Unknown Hero: Endless Light

The Great Catastrophe occurred when demons from hell emerged and brought terror and despair to humanity. They slaughtered half the population of the world, causing humanity to fall into despair. Hope emerged when a few humans awakened superpowers to resist the wicked demons. The most powerful of these was a human named Victor Lore, who awakened the Power of Light. He almost brought the demons to their knees, but another human named Nero awakened the power of Darkness and aided the demons in terrorizing humanity. Victor and Nero fought and both ultimately perished, leaving the other awakened humans unable to resist the demons. Humanity slowly lost hope until a countless number of swords of Light descended and eliminated the demons completely. The humans believed it was a grace from God, but they didn't know that it was a teenager who had awakened the Power of Endless Light who had actually saved them.

After the catastrophic events that swept the world, peace was restored. The demons from hell had risen to Earth and slaughtered half of the population, which at the time was 20,128,979,098. As the demons continued their killing spree, a powerful human named Victor Lore emerged. He possessed the power of light and used it to defeat the demons, killing almost all of them.

However, as some humans used their powers to save humanity from disaster, others emerged with the intention of bringing even more doom. One such powerful human was Nero, who awakened a supernatural power of darkness. Nero had experienced humanity's cruelty firsthand and, after being trampled on by others when he was weak and helpless, was granted the power to seek revenge against all of humanity. Both Nero and Victor Lore died in battle, and the demons continued to wreak havoc on the world.

As the world became filled with hopelessness and despair, countless swords of light descended from the sky, targeting the demons from the abyss. The world was saved, and the people praised God for their salvation. Faith in humanity was restored, and many believed that it was God who had saved them. However, they did not know that it was actually a teenager named Steve Sentinel who had awoken the power of endless light and was personally blessed by God. Steve came from a family that worshiped God, even as the rest of the world was losing faith.

Despite saving the world, Steve lived a poor life, working as a construction worker to make ends meet. It had been five years since the catastrophe, and Steve, now a mature man, supported his family. In the years following the disaster, many self-proclaimed heroes emerged, reducing crime rates and helping put out fires. However, three years after the catastrophe, as humanity enjoyed its hard-won peace, strange creatures began appearing and causing chaos. Some believed them to be demons or their followers or offspring. That was when the heroes emerged, humans who had also awoken various powers, such as the power of thunder (Thunder-Man) and the power of fire (Flaming Saint). These heroes defeated the demons' pawns and gained the attention and wealth of many.

Steve, the blonde-haired and blue-eyed hero who had saved the world, was now in conflict with his younger sister over a chocolate bar in the fridge. "I bought that with my hard-earned money! How could you eat it like this? If you're going to eat it, at least finish the whole thing!" he exclaimed.

"Don't be mad! At least I saved some for you! Learn how to be grateful sometimes!" Sheela, Steve's younger sister, retorted angrily. She too had blonde hair, but her eyes were red.

"I have to be grateful to you for eating my chocolate!?" Steve felt his veins throb on his forehead.

"Stop it, Steve. Let her go this time, alright?" Steve's mother, Elena Everland, spoke softly, her kind gaze fixed on him. She had black hair and red eyes.

"It's been four times she's done this to me!" Steve couldn't hold back his tears.

"Hahaha! You're already so old, yet you're a crybaby!" Sheela laughed as she saw Steve crying.

"Shut up!!!" Steve angrily shouted, but Sheela only teased him further by sticking out her tongue.

"She's your younger sister, forgive her this time..." Elena reminded Steve softly.

"I have to go to work now. Bye, Mother, Father," Steve quickly changed his attitude as he looked at the clock.

"Be careful out there, son!" Sid, Steve's blonde-haired and blue-eyed father, reminded him as he watched heroes beating monsters on television.

"I will!" Steve nodded and walked out of the apartment.

After Steve left the house, Elena reprimanded Sheela for making fun of her brother. But Sheela only retorted, "Hmph! I'm made fun of by my classmates for having a brother who's a construction worker. They always brag about their older siblings who are already heroes or working to train future heroes! It's my freedom to make fun-"

Sheela was interrupted by her mother, "Stop looking down on your brother! If not for him, we wouldn't even be able to send you to school! If not for him, we wouldn't be able to take your father to the hospital and get his injury treated!"

Sheela stood dumbfounded as her mother shouted at her, and her father joined in, "Yes, Sheela, without your brother, I might have become completely useless. Now, because my injury is healed, I can work again at the factory. You shouldn't look down on your brother."

Sheela, with teary eyes, nodded unwillingly, "I apologize, Mother, Father."

"Don't apologize to us. Apologize to your brother," Elena nodded and said.

"I understand," Sheela bowed her head.
