The man pulled him forward when he didn't respond. Uteu nearly stumbled from his rough handling.
"The name is Welton Farman, pleased to meet you. You see, I was sent to fight against the Madame, but haha, lack of communication from the Popsicle caused me to be sent over here while she's over there. Damn jackass."
"..." Uteu didn't really know what Welton meant, all he knew was this guy was damn suspicious and was getting in his way.
Red energy crawled up his arms and he clenched his hands. He dashed out and threw a punch at Welton. The other man didn't even flinch as he casually stopped Uteu's fist with a finger from the hand that wasn't holding a cigarette.
"Tsk, you're not going to get anywhere with that weak strength. Wait, is this from a Thew? HAH, you hooked up with some random weak ass, didn't you?" Welton guffawed obnoxiously despite Uteu's furious kick.
Welton didn't even bother to stop the hit this time, the kick met his face and did absolutely nothing to him. The man abruptly stopped laughing and looked at him, completely unimpressed.
"Alright stop this shit, hurry up and talk. I'm here to make a mess out of that butch woman's office and get information since I can't fight her with how far away I am. There, that's how you do it. Now, it's your turn."
Uteu jumped back, feeling helpless, a small spark of fear entered his gut. He had never met anyone like this, someone so unfathomably strong that he couldn't even scratch him.
He took a step back and had to rethink how he would have to go about this.
He obviously can't defeat this man. At least, not like this.
Could he really tell this guy anything? He felt like he was endlessly meeting new people and it was starting to make his head spin. Needing to judge people the moment he met them was frustrating.
"I'm here to save someone." He said, deciding that it wasn't exactly something that needed to be kept secret.
"Hmm..." Welton flicked the cigarette onto the floor and crushed it with his foot. He then twisted around, drawing his fist close to his body and then threw out a punch. Uteu couldn't help but flinch as the punch sailed past him. It caused his hair to rustle and the impact sound of the fist to flesh so close to his ear, made Uteu tremble.
Wide eyed, Uteu watched as the man that had managed to sneak up behind him, get punched through a building.
Dusting off his hands, Welton casually raised an eyebrow and glanced at Uteu.
"Location?"
"... Madame's office." Uteu wasn't lying. The person holding Judith was somewhere around her office. While Uteu needed to head to the Madame's room to get to Uti, he did need to stop by the Madame's office to look for clues on Judith.
Welton gave Uteu a beaming smile, "There see? Was that so hard? We do have a common goal after all~ Let's go, lead the way."
Uteu was roughly shoved forward. Uteu narrowed his eyes. Despite his slight fear, he thought to himself that he would use this guy to clear his path at the least.
And sure enough, Welton ended up flattening anyone that approached them in seconds. Not one person could do a single thing against his monstrous strength.
Uteu had to begrudgingly admit that he was useful. However, he still tried his best to answer any questions aimed his way in the most vague way possible. Even if the questions were about mundane things, he didn't want this man to know anything about him.
As soon as this man's current interest in him ended, he would become a dangerous enemy. At least, that's what Uteu felt as he probed Welton mentally. Although he already felt cautious of the man, this cinched it. There was no compatibility with this man.
Rather, it felt like it was far in the negative.
If he had to give the feeling a color, he'd give it a black color. A complete darkness that threatened to swallow all of the light around it. He felt the brightly glowing silver spiga chain jingle at the back of his mind. Despite how glad he was that he could feel it a bit stronger now, a cold chill traveled up his spine. This man... was a threat to his Link somehow.
He didn't get to stay in his own mind, alone with his thoughts for long. With Welton bulldozing his way through people, they quickly approached the statue that Harvet had mentioned to Uteu earlier.
He almost sighed in relief when he saw it.
He needed to get away from this man as soon as he could. It didn't ease his mind in the slightest that he wasn't even sure if any of the people Welton punched were still alive.
Trying to get his rattled mind off of Welton, he observed the statue. It was of the Madame, a life like real life version from the bust upwards.
Welton chuckled darkly as he looked at it. He put his hand over it and Uteu flinched when the head of the statue was pulverized into dust.
He leveled a look at Uteu, his hand still outstretched at where the head of the statue used to be. Despite the smile on the man's lips, Uteu only felt incredibly discomforted. He shifted his weight to his left to head towards the Madame's office.
The longer he was in Welton's presence the more afraid he felt. His presence felt like a noose hanging loosely around his neck, ready to strangle him at any given moment.
He wanted to get this over with. Hopefully once the man reached his goal, he'd leave Uteu alone, or at least, give him a chance to slip away.
A chuckle reached his ears and Uteu trembled involuntarily and paused his steps. He could feel Welton's eyes boring into the back of his head.
"Hmm... you're kinda interesting for a kid."
Uteu wanted to shout that he didn't want to be interesting, especially not to him, but held his tongue.
"When we get to the office, I want to show you something."
Uteu cursed under his breath and resumed heading for the Madame's office.
The sound of amused laughter followed after him.
