A Crush?

"How'd you do that?"

I turned around scared. Human fingers settled my body. They moved away just as fast.

Our eyes locked. He ran his right hand threw his hair. Than looked down.

"I didn't mean to scare you."

I wiped away the tears that had started to form.

"I see that." My hands stayed where they were safest. Behind my back.

Our eyes connected again. There was something in them that I couldn't see, other then I saw it was female. I felt the wind change as he moved.

"Listen, I already have eyes on someone else. Someone better, so whatever you feel is just a crush." He spat on the ground between my feet and walked away, angry.

I turned back to the cave and field. Then headed toward it. I'd find, something useful there.
