<Detected completion of quest |You Dare Attack Me?|!>

<Claim reward now?>

[Yes/No]

Clay read the quest completion message as he finished knocking out the last person left.

'Hmm, do I claim the reward or not... Considering that I can kind of control my strength right now if I don't get distracted, I think it's okay to claim this small reward compared to the quest I put on hold that has 300 stat points and a lot of EXP as a reward' Clay fell in deep thought.

'There's still about ten minutes left before the agreed meet-up time... I think... Yep, never mind, I'm gonna claim the reward once I'm at the academy. If I claim the reward and my strength becomes uncontrollable and that situation happens again... I don't even want to think about it' Clay grimaced.

Clay took out his map as he glanced at the unconscious men one last time.

Suddenly Clay had an idea.

...

..

.

Clay's body was being reconstructed by light on a street leading to the village hall, causing many passersby who weren't familiar with this phenomenon to get scared out of their lives seeing a decapitated body seemingly regenerate from the foot up.

"Hehehe" Clay cackled as he rummaged through a pouch he had 'coincidentally' picked up from the floor.

'Jackpot! Those guys really made a good living scamming people considering that this pouch alone has over 17 Silts, I wonder how much money the other pouches I picked up had, I'll check those out at the academy later' Clay grinned from ear to ear as he fantasized how much money he had 'made'.

Clay settled the pouch at his waist as he finally saw the village hall in the distance, that and the people flocking towards it, most being teenagers.

'This is it huh, I'm gonna miss this place' Clay was a little bit melancholic as he stood in front of the open doors of the village hall.

"What's that guy doing, he's just standing there blocking the entrance" A person behind Clay commented.

"Then you go and tell him to move out of the way" Another person behind Clay commented.

"I don't wanna talk to him, he seems weird. You go instead" The person replied.

Clay who could hear all of this thanks to his now sensitive ears was feeling a tinge of embarrassment. He wanted to move out of the way but that would make them think that he could hear them, the people who were talking about him that is, and he didn't want to make it any more awkward than it is embarrassing for him already. But he also didn't want to take a long time to move away as that would also result in the same thing.

So Clay did the next best thing. He acted like he was checking out the doors in amazement then he nodded and proceeded to go in.

"Yep, you were right, he IS a weirdo" The first person agreed.

Clay's ears twitched as he resisted the urge to scream at them 'I CAN HEAR YOU GUYS YOU KNOW!'.

Clay walked towards the center where everybody else was gathered while he was looking for Josh.

'Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh... Oh! There you are!' Clay sprinted to where Josh was leaving a gust of wind in the process, causing the skirts of some young maidens to lift up showing some unforgettable sights to the boys who were lucky enough to see it. All of this happened while Clay appeared right behind Josh.

"Yo! When are we gonna leave?" Clay asked Josh, much to the latter's surprise.

"Clay! You're here, heh, thought that we would have to leave without you. Glad to see you made it in time" Josh smirked at Clay.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, anyway, when are we leaving?"

"Hmm, should be in around five minutes" Josh shrugged his shoulders, unsure of his own answer.

"They didn't announce anything? Not even saying a word after you got here?"

"Nope, I arrived here early but I still haven't heard anyone say anything" Josh shrugged again.

"Really? We must be early then" Clay sighed in relief.

"I don't think so, this is already around the time they said we would leave, so you basically arrived the moment we were supposed to depart" Josh shook his head.

"Huh. That doesn't make sense. Shouldn't they have already made an announcement then?"

"I know right? Something must've happened, I think" Josh furrowed his brows.

"That can't be right, right?" Clay highly doubted Josh's speculations.

"Who knows, no one's really saying anything after all" Josh shrugged his shoulder another time.

"Attention!" As Josh and Clay were about to talk some more about why there were no announcements, the said announcements finally happened.

"We will be departing shortly, but first, we will have to do a headcount, for the people who aren't here yet, we will wait an additional five minutes before we start the headcount, after that, we shall make our leave for the academy" The same secretary from yesterday made an announcement.

"Looks like I arrived just in time for the announcement" Clay grinned at the perfect timing of his arrival and the announcement.

"Yeah, right, more like just barely in time for the announcement" Josh scoffed.

"Nope, it was perfect timing" Clay argued.

What followed were some arguments and mild insults being thrown here and there between the two boys.

5 minutes later...

"At least I don't act like a cringy wannabe hero when no one's around" Clay spat out at Josh.

"You-" Josh got cut off by an announcement.

"Alright, five minutes have already elapsed. We shall now begin the headcount..." The secretary began counting and jotting down some things on her notepad.

"Hmm, good, seems like everyone is here, Vrans, activate the formation" The secretary nodded as she counted 14 heads and gave orders to the same man called Vrans who had a beard almost touching the ground holding a staff beside her.

"What formation miss?" The man innocently asked.

A vein popped on the secretary's head.

"What else!? The teleportation formation we already have prepared?! Or are you going to create another formation and we'll activate that instead?!" The secretary scolded the man.
