Chapter 12 - School Life (3)

"And that should be done," I wiped the sweat on my forehead. "This should be fine, right?" I checked my surroundings and found that I did a decent job cleaning up. "Although I will still get scolded because of the broken training equipment, I feel I did okay," I heaved a sigh of relief. "Well, at least this one did not break," I looked at the intact wooden sword in my hand. "Its quality is quite similar to what I had at home," I twirled the wooden sword. Dorothy's face popped into my mind as I observed the wooden sword. "I better leave as soon as I can," I muttered as my body shook from head to toe. Putting the wooden sword away, I took a quick shower and changed into my casual clothes.

I did not know someone had entered the training hall when I was showering and saw the mess that Gloria and I had made. As I exited the male changing room, my body flinched as I saw a massive figure stroking his beard. "Hohoho, are you Vaan by any chance?" Principal Gerard asked with a smile on his face. "Y-yes, sir!" I unknowingly saluted at the sight of the towering figure before me. "Hohoho, you don't need to be so nervous, young Vaan," Principal Gerard said. His eyes squinted as he scrutinized the training hall before shifting them to me. When he did that, my body shook, and I suddenly became nervous. "Hohoho…. Good, good. Young ones should be like this. Hohoho…." Principal Gerard laughed heartily before leaving the training hall.

"What is that all about?" I stood in a daze, confused and a little bit fearful.

Arriving in my room, I laid my tired body on my bed. While relaxing on my bed, I heard relaxing music in my ears. "I got to thank Sir. Sebastian, for recommending this radio station. It helped a lot in relaxing my body," I muttered. Then, suddenly, the relaxing music stopped, and a woman with a soft-spoken voice replaced it.

"It's time for our daily news. I've got a special one for you," the woman on the radio said. "Today, a particular individual announced that she would visit our Eora City. Are you curious about who it is? Well, let's not make the suspense even longer. That's right, folks, the one that will visit our wonderful and beautiful city is the 12th miss from the Arundel family, Renata Arundel, the Sword Maiden herself. Isn't that exciting?" the woman's hyped voice resounded.

"A celebrity, huh, great. Wait…. Who did she say again?" I immediately sat on my bed, and my tiredness was suddenly gone. "The famous Sword Maiden, Renata Arundel, will visit Eora City tomorrow for a special event with the newly established Charles Military Academy. It's a shame that she will not tour our beautiful city, but I hope I can catch a glimpse of her figure," the woman on the radio continued with excitement. My mouth gaped open while my eyes widened.

"What the heck!?"
