"You... My friends had already stopped!!!"
"Do you really think I would believe that?"
I answered calmly as I approached him slowly, and Marksus only opened his eyes widely.
He was surprised when he heard that, but I already knew what he was planning from miles away. He is keeping his friends safe so that they can aid him later, just like the case with Fran. He cheated because his friends were secretly helping him, and that cost Fran the victory.
In the end, he peer pressured Fran to admit that she genuinely lost, which resulted in her letting go of her dear sword. It was a cruel... and merciless fooling method that works against a saint like Fran.
But... I'm no saint. I'm just as cruel as this guy, if not, crueler.
That's why I challenged all of them at once. If I only challenge Marksus, then his friends will be able to secretly help out from the side. My plan worked flawlessly because I was able to take down his support.
Everyone who heard our short conversation then conversed among themselves. The whole arena quickly turned into chatter as they realized what Marksus was actually doing.
But, I'm not going to let it stop here. The real fun is just beginning.
Because now, without his underlings... Marksus is just a butt naked Yellow ranked adventurer with no help.
I unsheathed my orcish sword and enchanted it with Intermediate fire magic. I will only need a single sword for this, because this is just for me warming up.
I'm going to burn him a little.
I unleashed the pressure for a single second to scare him. And it somehow worked, because he jumped back a little bit.
I slowly approached him. His fear smells a little too obvious.
But, do you think I'll stop?
I enhanced my legs and leaped. I closed the distance between him in less than a second, with a speed ten times faster than the one I've been displaying on the arena. But when I was about to get close, my magic senses were shouting again, and I quickly understood why.
VWOOOSSSSHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just under his leg, a tornado formed. The wind was so sharp, it grazed my body at multiple spots. I quickly stopped my approach and jumped backwards before the growing tornado ate me.
I watched the tornado from afar, while wondering how a tornado can appear in an indoor setting.
What the hell… this is annoying.
"Hahaha!! This is my invincible sharp tornado! Don't even think about breaching it!"
Surely, this tornado is powerful. The powerful wind that slices everything that comes near, and that wind is literally surrounding him. Anyone who comes in there will get pulled in and mutilated. No questions asked.
The sounds of wind slicing everything can be heard, and the spectators are also affected a little because the wind is very strong.
"Man... Stop making such a scene."
SRING!!!!!
One second he was laughing. Another second, his pants fell down.
Showing... the red underwear he is wearing.
"Hiii!!!--"
He quickly stepped back and fixed his cut off pants. The sharp tornado dissipates immediately. The crowd immediately noticed what happened and were asking how I managed to get in that tornado.
It's quite simple.
My magic energy reinforcement is simply too powerful.
I checked my whole body for any slices on my clothes. Thankfully, the energy reinforcement protected even my clothes. I closed all the wounds on my arms and legs, where the damage from the previous wind slices occurred. The wounds closed in a second.
Then, I turned back to look at him.
He had his swords ready. Both of the swords, even Fran's.
"I'll give you one chance."
I said to him as he prepared himself for an all out battle here, but I'm just joking around for entertainment sake.
"If you strip naked in front of me, I'll let you walk away without a bruise."
I said while pointing at the pants he is trying so hard to stay up, and that successfully pissed him off.
"Cocky bitch!!!"
Marksus rushed straight at me, but I am only staying perfectly calm. He swung his sword multiple times to try and kill me, but none of his blades ever touched me.
Even though he is quite fast, I am no longer on the level of normal. I dodged every single strike he tried landing on me. Even when using two swords, he couldn't deal any damage. So lame.
BAAKKK!!!!!!
"Guhk--!!!"
BAKKK!!!!!!!
I kicked him on the left abdomen, which threw him to the side. I quickly added a follow up and punched his jaw, making him fly upwards. He fell down on the ground powerlessly, and the swords he had were scattered around him.
I slowly approached him, but he quickly sat and lowered his head.
"S-Stop! Please! I give up--"
SHREKK!!!!!
I grabbed him by the hair and lifted him up. Marksus felt the pain from his hair being pulled up, and he tried throwing a wind augmented punch to my face.
BAAAKKKK!!!!!!!!!
The wind augmented punch landed successfully on my face, but I had already enforced my skin to be strong enough to hold it. As a result, I was completely unaffected by that baby punch.
Marksus only opens his eyes widely to the result of his strongest punch, and I just tilted my head a little while wearing a cold grin at him.
"... is that all?"
"... HAA------"
...
BAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With a ton of strength, I swung down the hand that is holding his head to the ground.
Marksus's entire body was slammed down to the stone cold floor with his face first, and I can't exactly tell if his entire body can handle that slam.
"Ghaakkk--!!!!"
He coughed so much blood out of that, but I am by no means done.
"You think I will just let you go?"
I released a deadly bloodlust this time, in addition to the pressure. His lungs are barely breathing, but we're only getting started.
BAAKKK!!!!!!!
BAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I kicked his body quite hard, and his whole body flew to the wall nearby. It crashed deep into the wall, throwing sand and dust everywhere.
Seeing that Marksus has landed inside the walls, I realized I will have to get him out of there. But before I could do that, multiple adventurers jumped down from the spectators seat.
Well, well, well... there are quite a lot of you.
There's over fifteen adventurers, all looking like they're ready to fight a war against me to protect Marksus. From the looks of it, they all knew that they cannot win against me. But, they still stood between me and Marksus.
"So, this is the faithful family bond that adventurers are supposed to have? How laughable.
Where were all of you when Marksus took the sword from the Swordsaint? Where were all of you when low ranking adventurers had their bodies stabbed by weapons made for killing beasts? Where were all of you... when all that tyrant behavior happens?"
I asked the adventurers in front of me coldly, but none of them were able to answer. Either because they did not dare to, or because they couldn't, simply because the pressure I'm releasing was far beyond what they can handle.
Certainly, they all regretted it. They believed that had things been different, things wouldn't have turned out like this. As such, I can bet that such an event like this won't happen again.
There will not be another Marksus. I think I have done enough.
"Take him. And never return to this place."
I said to the fifteen adventurers in front of me while lowering my own pressure, and everyone can finally move once more. The adventurers began to move towards where Marksus is, and they worked together to pull him out of the really thick concrete wall.
And after seeing how Marksus looked once he got pulled out... I regretted kicking so hard. Healing those wounds will be so difficult for any healing mage, and I felt so sorry to whoever is the doctor that was paid to heal him.
I ignored those adventurers to deal with Marksus. Instead, I walked forward to the swords Marksus had dropped on the floor. I took the sword with the beautiful handle, the white blade and golden scabbard sword. I looked upwards to the spectator's seat, where Fran is sitting.
Her blonde hair can be seen because she had pulled the hood off, and she is staring at me with really unbelieving eyes.
Woah. Looking at her now, she does look quite pretty.
I moved my right leg backwards, and my right hand holding the sword along with its scabbard, as if preparing to throw a spear.
VWOOSSHHH!!!!!!!
And with a single throw, the sword along with the scabbard, flew through the air all the way to the spectator seat. It flies straight to Fran.
GREBBB!!!!!!!!!!!
Fran catches the fast flying sword very easily in the middle of the scabbard, while the air force from the catch's impact blows everyone away. She unsheathed the sword and looked at it, and she smiled after being able to see her sword returning to her.
She sheathed it again and placed the sword and the scabbard on her left hip, and I could see the grin on her face when she nodded at me.
I simply nodded back to her.
"She really is a miracle."
"Oh, now you believed?"
Fran looked at Brod with an annoyed stare, but she was glad. Who could've known that the situation could've been resolved this way.
Instead of asking nicely... some problems are just better off to be punched in the face.
CLAP!!
CLAP!!!
CLAPP!!!
Ah... he's here. Speaking of problems that needed to be punched in the face...
My face turned around to find the source of the clapping, and I noticed two people entering the arena. One is Klane, who is the lovely receptionist lady of the Adventurers Office. And the other is the person I did not want to see the most.
"Well, well, well. You had so much fun just now, were you?"
Jonus arrives at the arena, along with Klane. His face seemed very satisfied as he studies the destruction on the arena, specifically to the fifteen people that are carrying a very wounded Marksus out of the arena.
Klane also realized that the scene seemed to be quite chaotic, and she turned to me with questions.
"Rize? What happened?"
I was about to answer Klane's question, but Jonus cuts in before I can say anything.
"I can tell you what happened. Someone was being very naughty."
The smugness on his face boiled me as he walked closer to the middle.
Boiling... yes. That's the way to describe what is about to happen.
A newbie with Knight tier healing magic, Intermediate tier fire magic, and an abundant amount of magic energy. Against a White ranked adventurer who's known to be a King tier fire mage.
Boiling is the correct term, indeed. It's about to be very hot here.
