.

"Do you need more drinks to face them?" he asked.

"So this is your wife?" Lydia asked trying to look through the laced viel but failed.

"A pleasure meeting you, Mrs. Alexander " Tom offered his hand.

Snow didn't respond or take her hand to shake his.

Divean chuckled.

"Honey, this is Mr Barely and his wife," he said to Snow.

Tom pulled back his hand embarrassingly.

"Thank you for coming Mr and Mrs Barley " she finally said.

"Thank you for having us " Tom smiled.

"We are glad you could make it, my husband told me about what happened to your ex-wife and child " Snow muttered, "my condolences "

"It's all in the past, now am married to the love of my life " Tom smiled down to Lydia who blushed.

"Not to be rude but isn't that what you said about your precious wife? I think I read it in an interview you had " said Snow.

Tom flinched and blinked.

"I thought she was but after her betrayal, I realized she wasn't," he said.

Snow scoffed.

"I see... let's hope you don't change your mind on this one too"

Before Tom could say a word Snow moved taking her husband's arm.

"Enjoy the evening you two," she said walking away.

Divean followed her with a smirk on his face.

When they were out of sight from two Snow stumbled but Divean held her in place. She leaned in on him as he led her away.

Finally getting to a private room, Snow yanked off the veil, and that was when Divean noticed her tears streaming down her face.

She pulled away from his hold but was too weak to walk and collapsed to the floor. He got down next to her.

"Betrayed...how dare he " she cried "It was him who betrayed me and killed our child...my poor baby was.." she could not speak anymore as her tears fell.

Divean's arms pulled her into his chest holding her.

"Shhh.... he not worthy your tears," he said.

Snow held onto his coat bitterly crying.

"I hate him...I hate him...I hate him " she yelled.

"I know you do....I know " Divean breathed not letting go of the sobbing woman.
