Autumn has started.
Over two weeks has passed since I first came back to the kingdom, and I'm currently doing the healing act in the church.
Not much has happened ever since. The charred skin on my hand is still there, the church has been going on just fine, and missions are doing great. The only difference is with my quality of life now that I am richer.
The only noticeable change is probably with the Office's arena. Now it's so much more crowded because high ranking adventurers are starting to come there more often now.
The Office approved Hod's suggestion to add a barrier that can stop pressures of the battles happening in the arena from leaking out. Thanks to that, more high ranking adventurers are coming there, and it was deemed as a high class arena by the kingdom.
Jrake basically lives there now. He trained many lower ranking adventurers from Red to Purple rank at the arena, just like how he trained me back then. Except now, he is doing it by opening a teaching session on weekends, where people are less likely to do missions.
I'm not sure if he does this for free. After all, training people is quite difficult.
Today is a Sunday, meaning Jrake will be training the adventurers.
Aside from Jrake, other high ranking adventurers are also coming nowadays. Cane and his friends, Fran and the others. Even my team is coming there now to play around and train.
Despite me coming there quite often, I never once sparred with anyone. I didn't want to stand up in the crowd, but at certain cases, I ended up being in the spotlight.
Today, our team had already agreed to come to the arena right after the second bell, which is fairly three hours away from now. I am quite excited about it.
Right now, I'm still doing the healing act with incredible speed. My healing magic is certainly improving, but only slightly. The speed it took to heal is getting faster, but only noticeable when you are counting by how long.
Normally it took five seconds to close a simple wound, but now it only takes four seconds.
See? Unnoticeable.
But it's a massive improvement. Any healer would understand how difficult it is to close a one second gap on their healing, especially when it's already as small as five seconds.
It's a huge gap, despite how small it looks.
"Say, are there more people today than before?"
Khel said to me once the person I healed left. Outside, is a line filled with people waiting to get their turn. It seems like today is like doubled the amount from yesterday.
Well, it's not like it's going to change anything.
Double the amount only means more time consumed after all. It doesn't mean my magic energy will get overly damaged or anything.
Unlike before when I fought Galar, I didn't get my magic soul damaged when I went crazy while fighting Prym. Which means the one causing my soul damage isn't the so-called Red mode. It could be something else.
I have tried figuring out what might cause it, but it could be the overuse of the magic energy drinks. Those drinks are made from a certain type of flora, capable of raising one's magic energy to a certain rate.
In the end, once your energy is depleted, the only thing that can regenerate it is time. Rapidly boosting the magic energy, especially by quite a large amount, never tends to end well.
That day, I drank nearly nine extra large bottles of magic energy drinks. Any normal human would die of magic overdose and poisoning, but since my magic points are so large, it didn't kill me. But it did end up permanently damaging my magic soul, which caused me to lose the ability to regenerate my energy.
After finding that out, I have never used any magic energy drinks at all. Probably because I didn't overly exert my magic, but even if I did, I probably still wouldn't use it.
The healing act finally ended an hour later. Just like before, most of the healings were done by me.
I wore a half face mask to hide my identity, since so many people have seen my face. I thanked Khel for making me the half mask. She knows her ways around sewing, after all.
Maybe I could ask her to do me some favours on making clothes.
"Making clothes? Hmm... I never went to a fully professional one. Maybe I could help you introduce a certain professional."
Khel said after I asked her about it, and I became quite interested.
"Oh, I see. Maybe next week, though. I have some stuff I have to do today."
"Alright then. Take care, adventurer."
After changing into my regular clothes at Khel's room, I waved at her before heading out. After I went out, I planned to stop by to grab some food since I'm getting quite hungry.
Being in the kingdom for nearly four months already, I'm getting a little bored by the meals. Should I just keep on buying the menus that I already know? Or should I look for some interesting ones around the kingdom?
Or maybe... I should cook one?
But where am I going to cook it? I can't become a chef since I already have a job here. Even though I probably could if I wanted to.
I ended up going to Hod's restaurant.
