The Trap That Jack Made

Jane had moved and remembered the large room with the fireplace. The place where she spent dinner with Jack after dipping in the pool.

A cell phone was tightly attached to Jane's ear. She was talking to Kaila at the time. Jane had finished talking about an offer from Jacob.

"Jane!? Why don't you learn from your experience? You shouldn't have to accept strange offers from strangers you're meeting for the first time?" Kaila has started advising Jane.

Kaila thinks Jane's decision was a big mistake. "Even young children are taught not to trust strangers. And you?! You even agree! It's ridiculous, Jane."

"Kaila, I'm doing this to keep George from getting involved in more complicated matters. Mr. Denzel will be furious. There's no way he'd be silent if he knew the painting wasn't in his gallery," Jane explained.
