After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. She thought they could have parted ways forever, but Michael refused to stop looking for her after the divorce. When they met again, she was the world's top designer. "Wendy..." Winnie gave a call to Wendy again. And when Wendy answered, she said immediately, "Do you want to go shopping later? With your mood now, it is not good to be couped up at home. We should go out and enjoy."
"Yesterday when Michael came back, he kicked up a big fuss and we quarreled again. Sigh, I am not in the mood for shopping." Wendy said intentionally.
"Precisely my point. At times like this, you should go out and take a break from those issues." Winnie said. "I have made arrangements. We can go have some desserts first, followed by a movie. Lastly, we can go to the jewelry shop to pick up the accessories I ordered the last time. If you like them, I can give them to you."
"Uh..."
"Come on. Take it that you are accompanying me instead." Winnie persuaded again.
"Okay. So, meet you at the cafe we met the last time?"
