Chapter 8

Kira and her friends got to the restaurant at 1pm and ordered their lunch.

They all ate and left the restaurant.

They drove for another one hour before getting to Kira's house.

Kira stopped her car at the gate waiting for her friends to get down.

Why don't you come in shortly?" Kira said with a smirk.

Nope, we are not interested" Sam and Leo echoed with laughter.

I will see you guys later and David, take care of my bike" Kira pursed her lips and opened the gate with her remote.

She entered the compound and packed her car in the car park.

Kira knew that she was in great trouble so she tried to sneak in. She was tiptoeing on the staircase when her elder sister, Mia, called her back.

And where do you think you are going?" Mia stood up abruptly as soon as she sighted Kira.

Everyone's attention and faces turned to the staircase, Kira walked confidently from the staircase and stood in front of her father.

Where are you coming from?" Ricardo yelled.

When did you start to care about my whereabouts" Kira said with no expression at all.

How dare you talk to your father in that manner?" Helena shouted angrily.

Kira face went to the direction of the Television and saw KK performing. It took her attention and she was so excited.

Ricardo noticed that she wasn't listening to what Helena was saying, he got pissed.

You are staring at the television when you are supposed to be listening" Ricardo took the remote and turned it off.

Darling wouldn't it be better if she was as good and perfect as that girl" Helena smirked.

Can I go now?" Kira glared at Ricardo.

Did he ask you to go?" Helena stood up and walked to Kira.

Why do you keep interfering between me and Mr Ricardo" Kira said with little expression.

Don't talk to your mom like that" Mia spoke.

She's your mom, not mine" Kira stared at Ricardo waiting for him to speak.

Call your grandfather, he has something to tell you" Ricardo said and walked out of the sitting room.

Helena did the same and Kira was about to do so when Nathan held her hand.

Can we talk?" Nathan gave her puppy eyes.

You know that won't work on me right?" Kira glared at him.

Then they both kept talking before going to Kira's room.

Mia sat there jealousy, she felt that Kira had everything, she always wanted to have what she had and what she didn't have.

She works so hard to show Kira that she is better than her but it doesn't move Kira at all.

Mia made sure that her father handed part of

his company to her. She was presently working as the Executive Director in the company but Kira isn't even showing any interest.

Mia got up angrily and went to her room.

.... Felix walked into Arlo's office and greeted with a salute.

I found something boss" Felix handed the documents over.

Arlo opened the documents and read through it.

Arlo looked at Felix for an explanation.

We could catch a glimpse of her face and scanned it with the face of all the females in the country" Felix paused.

Then he continued "Her name his Kira Kim, granddaughter of Richard Kim who is our agent"

Her name was submitted as replacement for her grandfather" Felix added.

Are you saying that she is going to join the agency?" Arlo asked.

Yes boss" Felix stood straight with his both hands in his pockets.

We are going there tonight right?" Arlo stared.

Yes boss" Felix said.

You can go" Arlo added and Felix left.
