Piled Burden

Dinner that day was different because of the presence of Jane, Matthew, and Robert. Even Brigita has prepared main dishes and desserts that taste delicious and sweet.

"I'm happy when you guys come to visit this place," said Brigita as she wiped the corners of her lips, she had just finished her meal.

"Sorry that we don't visit often. You know how busy Jack is." Selena finished her meal and she drank her drink slowly.

"Who's busy? Me? At least, I'm in London, unlike you who keep traveling the world," Jack chimed in with Selena's words.

"Come on, we just got together. Don't spoil the mood tonight with your bickering. Ah… how can I bring you a delicious dessert. I'm sure you all will like it," said Brigita as she rose from her seat.

The atmosphere became awkward when Brigita left due to the presence of a stranger among them. Robert looked at Jack and Jane.

"Thanks for inviting me," Robert finally spoke as he finished his dinner.
