Chapter 9: Graduation day and Board Exam...

After the internship month, all the graduating students with their interned uniform met up at the campus. They were called by the chairperson for their graduation day. The schedule for graduation's practice was announced and their graduation day was on April 13, 2018.

The instructor of Real amd the same time the chairperson of the education department approached him and said," Real there is a possibility that you can graduate as Cum Laude", and he replied," it is impossible ma'am, what is the most important to me os that I am sure that I can graduate". "Don't worry, I am going to monitor your grades and update you".

Okay Ma'am, thank you so much." The chairperson was one of the instructor who believed on Real's ability and capacity. His Slstatistics instructor and the same time the research director approached him, also one of the instructor who believed on Real and said, " You will graduate as Cum Laude, I already computed your grades," and Real replied, that is impossible sir, I am not like those who deserve that honor, I am an ordinary student only, I am not intellegent as they are and I am not deserving for that award." No you will! ", his instructor insisted.

Let's make a deal sir, if ever I will recieved that award, I will buy a couple case of bear and personally deliver it to your house, deal? His instructor agreed.

Practice day arrived and the chairperson announced the honor students, a Magna Cum Laude and 18 Cum Laude. The Cum Laude was announced and called, while the chairperson reading the list of cum laude, Real wasn't called on the list and he said, it is impossible for me to recieved that award. But the last spot but not the least was called, the 18th Cum Laude was Real. He can't believed he did, he doesn't know what to do, how to react.

When he went outside, unexpectedly, his instructor, the research director was waiting outside, he said," see? you are included! I win, I will wait when the couple of beer arrived at my house, I am always their. Real smiled and relpied, " It will ve deliever in no time sir!

A day before graduation, he called his father and said, " Papa, tomorrow is my graduation, you will be the one to go to the stage with me. His father said, I am very happy son, finally, you will graduate and I am going to find money now so that I can go their.

His father doesn't know that his son will graduate as Cum Laude. His father only saved $13.67 only. Abs, classmate of Real and they lived in the same municipality and barangay said," Real, my family will rent a service, called your father and tell him he can go with my family to save fare". "Thank you so much abs, I will inform my father now."

Graduation day, his father wore old polo shirt and a pants for he didn't buy a new one, he first pruoritized the needs of Real. He was confused that he with his was seated in the front and he was more surprized and shocked when the emcee annouced and called," Real Arizo, Cum Laude". His father doesn't know how to react, he was dazed in seconds. His son said, "dad, let's go on stage", they recieved the diploma and the medal that was engraved with cum laude. They shook hands with the personnel and guest of the school and went back to their sit.

His father said, "why did you not tell me that you are on e of the cum laude? , he replied," It is a surprise dad, you know hahahaha. After the graduation, they went outside and went back to their respective boarding house.

They slept on the boarding house and went home after the day of graduation. Real also visited his mother and said that he already graduated. His mother got emotional, and cooked a little pancit and chicken.

Days after graduation, Real went home to his hometown and relaxed and prepared for the upcoming review for the Licensure Examination for Teachers. He help his father in the farm so that they earned money to be used to enroll in a review center.

After a month, he enrolled in a review center. He git a discount since he was a cumlaude. Their review was three successive days in a week and the remaining days of the week was intended to help his father on the farm.

After four months, before graduation, they needed to transfer to Davao City for the 3 days final coaching for the upcoming Board Exam. Real rode a bus with a little allowance that he doesn't know if he survived or not.

He always thought where he can sleep in the city, since his allowance wasn't enough. Luckily, his classmate Abs offered again that Real can sleep on the subdivision where Abs will stay during the final coaching. Real was so happy that he saved money and his prayer was answered.

One day, while they were on their way to the SM City Convention for the final coaching, Real forgot his Identification Card which was needed as a requirement to enter the review center. Half way on their travel he got off from the jeepney and told Abs, "I forgot my Identification Card, I will return to the subdivision to get it". Are you sure ? do you remember where we stay?" " I think so". "Okay take care".

Real saw a jeep coming with a signage mandug, he rode the jeed. After an hour he was confused that the roads were different, and it took long already and still he didn't arrive on gis destination.

Real thought that mandug was the only place of subdivision but it wasn't, because there were lots of mandug place. He got off from the jeen and ask the driver. "What place is this?" "This is Mandug phase 10". Real doesn't know what to do.

What would happened to Real? Was he able to went back, or trap in the place. Someone approve and wispered dont shout with a thing point on Real's body. Was that a holdup? Let's find out on the next chapter.
