Not Much to Life is There?

(New kid) Keiths POV-

I could not help but laugh at the thought of having actual friends. I was always a loner and never wanted anything to do with anyone, and I wasn't going to start having a friend today. Some random 7th grader walked up to me, clearly not knowing who I was. I didn't like scrawny little kids and I didn't like the way he was looking at me. He asked me to be his friend, at first, I got cheerful, then realized my mistake. "Go away kid," I said as I closed my locker and walked away from him. I was not in the mood for little kids today and nor was I in the mood for my next class.

The 6th period was next and it's the worst class ever. The subject wasn't bad, more like the teacher. I loved science, as it was my favorite subject in the world, but Mr.Jameson was not your ordinary teacher. He used to work for a Police Academy across the country, which showed discipline in a disgusting way. He'd make us stand with one leg and drink the most disgusting drink he could make. If we fell from our one leg position, we'd have to run 3 miles on the school track. Running wasn't a problem as I was pretty fast. He made everyone do it before. He had a soft spot for Clarity, also known as "Little Miss Perfect". She never gets in trouble and has straight A's. I don't really care for grades though and would rather spend my lunch in the Music Room than studying for a test like Miss Perfect.

"Mr.Robinson, late again?" He says as I walk through the classroom door."Yea, yea sorry it won't happen again," I say while I roll my eyes at the floor. I hated it when he called me by my last name. "It better not." He says before resuming instruction. I sat in my seat near the back row and pulled out my notebook. Everything Mr.Jameson was saying, I had learned last year which meant a pop quiz would be easy. Assuming there was a pop quiz today. I listened to 15% of what he was saying then decided I would just ditch class. I raised my hand waiting to be called on.

He pointed at me with his marker in hand and said "What do you want Keith?" He seemed annoyed at me, so this plan might not work. "Can I use the restroom?" I say after I put my hand down in a sudden movement. "Oh, now that you reminded me, we have a quiz today no one can leave class until everyone finishes. You're going to have to hold it." He says with a pleasant look, which didn't seem so pleasant to me. -"Keith!" "Why!" "MY GOD WHY!" "NO NOT A QUIZ."- I hear as I tuck my hoodie over my head avoiding eye contact with anyone. I didn't want to see they're annoyed faces and death stares. I hear a "Your dead at recess" which startles me a bit, but I can handle a fight. "Put your notes away! POP QUIZ!" Mr.Jameson says as he walks over to a stack of papers on the very corner of his table. "Argh" I hear many voices groan out. "Clarity? Pass these out." He says as he hands them in her direction. "Yes sir!" She says with a cheerful smile. "She seems way too happy about a quiz," I mumble under my breath while putting my notebook away.

After I finished, I decided to wait until everyone else was done to avoid any other conflict. I felt oppressed and impatient for everyone to finish as I put my pencil in my bag."Hurry up already." I say in my head hoping someone can read minds. "Mr.Jameson!?" I hear a girl from the front of the class yell like she's getting kidnapped. I look up to see a girl raising her hand impatiently and waving it around. "Yes, Eliza what do you want?" Mr.Jameson says as he looks up from his computer. " I finished my test," she says before pausing to assure herself everyone else was finished. "First." She finishes her sentence with. "Ugh," I say as I roll my eyes at her. "I HEARD THAT," She says before turning around in a fast movement. I immediately put my head down and pulled my hoodie back up from its sunken position. She scans the room and stops directly at me. I peek up from my hoodie to find her stare me straight in the eyes. "What?" I mouth out. She doesn't say anything and instead keeps staring.

Now I start hoping someone will break the silence and get this 2 year old to sit down. "Eliza, enough. Bring me your assignment." Mr.Jameson says saving me from death. "Finally" I mumble as I pick my head back up to my desk. "But- He said- He just- UGH!" She says before stomping her way to his desk. And a point for me, let's go. I smirk and she starts growling like a dog waiting to attack me. I can feel her eyes looking at me even though she's turned away for me. I don't feel comfortable getting saved by the worst teacher ever, but I'll take it.
