Chapter LXXIII - An Old Lady's Tea Cup (part 1)

I didn't show the charred skin to the people at the church, mostly because I'm scared of getting baptized or something.

The next day is Saturday, which means there will be a church healing act today.

My return was quite the surprise to them, because my mission was so long they had somehow forgotten about me being here. Of course everyone missed me, I made their job easier after all.

Today's healing act was normal. The numbers weren't that great, probably because they found out the saint healer is gone. But when they found out I'm back, it's going to be another long line.

Which means, tomorrow's line will definitely be much longer.

After doing the healing act (which only goes for like an hour thanks to how fast I heal people), I went back to the inn to eat my breakfast which I bought along the way. After eating, I headed out to the library right after.

The plan was to meet up at the library together after the second bell, but I just couldn't wait.

The library has finally opened itself after a two weeks long upgrade since the first bell, and it looked so much different from both the outside and the inside.

From the outside, it can be seen that there is another floor as well as an attic. The height of the building grew taller than the other two next to it.

The inside is also much different, the furniture, the bookshelves, even the old lady's tea cup is now brand new. The kingdom really had gone out of the budget with this one, especially on the old lady's tea cup.

The only thing that didn't change… well, one can guess.

"Oh. The first customer after two weeks, and it's you."

"Nice to finally meet you again!"

I said as I casually walked towards the books. I want to check out the fourth floor, which is the newest floor, so I headed straight there.

And what's waiting for me are just empty bookshelves.

"Are you kidding me..."

"Hey! The fourth floor is still empty!!"

The old lady shouted from the first floor. A vein popped on my forehead.

What about the attic?

There is no one else here, so I thought I should check it out. The stairs to the attic is just a little bit further across the room on the fourth floor. To enter the attic, you have to open the door.

And the door is locked.

"Damn it."

I went back down and started reading the books that were already there. I searched for books that are related to wind magic, so it will ease Cony with her learning. I also picked up books about cooking stuff, since I do want to learn those.

Doing some cooking on Veldon with Lyona made me realize how weak I am in terms of cooking and knowledge on the ingredients. Especially in this world, there aren't that many ingredients that are the same as my world. However, there might actually be some that are the same one, just with a different name.

Just what is this world, exactly? How is it both very different and very similar to mine?
