Humanity is doing what it does best, fight against one another. The battlefields have little to no life. If one was to look at the planet from a distance, you would spots of grey throughout the planet, yet some areas seemed to be full of life.
There were civilizations throughout the world based on the abilities or equipment used to fight and what they believed. Some still relied on Technology and science to fight in their wars, their territories were usually clean and if you took a deep breath of the air some say that you can feel slight sparks. This civilization is known as the "Technological Advanced Mechanics" or Tam for short which as suggested by the name are humans who make their machines, such as electromagnetic weapons, energy weapons, Mecha suits, etc. to fight their wars and who prioritize intelligence and technique the most.
Then there was the civilization that went back to being more primal, focused on raw power and strength to fight their wars, they would at young ages learn how to use all sorts of weapons ranging from swords, bows, spears, axes, scythes, chains, and the list goes on for a while. They studied many types of fighting whether from Martial arts, or from looking at how a predator would attack it's prey. They live by the law of the Jungle, survival of the fittest. They are known as the Primals.
There is a civilization that has discovered new abilities and can use Magic, they as a whole can use all types of magic, but all people can only use a type of magic which is based on the attribute they gain by the ritual of magical awakening, which is done at from when they are born through when they reach the age of 3. They are born with a set amount of mana that can't be changed, but the way the magic is used is only limited by the imagination. This Civilization is known as the Magi civilization.
These 3 Civilizations live across the world, but Humanity doesn't have control over all the world's land, there are 3 different land types.
There are the grey barren battlefields filled with dead bodies of Humans and animals unlucky enough to pass by. these lands take up the majority of the planet there are the plains that have freshwater lakes and rivers, with nature thriving throughout the lands that would be seen only in fantasy stories which take up the least amount of land on the planet and where all 3 civilizations make their homes. Then there is the Wilderness, the Wilderness is home to all types of living creatures living in the wilderness, there are mystical creatures, creatures with intelligence, even creatures of life and death.
Humans have tried to take control and use these creatures in the wilderness to fight their war, whether by taming them or forcing them to bow to the humans. In the Tam civilization, a small squad of 15 Mechanics was able to find a home of small creatures, and luckily it seemed to be a newly made home as baby creatures were wailing to be fed by the parents.
"These small rodents would be great scouts if we can get them under our control" one of the Mechanics whose unique feature was a blue bucket hat said, "It should be easier especially since they are just newborns!"
"I'm not entirely sure if they had good agility maybe, but the fact that there are so many might mean that they have to mate a lot just to be able to survive as a species, which in hand could mean that they have bad potential and could just be seen as meals for stronger creatures." Another Mechanic, who was wearing a lightweight Mechasuit that looked like a panda said.
"Hmm... Take a few just in case we may be able to modify them to be able to scout or do some reconnaissance" declared what looked to be a young man, who wore pure white clothing, had short black hair that swayed to his left, extremely dark brown eyes, pale skin suggesting that they don't go out much, but had a body that if look at closely, you would be able to see the carefully sculpted muscles that he possessed.
"Yes sir!" both Mechanics said in a respectful tone.
The small baby rodents were then placed into small cages so that they can be transported back to a facility to be experimented on.
"Umm Sir, do you know what species of animal this is?" asked one of the Mechanics.
"Give me a second." the young man said. From a third-person perspective, it would seem as he was just tapping at the air, but in the young man's point of view you would see a Grey transparent interface in front of him, he was currently looking through a library of images of animals which included a small description of the animal.
A few minutes later, the young man cleared his throat, "It seems to be the Cavia Tschudii, or as most people know it as now, a Guinea Pig."
This is my first ever story, so if you have any suggestions on how I should make this story better or any complaints please let me know in the comments!
