Raikage completely ignored the Chimaera and attacked Enkai. He was confident that his defences were strong enough that the Chimaera wouldn't be able to hurt him, the bigger threat here was Enkai.

Raikage punched Enkai. Enkai deflected and hit Raikage in the leg. The Chimaera intercepted Raikage from behind. 

Raikage pounced on the Chimaera but before he could do too much damage, Enkai intercepted from behind. Raikage Jumped up, Enkai retreated backwards, and the Chimaera followed the Raikage in the air. 

The Chimaera bit the raikage. Raikage groaned in pain and released a lightning charge that paralysed the Chimaera. Enkai bit his lips and intercepted again. He pushed and threw the raikage ten metres away from midair; slamming the raikage onto the ground.

Enkai and Raikage stared at each other. Raikage attacked Enkai with a lower kick. Enkai blinked up and delivered a roundhouse kick. 

Raikage blocked the kick with one hand and punched with the other. Enkai tanked the attack and screamed with chakra enhancing his vocal chords causing Raikage's ear drums to bleed. 

"Ahhh!" Raikage shouted in pain. Enkai safely withdrew. 

The Chimaera was up now, it charged up its own lightning release and launched it at the Raikage. Raikage, who absorbed the impact, came to be immobilised for a few seconds.

But Enkai joined the fight again. He made a rasengan and slammed it onto the raikage's face. Raikage grabbed his hand and released a lightning discharge, electrocuting and paralysing Enkai. 

Then, he grabbed Enkai by the leg and pushed him to the side. The Chimaera clawed on the Raikage again. Absorbing a bit of his chakra each time it made contact with him. The raikage retreated to form some distance.

Enkai was now up. He blinked towards the raikage, a rasengan in each hand. The raikage attacked first with a punch. 

Enkai dodged and kicked his knees. Raikage stepped back and went for a hammer punch. Enkai blocked the punch and side-kicked Raikage's ankle. 

The raikage fell down. The Chimaera intercepted the battle; intending to devour both of them in one fell swoop. Except Enkai blinked away. The Raikage also got himself back up and out of the Chimaera's way.

Raikage then dashed towards Enkai again. Enkai, who was healing his forearm, also charged in towards the raikage and dropkicked him. 

Raikage grabbed Enkai's legs and slammed him on the ground. The next moment, Enkai enhanced his lungs and vocal cords with chakra again and screamed at Raikage once more.

Raikage wanted to slam Enkai a few more times, but couldn't take the sharp scream and threw Enkai towards a wall. Then the Chimaera attacked him.

'A stalemate.' Enkai thought to himself; as he remained stuck to the wall, healing the damage he just received from the raikage. 

A stalemate was a worst-case scenario; if this continued, he would keep stacking more damage than he could heal. Eventually, the Raikage will die of blood loss, and he will have to fight a Chimaera that is too strong for him to handle alone.

'This won't do.' He thought to himself as he shook his head; He tried rasengan, He tried forcing the raikage onto the ground; nothing was working. Looks like he needs to shift into his offensive mode now.

Back when Enkai was training under Hanzo when he first started making the 'blank techniques', the blank technique wasn't independent; it was just a set of complementary techniques that would work in conjunction with the sharingan. 

This was because techniques like blink need an incredible perception and reaction speed to go along with it. Otherwise, he would just slam into a wall and die. 

Though later on, he developed techniques like extrasensory perception and external reflexes, which allowed him to use these techniques even without using sharingan. 

But what if he used sharingan along with sensory-type blank techniques?

Bzzz-Sizzle-Squeeall!

The raikage was using his 'hell stab' and cutting pieces of the Chimaera. He didn't like the smell of the burnt flesh or the fact that the Chimaera was trying its best to resist. Although try as it might, it couldn't do anything to him. Raikage was about to fatally wound the chimaera when he felt something.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Pow! Thump! Stomp! Woosh! Bam! Bam! Bam!

In an instant, Enkai hit the raikage multiple times. Even though it didn't do much damage it successfully attracted his attention. 

Raikage turned around and looked at him with an agitated expression. The giant, tired, and healing chimaera fell behind him with a loud thud. 

"How are you even alive after that?" The raikage asked with genuine confusion, he was sure that the last attack was fatal. Enkai didn't say anything and just started walking towards him and then blinked.

Enkai attacked the raikage with a flying kick, but he dodged. Enkai launched a rasengan at him. Raikage blocked it with his hands and moved forward for a punch. Enkai stopped him mid-action, made a wind-style rasengan which resembled a circular saw blade and stabbed it towards the Raikage's chest. 

The raikage tanked the attack and flung Enkai up in the air. Enkai frowned and made a foothold mid-air and tried to dropkick the raikage. But the raikage evaded and hell stabbed Enkai by extending his arm. Enkai redirected the power of the strike and judo slammed him to the ground.

Enkai made a giant rasengan and pressed it on the lying raikage's face. The raikage rolled his body to the side, but it was too late. Enkai slammed his rasengan on the Raikage's face. 

