Shadow woke in a fright from the most realistic nightmare. His body was sweating and he was panting. Fear in his eyes as he glared around the room to figure out what the hell happened between him attacking Donavan to now. Where was he? His eyes glanced the room quickly seeing he was in a hotel, in a bed alone. /"Fuck./"

He cursed trying to sit up quickly to find his family. Then his ears picked up on them in the next room. He opened it to see them all sitting around the room with sad looks on their faces.

/"Shadow!/"

Melody was the second to notice him after Savion’s head yanked up from the door opening. He sat right in front of the front door with a clear shot to the other room where Shadow came out of. That let Shadow know they weren’t out of the clear yet. Donavan was still out there. He reached and squeezed Melody tight as she hugged him.
