Chapter 10- The breakthrough

Sunday, a day where the students had their holiday.

"So slow, I think I need to change my method." Deep in the forest, a youth sitting cross-leg in a cave complained when he saw the faint mist enveloping his body.

Stopping his practice, Jack fell into deep thought as he keeps on complementing the body tempering he acquired. 'This method is too slow, after practicing this method in half a month of time, my strength only increases to two hundred and fifty pounds.'

'I remembered that Yiyi told me, that the human body had twelve levels of tempering, the first level contained the strength of one thousand pounds.'

'Comparing my strength to one thousand pounds, I am quite far from entering the first level. Furthermore, with my lifespan of five years, I don't think I could step into twelve level with this kind of speed.'

A frown appeared on his emotionless face when he thought of it. 'Yiyi said that the Heavenly energy is quite low, so my practice was slow. If it possible to absorb psychic power to temper my body I already step in the first level a long time ago.'

Jack stood up and exclaim.'Maybe.'

Sitting in cross-leg, Jack focused on controlling his psychic power to convert it to psychic energy, a faint of dense mist quickly covered his body as it entered on his pores.

'According to Yiyi, the first three stage is the tempering of skin and muscle.'

After absorbing the mist surrounding his body, Jack closed his pores with his psychic power to block the psychic energy from coming out. Inside of his body, Jack controlled the psychic energy to temper his muscle and skin, throughout the whole process his body started to turn red and paleness appeared on his face.

Jack knew that continuously using his psychic power will exhaust his mental energy, he expected, that he will only use a small amount of it. But he didn't expect, the consumption to be terrifying, he nearly exhausted his psychic power just by converting it to psychic energy.

So controlling the psychic energy was getting harder as he felt fatigue in his brain.

His face turned pale as dizziness struck him, but he gritted his teeth to endure. When Jack's brains increase to thirty percent capacity, multitasking became quite easy for him, while he was controlling his mental energy, he was also observing his status screen to monitor his psychic force.

Seeing his strength increasing at a tremendous rate, he sighs in relief, when he saw that his method is working. Jack thought that, If he knew that he could tamper the tempering of that dragon, he already did it a long time ago so why would Yiyi not mention it?

He didn't know that if Yiyi saw him, he will be shocked, changing the method of a supreme is basically, Impossible!

Even a God couldn't casually change the nature of skills and technique, so Jack who was taking pleasure in his success will make a God speechless when they saw him. Jack hit twelve points on his psychic force so seeing the number '1/12' on his status screen, his face change. If he failed to break through, a terrifying consequence is likely to come, so he gritted his teeth as he fastens the process of his body tempering.

He stopped looking at his status screen and focused on his body tempering, the redness on his body turned denser. When his strength reaches the nine-hundred and ninety-nine pounds, he fainted, as his psychic force hit '0/12'.

After Jack fainted, a blue light covered body as it entered on his pores, mouth, and ears. Jack's eyes trembled as a blue light ray shootout from his eyes that made the dark cave lit up when the blue light diminishes, he stands up and lazily said. "That fool, how could he lose consciouses when I was in my peaceful sleep." Looking at his clothes that drenched in a black substance, a foul smell assaulted his nose that made him frown. His blue eyes contain a hint of displeasure on his face as he made his way out through the cave.

"Hmm, his power already achieves this much, so I think I can use it to teleport from this place to his house." Jack look at the sky, as he smiled lazily then disappeared in an instant, the surrounding became peaceful as you could hear the fish and trees humming in harmony.

"Tsk, those old fools;" Marie muttered as she drove her car faster than usual when she thought of her superior that nagged her to go to the Philippines branch. In the Philippines, a cave was discover with treasure that came from the unknown era. The outside of the cave seems ordinary, but upon entering inside, you will find yourself sucked in a mysterious place.

The team who found and entered that cave went missing, they only heard from their communication device, that they found a cave filled with treasure when they were about to asked something the communication was cut off. The Philippines branch hurriedly dispatches an investigation team to search the cave, but after the investigation team that consists of C-class holder entered the cave they also lose the communication with them, so they classified that place as a B-class mission.

The higher-ups decided to dispatch Marie, a peak B-class that going to be A-class in the future to ensure the mission to be completed. This way, they can also avoid losing most of their 'Holder' to that unknown place.

The higher-ups also thought that dispatching Marie was the right thing to do as her experience was something that any "Holder' of the organization can match.

If she was not willing to take this mission, the higher-ups, will not be able to do anything but sigh. Marie was one of their founders so forcing her will incur the wrath of the other founder who is the pillar of their organization. Fortunately, Marie neither agree or decline as she told them that to gave her time to think.

"Jack!" Marie clicks the doorbell as she doesn't want to destroy the door anymore. 'Why did I forget the key, when I left Jack two weeks ago and fixing this door was my hard word so destroying it is a waste.' When she thought of how she left Jack for two weeks without informing him, she felt smacking herself.

'Why do I forget many things this day.' Marie felt sorry for Jack, but the circumstances of his parents made her worry, so she tends to forget a lot of things.

"JACK!" Marie shouted as she waited for almost 30minutes outside the door, just when she decided to destroy the door. "What a bother, do people this day like disturbing someone in their sleep?"

Marie was about to smack Jack in his head, but stopped, as she gazes at her nephew in shocked. 'Is this my little Jack!"

Jack currently wear a loose pajama as you could no longer see his hand and feet from their size that dictate it belong to his father. The thing that shocked her, Jack brown eyes turned blue, she suddenly thought.'Is the kids nowadays like to wear lens?'
