Chapter 26 A Sleepless Night

When the first light of dawn brightened the sky, the men and women, young and old of Yuanhu Village had already started a new day amidst the curling smoke of their cooking fires.

Ye Feng had long since developed the habit of rising early. The moment Skylark began to chirp outside the window, he bounced out of bed.

After splashing his face with fresh spring water and brushing his teeth, Ye Feng glanced in the mirror and couldn't help but shake his head and chuckle bitterly.

In the mirror, he now stared at two significant dark circles under his eyes. If they were any darker, he might be mistaken for a national treasure and put on display.

The normally sound sleeper that he was, last night, however, was quite unsettled.