Shriiiiiiing!

"Ahhhh!!!" The raikage roared in agony, as the ear-splitting sound resonated in the air when the swirling orb of chakra and the layer of thunder clashed. 

Nonetheless, he still aimed his hand towards Enkai's heart and thrust it forward. Enkai, who dodged it by a hair's breadth, still found himself injured from the impact causing him to swiftly retreat. Raikage also got the breathing room he desperately needed.

At this point, Enkai was faster than raikage in terms of speed. His sharingan, his external reflexes, his external senses and his blink were in perfect sync making him as fast as he was. 

'But it's still not enough to hurt him.' He thought to himself while deactivating his sharingan; momentarily using Kurama's chakra to heal the damage done by raikage and recover his chakra which had decreased quite a bit thanks to all the techniques he was using at the same time.

"Damn it..." Enkai cursed in frustration; no matter what he tried nothing seemed to be working. 

He is out of options. He tried everything he could and even though he could temporarily match raikage's speed he couldn't inflict damage. The only thing he can do now is use one of his blank techniques specialised for breaking defences. 

The sniper punch is an attack similar to the shotgun punch but instead of releasing his chakra in a widespread area he just shoots it in a single point. 

The problem is, it takes a relatively long time to make it and he needed to be near the target. 

He made this technique so that he could fight against the three tails whose defences are top-notch but are also known for being incredibly slow, so these problems never seemed like a problem to him back then. 

Oh, if only he knew he would be using it against the raikage, he would have done so, so many things. 

He shook his head, and he looked around to see what the others were doing; 

Raikage was just standing in one of the corners; in constant lookout between the Chimaera and him. By now his ears were bleeding profusely thanks to the last rasengan he tanked. 

Then he looked to see where the Chimaera was. At this point, the Chimaera was also up. It wasn't completely healed yet, but it was very enraged because of the thrashing it received from the raikage earlier.

Enkai looked at the Chimaera and shook his head; so far Enkai was controlling the battlefield in a way so that the raikage could finish neither of them off, because if even one of them was out of the picture then the balance of the battle would shift into the raikage's favour. 

But looks like the Chimaera will have to sacrifice itself by buying some time for him now, while he charged his sniper punch and surprise attacked the raikage.

This was a gamble that Enkai didn't want to take; if the Chimaera died and his sniper punch didn't work then he would die next. He can probably run and dodge with his offence mode but eventually when the cloud nins will enter; that will be the end of him.

All of a sudden, the three beings found themselves in a position similar to the beginning of the battle, except this time they were more bloodthirsty. 

The kage who was putting up his last-ditch effort; The Chimaera who was shivering in rage and bloodthirst; The phantom who was waiting to put an end to this fight.

Yet none of them attacked first; even the unintelligent Chimaera instinctively knew that the moment it charged in, it would be caught between the crossfire of the other two monsters.

Tap, Tap, Tap-swoosh-shrieeek-bzzap..!!!

But then footsteps resounded the room, Enkai was the first to attack; He walked towards the raikage and then blinked in front of him, causing the Chimaera to fly towards them. Instantly the still atmosphere morphed into a chaotic one.

Raikage prepared for a power punch as he leaned in to hit Enkai but instead of fighting, Enkai just jumped up and made a foothold there. 

The raikage wanted to jump up as well; the Chimaera that was approaching from the sky had other plans though. In an instant, the Chimaera crashed onto the raikage. 

The Raikage wanted to finish Enkai off but had to divert his focus towards the Chimaera. 

"Eiiaaahhh...Ahh!!" The raikage screamed and willowed in pain; his veins popped up as he grabbed the Chimaera's skin and lifted him on his shoulder. 

"Sheikh!!" The Chimaera screamed in pain as it flew up and discharged a huge bolt of lightning on the raikage. 

Even though the sheer quantity of the lightning the Chimaera was emitting was higher than that of raikage's, his armour was made of a much denser and finer chakra so he wasn't harmed by the chakra itself. 

But the impact he received from the attack still made his body numb.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the Chimaera grabbed the raikage with its hind legs and started thrashing him around like a ragdoll. 

The raikage, who tanked the attack for a bit realised that he was losing a lot of chakra and blood, so the moment he felt the numbness gone, he grabbed the Chimaera's hind leg and ripped it off; the Chimaera screamed and looked at the raikage, who was still recovering from the thrashing he received, and pounded on him. 

"You wanna die?! Come at me!" This time, instead of dodging and blocking he also chose to attack the Chimaera. "Shrieek!" As if responding to the raikage's taunt it screeched.

Then following the next few moments, the Raikage kept throwing flurries of attacks constantly injuring the Chimaera, meanwhile, the Chimaera kept absorbing his chakra each time they made contact which it used to regenerate himself from the wounds he received. 

But soon the injuries started piling up on the Chimaera; Raikage was so fast with his attacks that he hit the Chimaera three times before the Chimaera could absorb enough chakra to heal one time. 

Before even a full minute could pass, the Chimaera fell on the ground; too tired to even move. 

