Chapter 3: Memories of past

Ana in her mind thought, "Did he also tell me to go up and down if I make a mistake? She bit her nails and took her foot in. NO..NO..NO. Ana don't panic, all will be well. You can do it. Yes you can do it..

He is facing the glass wall talking in Bluetooth. Once done, he asked for the Mehta file from Ana. She looks at him, blinking her eyes. "Are you deaf..i said pass me that damn file"

Nervously she looked here and there and grabbed any random file and gave it to him.

"Bloody hell. Give that a red one. Ana was on the verge of losing her patience. Her boss is so arrogant and rude, she mumbled in her mind.

He is a boss that doesn't mean he can dictate to me. I can't take this insult.

"Where the hell is your concentration today, Ryann. Are you deaf or what?" He thinks Ryann is standing behind him and scolds her without looking back.

Losing sanity, Ana exclaimed. "Excuse me! This is not the way to talk with a girl." A soft melodious voice echoed him for the first time letting him spin 360 degrees.

"Who are you?" That sounds so rude to her. She has no habit to take so much ill manners in her life.

"Whoever I am, you have no right to treat a girl like this. Say sorry to me."

"Excuse me" Raising his one eyebrow in bewilderment. Was this tiny girl really in her senses? She asked me to apologize. Doesn't she know there is no sorry word in Stevin Mark's dictionary?

"You heard me right Mr. boss. Say sorry else I will I will.."

"You will do what?" He hissed walking toward her. Ana widened her eyes seeing his advances and she yelled at him. "You are crossing your limits.

The arguments heated up and she didn't realize she crumbled his file which she was holding.

"What the Fuck"

You use bad words to me." Getting angry, she took the glass jug and splash water on his face.. Within a second his eyes set at fire. He clenched his fist in a hard punch.

For the first time someone got the guts to raise voice in front of Asr. On top of that, this woman dared to throw water on him. Her this act drove him mad.

Ana nervously glares at him as he continues to advance toward her in a slow determined step. She moved backward until her back hit the wall.

Reaching close, he asks. "Who the hell are you"

"I am Ana Davis. I have come here to give an interview for your personal secretary."

YOU ARE FIRED. GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He shouted on top of the lungs making her shift in fear. She lost her balance and tripped from the first floor. But he was too fast to save her from falling.

Stevin came back to his senses as he felt a tab on his shoulder. Amelia looks at him. "Bhai she is fine now.. Doctor said she has kept her under observation for two days."

"Okay. it's getting late, you should go home now."

"No bhai..i can't leave her in this state."

"No arguments. You are going home and that's final."

"But bhai I wanted to stay."

His one glare put full stop in their conversation. Making a face, she went along with him not before giving one last glance to Ana

At midnight:

With slow and meaningful steps, Stevin headed toward the ward. He sighed holding the knob of the door and decided to get inside. The room was dark but he could see a lady was laying on the bed with her back facing him.

Anyhow he needed to confirm. Is she the one he was thinking of? He really hopes she is not the woman Amelia was talking about.

Maintaining his calm, he strides toward her. The creak was enough to alert her senses. The memories that haunted her every single moment felt so near to her..

The anger and hatred he stored finally released as his eyes fell on her.
