HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF?

Evie was disappointed.

"I thought that girl knows something about werewolves, but it turns out the story she mentioned is just a lame story," she mumbled to herself.

She was indeed disappointed after Cindy elaborated on what she had said. It turned out the mysterious story about werewolves that circulated in this town was just a misunderstanding.

A wealthy family that lived in this town owned a dog, and the dog somehow could make a howling sound just like a wolf. Not only that, but it was said that the size of the dog was so big just like an adult human, and that was why rumors started spreading that the dog was a werewolf. However, now it was proven that there was only a dog in that house, and that was why Evie was disappointed.

Thankfully, another thing managed to satisfy her at this time, and it was the result of Cindy's hard work. Her makeup was well done, and even her outfit looked splendid.

The celebrity was wearing a knee-length pink dress. It was a gorgeous gown designed by a famous designer and featured an A-line silhouette and glittering trim. The knee-length dress had a sleeveless, seamless V-neck bodice, and one would be confused as to whether they should describe Evie's look as sexy or innocent.

Her hairstyle also looked fantastic today. Her long blonde hair was braided with small flowers as decoration, and all of her hair was placed over her left shoulder. With this hairstyle, Evie looked like a fairy.

Simply put, she was content with her looks, and she was about to slip on her pink high heels when someone suddenly knocked on the changing room door, and before long, a familiar head peeked through the creak of the door.

"My Lady, the event will start in ten minutes. You've finished preparing yourself, right?" Simon had asked her from outside the door.

She did go to Barevale with Simon and some of her assistants. She had female assistants, and they also helped her get dressed earlier. But Simon was a man, and that was why he waited outside the changing room while the actress getting ready.

"Mhm," Evie replied, but she stopped what she was doing as she thought of something else. "I guess I should go to the restroom first before putting on my shoes."

It was like a routine for Evie to let go of all the weight inside of her before she had a schedule. Of course, she would just pee before going on stage, but the ritual was enough to make her feel more relaxed.

"Would you like me to show you to the restroom, My Lady?" Simon innocently offered while still peeking his head through the creaking door, and Evie looked as if she wanted to throw one of her shoes at the man after hearing his question.

No, it was not that Simon was a pervert or anything, but he was just overprotective of her. Sometimes she felt irritated by that, but she also couldn't blame him because he had been by her side since she was a baby, and he was like a father figure to her now.

However, even if she saw her manager as a father figure, she still would not let him accompany her to the restroom no matter what.

Taking a deep breath, Evie then slipped on a pair of sandals before kicking off the high heels she would wear later. "No need. I know where the restroom is, and I can go there myself. You can go backstage and wait for me there," she replied as she started swinging her legs towards the door.

Thankfully, she was wearing a knee-length dress at the moment, and that's why she didn't have to lift her dress for her to walk smoothly. Seeing the queen approaching the door, Simon carefully opened the door for the woman before stepping aside.

Simon was quite obedient even if he could be in his rebellious phase sometimes too, but this time he was in compliant mode as he silently let his master go to the restroom alone. He looked at the narrow back for a moment before finally turning his body around and walking towards the venue for today's event.

Evie didn't hear any approaching footsteps, and without looking back, she knew that her subordinate had listened properly to her orders this time, and she knew that the man was going to the venue. Her face displayed a small smile as she brought her feet into the restroom.

This wasn't her first time at this resort, and she was currently in the resort's second-largest building. In this building, there was a big hall, and it seemed that it was usually used for events such as parties or meetings. There were several small rooms besides the large hall, and one of them had been converted into a dressing room for today's event.

It wasn't her first time at the resort, and that was why her feet looked like they had eyes of their own as she continued walking toward the restroom. She remembered the location of the restroom, and it shouldn't be far from the changing room.

She met an intersection, and she brought her feet to turn left at the intersection. From afar, she could see a 'RESTROOM' sign ahead of her, so she quickened her pace. She only had less than ten minutes now, right? Thus, she would do her business very quickly before going to the venue.

She finally arrived in front of the women's restroom, but then she felt something was not right. She was a vampire, and her senses were naturally sharper than those of humans, and that was why she felt like someone was quite close to her at the moment.

Worried, she turned her gaze to look behind her, but she found no one and nothing. This area was deserted, and a normal human would feel chill in a place like this, but Evie wasn't afraid.

At this moment, she was sure that no one was following her from behind, and that was why she decided to quickly open the door in front of her as she just wanted to do her business quickly now.

As soon as the door was opened, she was surprised to see a man staring at her with a pair of hungry eyes, and before she could scream or do anything, the man quickly put on a handkerchief to cover her nose and mouth, and her vision suddenly became blurry.
