Story 1

Seung-Min glances around furtively as he heads towards the airlock. He pauses in front of the door and takes a deep breath, preparing himself. He cautiously turns the valve on the door. The airlock doors begin sliding along the rails, creating an aperture large enough for him to pass through.

Seung-Min enters the large chamber and closes the outer airlock behind him. He turns the wheel on the inner door and the sound of air being evacuated fills the room. After several minutes, an indicator blinks green. He opens the inner door and exits into the main deck.

He walks around the main deck, taking in the state of disrepair. Parts of the console have been ripped apart and exposed wires hang loosely from the ceiling above. Several grate plates are bent out of shape, and the light flickers a little. Seung-Min pauses by the console, taking the time to look over the panel. Several indicator lights blink a bright yellow, indicating various failures in the system.

Seung-Min sighs and turns away from the console, starting to make his way towards the cockpit. He walks past several sections of the ship, seeing that they are equally messed up. The walls are bent and warped, exposing bare metal and wires. He reaches the cockpit door and pauses, listening for anything unusual. He opens the cockpit door and steps inside. The cockpit is an even bigger mess than the main deck. The control panel is a tangled mess of wires, and the main console is cracked.

Seung-Min sighs and sits down in the pilot's seat, carefully running his hand along the surface of the cracked console. He looks at all the wires surrounding him and shakes his head in disappointment.

I've got to reroute these systems in the right order, this could take weeks...maybe months even.

Seung-Min grabs a pair of wire jumpers and begins connecting the wires in the correct order. He works patiently, trying to ignore the mess around him and focus on the task at hand. Seung-Min works on the wires for what seems like an eternity. He makes sure to check each wire for continuity, being careful not to accidentally short anything out. He works slowly and carefully, hoping to not damage the systems any more than they already have been.

Seung-Min finishes connecting the wires and sighs in relief. He closes the panel and switches the system back on, waiting for a response. The system starts beeping loudly as a map of the ship pops up, indicating several sections going offline. Seung-Min stares at the screen for a few moments before shaking his head.

"Great...another problem to fix..." Seung-Min mutters to himself. He turns off the diagnostics and begins rerouting the power distribution of the system, hoping that he can at least get a few of the broken sections back online.

Seung-Min stares at the diagnostics, frustrated by the continued failures. He tries to stay calm and focuses on dealing with one problem at a time. However, his calm demeanour slowly fades as the indicators turn from yellow to red. Seung-Min looks at the growing number of red indicators, his mood darkening further. The ship starts trembling again, increasing in intensity. The lights flicker more frequently, and the alarms get louder.

Seung-Min feels another tremor and hears a loud boom coming from the ship's left engine. The lights flicker more frequently, and the alarms get louder and more intense. Seung-Min pulls up the system diagnostics to check for damage.

The indicator for the left engine shows red with "MAJOR DAMAGE" in large white letters. Seung-Min looks over the list of diagnostic readings with growing frustration and concern. The ship continues to tremble and the alarms sound louder than ever. Then, nothing. Just silence.
