Chapter 6 (English)

Before I had even properly entered the forest, I was knocked unconscious again.

When I woke up I was tied up and saw that the ninja girl who had seen us off was standing in front of me.

< "Nice to see you again, but you better improve the way you greet your guests" > I said ironically.

< "You are not our guest. You are an intruder. I warned you not to come back and you were aware that if you came back you would die" > said the ninja girl strictly.

< "I know. But I didn't come here just like that. I came to warn you guys" > I tried to explain it to her.

< "Warn us about what? No one knows our location except special people" > said the ninja girl.

< "I had to load ships so we could afford to continue our journey and meanwhile a government ship came. I heard the soldiers saying something about attacking your village. I just came to warn you. I couldn't just let you die. Even if you were pretty dirty to us" > I told the ninja girl.

You could only see her eyes and through them I saw how surprised she was when she heard about the government.

Without saying anything, she turned around and quickly walked away.

< "Wait. What's going to happen to me now? I don't really have to die, do I?" > I asked myself while hoping they would let me go again for the information.

However, I got no answer and was instead put back in the good old cell.

I was already adjusting to spending a lot of time in the cell again, but after only about half an hour Makoto came outside my cell with the ninja girl next to her.

< "Let me grab him and kill him at the edge of the forest. Then I can make him disappear right into the sea" > the ninja girl said to Makoto and held the knife to my neck.

Makoto stopped her and grabbed me hard by the collar.

< "Are you sure the government wants to attack us?" > he asked very aggressively.

< "Yes pretty sure, unless there is another village here on the island" > I replied.

< "That can't be! No one should know our village. I had everyone killed to preserve this island. The only exception was you, so you must have betrayed us. I will raise our troops and get us ready for war, but whether that is true or not, you will die. We told you not to come here again. Shiro kill him" > said Makoto.

I cried and said < "Please, kill me if you want, but I left my siblings alone to warn you, with money to last 5 days. My brother as you know can't walk and my sister is still young, if you kill me please take care of her.">

Makoto stopped Shiro and asked me < "Why did you risk your life even though you were aware of the punishment? Why do you risk your life when your siblings need you?" >

< "Because my mother was killed by those people. I don't know why, but they held me in front of my mother and I had to watch her head get chopped off and then fall into my hands on my lap" > I said and couldn't stop crying.

< "I'll give you a chance. You have 4 days. If the government doesn't attack us in 4 days, you will be executed in front of everyone. My troops will be ready until then"> Makoto said and walked away.

The ninja girl remained standing next to my cell, like last time, on guard.

I looked at the girl and told her < "I think it's really cool how strong you are. I couldn't even protect my mom against three government men and you guys are willing to fight a bunch of them. I wish I was that strong to protect my family too.">

< "You have a family and you abandon them. You abandoned them to help strangers who will kill you. Your siblings needed you, but you put your ideals before your siblings. No wonder you are so weak!" > she said, answering me for the first time.

< "My name is Jun and I heard your name is Shiro, a very beautiful name. I'm glad to meet you. Let's become friends" > I said to Shiro.

Shiro looked puzzled and just replied to that with < "I can't and won't become friends with you. I don't have friends in general. I had friends and family, but I lost them a long time ago.">

< "I don't have anyone either except my two siblings, yes it's hard to take care of them and look after them, but still I'm glad I have them in my life and I've heard that friends are like family. The problem is, I've never had a friend so I can't judge. So how about it, would you like to be my friend?" > I asked Shiro and smiled at her.

I saw the answer through her eyes, but Shiro kept quiet and stopped talking to me.

< "No problem, take your time with your answer. Tell me your decision once you decide" > I told her.

After that, a bit of time passed until then Shiro got the order to get me out of the cell and take me to another room.

< "You were approved to spend the next 4 days in this room, but no matter what you do, you have to ask for approval first. Got it? " > Shiro explained to me.

< "Understood" > I replied and got comfortable.

The second day and the third day I got to see a little bit of the village.

The room had a small hole in the corner of the room behind a big vase.

Even though it was very quiet, I heard sounds and looked through this hole.

I saw people for the first time, people who were not completely covered like Shiro.

Just as I was looking forward, I saw a man hitting a woman.

Beating was still a harmless way of putting it, he was beating her almost to the point of hospitalization and as I was about to call someone, I saw someone else doing the same.

When I kept looking I saw little kids, but they looked like they were adults.

Not only did they look like adults, but they acted like adults.

However, they looked like corpses.

They had to carry heavy things and it looked like they were doing errands.

One child was even being touched strangely by a man.

Just as I was about to shout something, I heard footsteps and quickly put the vase back so I wouldn't get caught.

Makoto came into the room and said < "Enjoy your last night. My guards haven't seen anything strange yet and that means no one is likely to show up. I don't know what you were planning on doing that, but you'll be saying goodbye to this world tomorrow.">

Just as I was about to say something, I fainted and woke up tied up again.

This time I saw nothing but a few bright spots and something scratched my face.

My position was also different than before.

< "Ladies and gentlemen. I would like to introduce you to this young man. He has invaded our village even though it is forbidden, but as generous as I am, I have shown him and his siblings mercy and set them free. However, my requirement was that they never come back. But guess what he did? Exactly! He came back and on top of that he even claimed that the government was going to attack us. Despite that, I gave him 4 days and gave him everything he needed. Clothes, food and a room. But today is the 4th day and there is no government in sight. That means the death penalty!" > Makoto told.

As he continued to talk, I quietly called out to Shiro.

She was standing next to me and responded to my call.

I thanked her with a smile and told Shiro <"I've never talked or spent as much time with a girl I have you, but I'm glad you were the first. I've seen without your coverings, noticed that you're different from everyone else here. From way met would imagine not only beautiful on inside, physically well. At least should be fit, strong are. Speaking of strong. Could do me favor? My siblings nothing to my actions. < "Okay" > said Shiro, but she was surprised herself at her answer since she just said it without thinking about it.

At that, I was at ease.

Makoto gave the order to execute me and one of the covered men took momentum with the axe and was going to cut the rope from the guillotine.