At this point Raikage had lost a considerable amount of chakra, this was made evident by how light his chakra cloak had gotten; inside he knew he wouldn't be able to finish this Chimaera off with the cloak he had now. There was also Enkai waiting for a moment to strike. 

Before even though he knew he couldn't get out of this alive there was still a sliver of hope inside of him that somehow a miracle would happen and he will get out of this. But now when he looked ahead the only thing he saw were two monsters laughing at him maniacally, mocking him for his weakness. 

Finally, he closed his eyes and gave up on that sliver of hope. In a fraction of a second, his chakra cloak which was slowly dimming started brightening up again; now no longer burning his chakra but his life force instead.

Then he opened his eyes. 

!!

Only to see Enkai standing in front of him with his right hand stretched out; pointed at his chest. 

Booom!!

A huge shockwave echoed through the hall. The next moment, the Raikage felt a sharp pain in his chest. He slowly looked down; too scared to see what happened. 

Raikage gasped when he looked at the gaping hole in his cloak. Fortunately, though his body was still unharmed; the pain was only from the impact.

"Oh, come on!" Enkai raised his hands in disappointment.

Raikage lets out a deep breath. Throughout the battle he had thought of many ways he could die here; bleeding, chakra exhaustion, and physical exhaustion to name a few. 

But NEVER in his wildest dreams did he think that his cloak's defences would be compromised. He looked at Enkai with fear in his eyes.

Raikage didn't let his fear take over though. He dashed towards Enkai; his right hand extended in a stabbing motion. Enkai who saw this moved his body to his right, grabbed Raikage's wrist with his left hand and judo-slammed him. 

Then he started preparing another sniper punch but felt a hand grab his leg. He looks down to see the lying raikage, smiling. The next moment, his vision shifts; he was thrown mid-air.

Enkai balanced himself midair by making a foothold and created a rasengan in his left hand; his right hand started making a new sniper punch. 

Raikage was up by now; he jumped and elbowed Enkai down to the ground. Enkai, who managed to slam his rasengan in raikage's face, noticed the raikage preparing for a hell stab aimed at his right arm. 

He was horrified at the prospect of losing his right arm so he forcibly blinked, nearly crashing and dying in the process. 

'He isn't letting me make another proper sniper punch.' Enkai thought to himself, as curses left from his mouth.

Then he blinked again; this time towards the raikage. When in front of him, he quickly took a boxing stance and delivered an uppercut to the raikage with his right hand. The moment he felt his hand under raikage's chin he released a premature sniper punch.

Boom!

The raikage was sent flying and fell on the ground ten meters away. This had one-third of the power the previous sniper punch had but he expected to knock out the raikage because it was still a strong attack and he directly landed it under his chin.

When he saw the raikage stay down, he relaxed his straightened back and gasped for air. He was about to deactivate his sharingan again because of how exhausted he was but then he saw the raikage moving. 

Enkai stumbled a bit because of how weakened he was, even though it hadn't been four minutes since he recovered his chakra and stamina through Kurama's chakra. 

Regardless, he stepped onto the air in front of him and then blinked towards the raikage. They exchanged a few more blows and Enkai realised that he was at a disadvantage, forcing him to retreat.

He looked towards the Chimaera to see if it was still alive or not. Luckily, it was, but it had weakened considerably to the point that it couldn't even move its body. Suddenly a plan popped into his mind. 

He knew that the Chimaera would try to eat whatever it could to heal itself. He planned to go near its mouth and fight the raikage there, and when the opportunity arose he would push the raikage inside its mouth. 

Almost immediately, without a second thought, he enacted his plan as he blinked near its mouth and waited for the raikage to attack him, but then disaster struck.

"Screee...." Enkai suddenly heard the screeching sounds from behind. He turned around to see a huge mouth that was about to devour him. 

Enkai's plan was perfect except he never thought that the Chimaera would still have the strength to move it's neck for one last time.

Slightly startled, he blinked backwards travelling thirty meters in an instant, he thought he was safe but he missed the raikage who was already behind him; ready to punch.

He knew it was too late to dodge, so he braced for the impact by creating a defensive technique and then it came.

Bam!

He will live – he thought as he was sent flying towards the direction he came from.

Wait-where he come from!? Enkai's eyes widened as he turned around only to be greeted by a giant mouth filled with sharp teeth. 

"Wait, No-" Gulp!

Before he could even say anything he was swallowed whole by the Chimaera. 

Even after seeing Enkai getting devoured by the Chimaera, the raikage still didn't let his guard down. 

When he saw there was no movement from the inside of its body, the corner of his lips started rising. 

Even though he will die here, even though he will die a futile death here; he will die happily knowing that he has killed a monster.

Then, all of a sudden an irrational fear started creeping inside his head. If the Chimaera absorbed Enkai's power and god forbids; his brain, then what kind of monster will it evolve into? 

"No, No, No, I can't let that happen!" The raikage ran towards it at full speed and pierced its brain with a hell stab. Then he started punching.
