Chapter Hundred and ten

I looked at myself in the mirror as I inserted my last earrings on, would I be able the leave here but my daughter? I can't imagine not visiting or seeing her face now that she has been taken away from me, I sigh and covered my face with my palm but every minute I spend here was like a death sentence. I just wanted to escape and now I'm shown the only way to escape still I couldn't have to take it, I looked at my appearance I was wearing a sea blue gown that was slightly cut on the neck, it look official and beautiful I would have danced in front of the mirror and complimented my cloth and appearance but I was just looking numb, I couldn't move my feet to dance or my face to smile.

A party was held between companies, the supporter who I had to convince was going to be there and Sam also, it gave a little fulfillment on how shockeded he was going to be when he found out that I was working with his rival, this time I smiled a little and I was going to do my best to make sure we were the one who has a deal with that man and not him, I straighten my hair before walking downstairs. A driver was already waiting for me, I nodded to him before entering the car. I just wish today goes right and I can't see how shocked Sam would be. The car finally drove to a stop in front of the building, I couldn't stop marveling at the view. "You look beautiful" I heard John compliment as he approached me. "Thanks"

I smile, the instant I felt his hand on my lips widening it a bit more. "You should smile more, you got this" I nodded and allowed him to escort me into the building. "Wow, I couldn't keep my eyes still. " Becca, he called to get my attention "We need him to agree with us, we're trusting you in this" I nodded and grabbed a drink from the passing waiter. "Here he comes! John whisper before turning to greet him. " Hello Mr. John". "Einstein" he shook his hand. "Is nice seeing you after a long time"  "You too, I heard the company is doing well" John smiled "Has improved in a lot of things doing the years"

Einstein finally turned to me, "This is Becca, one of my associates". "It's nice to see you Becca" he stretched out his palm and I took it. "I'll leave you guys to get to know each other" John nodded to me before leaving us both. "Why don't we grab a drink, I smiled to him and led him to the mini bar, this was the best place to talk to him. " How long have you known John? I asked sipping my glass and watching him through my lashes. "It have been five years now"  "That's long,  " Yeah, it have been". Then I listen to him as he talked about the first day he met John and their relationship too, I listen without bothering to interrupt any of his speech, it was really nice getting to know him well then convincing him won't be a problem.

"Would you ever agree to work with another company after having this much common with John over the years?  " It depends on the company that is more reliable". "money right? I smiled knowing that he's interest was only focus on the largest interest " I see you got me" he winked at me as I watched him gulped down his drink. "How about we have a nice dinner tomorrow then we can discuss more about our deal together" I waited for his respond, hoping that her won'tt refuse. "Okay, but I except it to be good" I nodded and stood up, why don't we go meet the other guest, it would be nice learning more from the circle "I like you"  I heard him said but I ignored casually without a word.

We went back to John who was speaking with one of the guest, he lookee at me in question and I must smiled at him without giving him any answer, we engaged in discussion witg the guest, just as I was about to turn my eyes met the one person I hated in the whole workd "Sam" I stood still and glared at him in anger. "Just can't down and take a deep breath, don't give him the satisfaction that his presence still affect you" John whispered and looked away but I still couldn't moved my eyes away till he turn and caught my eyes. Yeah he was shock for some minutes before muttering something to the people around him before making his way toward me. 

"Becca, he calls before turning to look up at John who was on his fifth glass. " It nice to meet you again Sam". Nothing in John case indicate any friendly gesture or greeting, Sam stare from John to me. "Let me introduce my new colleague, John began. " Her name is Becca... "You don't have to bother about that" Sam cut him off sharp still watching me. "Colleagues! Pttf!! Are you being serious Becca and on top of that your working with them! I saw his jaw clenched in anger. " Isn't it amazing, I grin. "How dare you! Sam turned to John trying his best to keep his anger in control. " You don't have any right to have Becca as one of your colleague"

"And why is that? I asked. " Because you don't have any right to work for my enemy! I walked slowly toward him and reached yo to his ears. "I am also one of your enemy" I withdrew away with a smile on my face before walking away, I was happy to see how angry he was and how dare that monster think he could control me, he was going to get what he asked for and no matter what and no matter what I'm not backing out.
