The sun touched the edge of the sill as the last glimmer of light disappeared. Looking up, Scarlet looked at the bruises on her wrists and grimaced. It was night.
Night meant something else and she fought the urge to shiver uncontrollably. What drove her to make such imprudent decisions? Stupidity, that's what it was! She chided herself harshly, a little too aware that it was too late to undo what she had done. Provoked a monster, that is. She touched the brow of her pretty face for a bit and sighed.
"What's that deep sigh for?" a nice sounding voice murmured from the doorway. She flinched a little and composed herself. Any slight sign of disdain would provoke an aggressive reaction and it wasn't something that she desired to achieve. How silly that it was what she had tried so hard to achieve just half a year ago! An aggressive reaction, indeed.
He walked towards the bed and sat at the edge of it. Taking off his shoes, there was a nice light scent that she couldn't quite place a finger on. He was immaculately dressed and there was an air of pristine royalty to him that she could never mimic. He was born into riches and sheer opulence. His pretty face could be seen against the fading light. There was just a tinge of shadows underneath his eyes that betrayed what had been happening for the past few nights. Slowly, he took off his clothes to reveal a lean and well defined body. If fear wasn't so deeply entrenched in the crevices of her mind, she might have the sense to admire his physique for that bit. However, fear drove her and she fought the urge to run away. Instead, she calmed herself down and leaned into place her hands feebly across his waist as she gave him a squeeze and tilted her head to give a quick little peck on the side of his cheeks, "Welcome back, I missed you."
He turned to look at her, his eyes studied hers for a bit and a faint smile touched his lips, "I missed you too, you have no idea how much I've been thinking about doing this," he said as he leaned in to kiss her on the lips deeply and covered his hands with hers as his other hand started to unravel whatever that was left of her clothes.
