Persephone could literally hear her heartbeat thudding against her chest as she looked into Tekos' anticipating eyes.
"Wha- what is it?" She mumbled through quivering lips. She had a feeling in the pit of her stomach that she knew what he was going to ask for, what else could it be?
They were alone in his apartment, sitting mere inches apart, and he was gazing at her like she was the most delectable meal he had ever seen.
"Well, I was wondering if it would be okay with you, if I..." Tekos leaned forward, his breathing was slow and his face was flushed.
In a panic, Persephone placed her hand on his chest in an attempt to stop him from getting any closer, but he instead held her hand and kissed it before continuing to speak.
"Tekos..."
"Persephone, is it alright if I refer to you by a more endearing name, 'babe' maybe?"
