Un-Solo Leveling

This is my new fan-fiction work. A story of someone who gets a chance to reincarnate into the world of Solo Leveling. It's an alternate universe where Jin Woo's decision to reverse the time ended up badly for the Earth's future so he needs to fix it, but he needs someone's help. A young man's soul is chosen to help him save the Earth by going to the past. The young man receives the power to grow stronger in the world where Awakeners can't get stronger after their awakening, just like Sung Jin Woo, but not really the same. With his power, he is determined to keep getting stronger and protect the Earth. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ I have uploaded up to +30 chapters in my Patreon page. 44. Return

Indra and Dewi finally go home on Wednesday using a commercial airplane as they requested. They get first class seats, of course. So it's still very comfortable even though it's just an hour flight.

When they arrived at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, many people were waiting for them. The people in Bali are very happy to have 2 S-Rank Hunters and they came here to congratulate the 2 of them.

Their family is also among the crowd and the people from Hunter Bureau are guarding them. People are taking photos and videos as they walk. Many reporters even ask questions from afar because they can't get closer due to the officers that block them.

Indra and Dewi don't want to answer the reporters, so they quickly leave the Airport with their family. It's not just their parents and little brother that come to pick them up, but their grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins are coming too. They actually came using a small bus that the Hunter Bureau rents.

Their family has a lot of questions too and obviously they answer. But they only give answers that won't make their family worried. There's no way they'll tell them that Dewi was fighting an S-Rank Hunter or that Indra was having arguments with the President and some Ministers.

"So, did you manage to convince them to make both of you stay here?"

"Yes, we talked with the Central Hunter Bureau Director and he agreed with our points, so he will talk with the Government. He will make sure we both can stay in Bali because there's an important reason. Bali is an international tourist spot and many people from all over the world come here almost every day. If something were to happen to them, then it will be bad for our country."

"Ah, well, the number of tourists visiting us has dropped a lot since Gates started appearing. It has gotten better since the founding of the magic power measurement device to check the power of Hunters and difficulties of Gates. But our progress is much slower than other countries. Is it related to the number of high ranking Hunters we have?"

"Maybe it is. After all, people will be worried about their safety when they travel to other countries. Not having S-Rank Hunters here must have affected their trust."

Of course, Indra has told the Central Hunter Bureau Director about this problem. The income from tourists isn't small, so he hopes those politicians won't be stupid enough to keep that rule. Well, they'll be really stupid if they prefer losing 2 S-Rank Hunters just for their ego.

The next day, Indra goes to the city's Hunter Bureau to ask about the necessary requirements to build a Guild. There are only two requirements. Raid experience and minimum number of Hunters in the Guild. It applies to all ranks.

The only privilege of S-Rank Hunters is they don't need to submit annoying documents. They just need to fill a form in the Hunter Bureau about their Guilds and the Bureau will take care of the rest.

"So the one who wants to build the Guild, a.k.a the Guild Master needs to at least succeed in raiding 10 C-Rank Gates and have at least 10 Hunters. There are no specific ranks for the Hunters that join?"

"No, sir. But it is advised to recruit higher ranking Hunter first for the Guild's raid team. Low rank hunters are usually only working as porters, miners, or dismantlers in the Guilds, after all, which are important but not very crucial because the Hunter Bureau is providing dismantling service and as porters or miners, the raid team can do it themselves before attacking the boss."

"Hmm, so it's like that. So I can post my Guild's recruitment on the National Hunter website after I complete the 1st requirement?"

"Yes, sir. You can post it there, but you need to select them yourself. The website is just a place to advertise. Sometimes there are also recruitments for one time job contracts that happen when a Guild needs more people to raid a dungeon but don't have enough members to participate."

"Hmm, alright then. So my sister and I can accept those one-time contracts until we cleared 10 Gates?"

"Yes. Or you can buy the rights to attack dungeons and recruit people. Attacking dungeons isn't limited to just Guilds or the Hunter Bureau. Individuals can set their own attack teams to raid dungeons. But there aren't many who do it because buying the rights for Gates is expensive and they usually can't find enough members. Each rank of Gates also has different minimum requirements for the raid teams' compositions."

The minimum requirements are not difficult to understand. They just need at least 10 Hunters with the same rank as the Gate's rank. So if they attack an A-Rank Gate, they need at least 10 A-Rank Hunters, 10 B-Rank Hunters for a B-Rank Gate, and so on.

Higher level Hunters are still counted as 1 in the requirement slots. So if an A-Rank Hunter joined a B-Rank Gate's raid, then he won't be counted as 2 or 3 B-Ranks even if he is much stronger, but he is still counted as 1 B-Rank in the requirement slots.

However, a lower level Hunters won't be counted in the requirement. So if an A-Rank Gate attack team only has 9 A-Rank Hunters, then they can't raid the Gate even if they have 100 B-Rank Hunters. The Bureau is very strict with this rule because they want to make sure the clearing chance is higher and there won't be too many casualties.

"There are actually recommended team compositions for each Gate's rank. These compositions are stronger than the minimum ones. They also have very high success rates and very low chances of getting casualties. We have made some possible team compositions of Hunters with different ranks that can increase their success rates by a lot. But the simplest recommended composition is just doubling the minimum requirements. So instead of 10, it's recommended to make a team of 20 Hunters with the same rank as the Gate."

It surely is much safer and has much higher success rates. But then the profit for the Hunters will reduce because they need to split it with more people. That's why most raid teams only use the minimum number even if the risk is still high just so they will get more profit.

"Hmm, so I need to have at least 8 A-Rank Hunters in my Guild if I want to raid A-Rank Gates, huh? It will take some time to recruit them then, but it doesn't matter. By the way, is there any C-Rank Gate that will be attacked by a team from Hunter Bureau? My sister and I want to join if possible. I heard that you guys are clearing dungeons that aren't bought by Guilds and send Hunters that aren't members of Guilds. So that means my sister and I can join, right?"

"Yes, as long as we still have spots for you. Let me check if there are recruitments."

The staff member then searches it on the Hunter website for a while until he gets a result. Gates that are taken care of by The Hunter Bureau are Gates that aren't bought by Guilds for 3 days. So the Gates are reaching their time limits and need to be cleared quickly.

"There are 2 C-Rank Gates and a B-Rank Gate that are planned to be attacked soon."

"Is it possible to join the raids for all those 3 Dungeons? My sister and I need to get used to our power, so we want to keep testing our abilities. The best place to do that is dungeons because then we won't need to worry about damage to our surroundings."

"That's true. Then let me ask the Gate Management division first to see if they can change the schedules for the 3 Gates and let you join the Raids."

The staff member then calls someone and soon a tough looking woman comes. She is the leader of Gate Management Division and Indra can feel that she is an A-Rank Hunter.

"How rare. An A-Rank Hunter working for the Bureau. They usually join Guilds that can give them higher payments."

"You can tell that I'm an A-Rank?"

"Yeah, I've met some A-Ranks and you have a similar amount of magic power with them."

"As expected of an S-Rank. So, you want to join the raids for a B-Rank and 2 C-Rank Gates?"

"Yeah, is it possible?"

"Well, it is. We still haven't found enough hunters to raid those dungeons with good compositions and we don't want to raid dungeons with just minimum numbers because we want to increase the Hunters' safety. So having 2 S-Ranks in the raids is actually a good thing because it will be a lot safer. Also, we can finally see your abilities in battles. But your payment will be the same as the other Hunters, is that fine with you?"

"No problem."

Indra finally secures a way to raid dungeons legally after doing it illegally for months.
