6 Silica

Madara was walking through the forests of floor 35 when he heard a scream.

Why was he at such a low floor? Because he was hired to do a certain service. He was after an orange guild who slaughtered and robbed the guild of his client.

Madara diden't care about the money, he was here to save someone from canon.

Madara ran towards the scream, and found a girl with almost no [HP] left about to be slaughtered by 3 monsters.

Madara made quick work of the monsters and saved the girl.

"Are you ok?" Asked Madara.

The girl did not answer, and instead started crying wile holding a shiny blue feather.

"What is that feather?" Madara asked, already knowing the answer.

"It is from Pina, my friend..." The girl answered between sobs.

"So you are a beast tamer?" Madara asked. 'It seems I wasen't quick enought to save the little dragon.'

Madara knew who the girl was, she was Silica, the girl tamed a small healing dragon in canon, and the same thing seemed to have hapened here.(By now, Madara was quite convinced that the theory of fate pushing certain events into happening was indeed true.)

Silica ran into an argument with her party members and ended up in this forest alone and with no healing itens, as a result, Her dragon, Pina, died, and Silica herself almost met the same fate.

"I'm sorry I wasen't able to save your friend." Madara apologised.

"No. It is my fault. For thinking I could make it through the forest on my own... For beeing so arrogant! ...Thank you so much for saving me."

"Does that feather happen to have an item name?" Madara sat next to the sobing girl.

Silica checked and taped her finger on the feather, revealing a text box and proving that it was in fact an item.

"[Pina's heart]." Silica read and went back to crying.

"Don't cry. If you have the heart, you can still revive her." Madara said.

"Realy?" Silica asked hopeful.

Madara nodded. "On floor 47 there is a field called [hill of memories], at the top, blooms a flower that is the item for reviving familiars."

Silica opened a smile, but it faded just as quickly. "Floor 47..."

Silica had almost died on floor 35, going to floor 47 would be suicide!

"Normaly, I'd be glad to go there and get the item for you." Madara continued. "But sadly, the familiar's master need to be present for the flower to appear."

"I'm very grateful to just have that information alone!" Silica said. "If I work hard to raise my level, then someday-"

"The heart spoils after 3 days." Madara interrupted by dropping a bomb.

Silica gasped in dispair. "No way..." Silica went back to crying, but stoped when she noticed Madara operating his menu.

"Don't worry, we have 3 days." Madara said and Silica saw a [trade screen] full of gear apear. "This gear should be good to boost you five or six levels, and if I escort you, there should be no problems."

"Why are you doing all of this for me?" Silica asked.

"I feel bad about your familiar, if only I would have been faster..."

"Don't say that. You are helping me so much already." Silica then entered her own [trade menu] and put all her money in it. "I'm sure this is not enought to cover it, but-"

"No, it is ok." Madara declined the money. "I have my own reasons to go to floor 47."

"I-I'm Silica." Silica introduced herself.

"I'm Mad-Eye Nin-Nin, nice to meet you."

Madara and Silica went back to the town on floor 35.

"where is your home Nin-Nin-san?" Silica asked.

"Don't have one. I even considered getting one on floor 50, but staying in inns is much cheaper." Madara said. "I'll just stay the night at an inn here."

"Realy? the cheesecake is realy good here." Silica said with a smile.

"Well, if it isen't Silica." Someone intruded the talk. and hearing the voice, Silica's mood turned sour. "So you managed to get out of the forest. How nice." Madara then turned to see a red haired woman with a sick smile on her puncheable face. "Huh? What happened to that lizard? Could it be that-"

"Pina died." Silica interrupted. "But I'm bringing her back!"

"Eh? Is that so? That means you are off to the [hill of memories]. But at your level, will you be able to clear it?"

"She will." Madara entered the conversation. "I'll make sure of it."

"So you are another one who have been seduced by this girl?" The red haired woman mocked.

'Not only a puncheable face, but a puncheable personality as well? Wow, just wow.' Madara thought.

"You don't look particularly strong to me." The red haired girl continued to mock.

"And you both look and sound like a thot." Madara bit back. "Let's go Silica, the company here stinks."

"Why would she say such mean things?" Silica asked.

They are at the inn right now waiting for their dinner.

"Is [SAO] your first MMORPG?" Madara asked and Silica noded. "Some players prefer to play as the bad guys, normaly that is fine, a bit annoying for the other players, but fine, however, [SAO] is diferent in that regard as death has real life consequences." Madara then explained how even on [SAO] there have been cases of murders and other crimes. Silica paled at that.

Players had [cursors] floating above their heads, it was normaly green, but if you comited a crime, it would turn orange, comit enought, and your [cursor] would turn red. The [cursors] go back to green after a wile, depending on the severity of the crime, but if a player comit a crime again, the timer resets, the so called orange/red players/guilds were those who continuasly comited crimes, so their cursors were always on the orange/red state. It was one of those orange guilds who were Madara's target right now.

After dinner, Silica wanted to go to sleep, but Madara convinced her to listen to a little lecture about the 47th floor. Madara started his lecture in Silica's room when suddently he bolted to the door, sword in hand. When he opened the door, he was met with the sound of runing steps fading.

'seems like I did not caught the eavesdroper. Darn it.' Madara thought.

"What hapened?!" Silica asked Madara.

"Someone just tried to eavesdrop on us."

"Why would someone want to eavesdrop on us?" Silica asked scared. Madara did not answer.

'I can't tell her that the orange guild that I'm hunting got its sights on Silica. Not yet anyway. Sorry for using you as bait Silica-chan.'

The next day, Silica was already in her new gear and had a rough idea of the 47th floor's layout. She and Madara then teleported to the 47th floor.

Apearing in a flash of blue light, Silica's eyes widen looking at the floor. "It looks like a dreamland!"

The 47th floor was also known as the [flower garden] because it was entirely covered in a variety of flowers. It was indeed a very beautiful place.

Silica's head darted all arround, wanting to absorb all the beauty arround her, she ran to the nearest flower field and smelled the flowers. She then froze for a second.

"Silica." Madara called.

"Yes! Sorry to keep you waiting." She stifly replied.

'She must have thought this looks like a date.' "Let's go."

"Right."

The way to the flower went without complications, Madara had given Silica a teleportation cristal just in case things got ugly, but it was uneeded

The flower bloomed at an altar, Madara gave the go ahead and Silica aproched it.

The animation of the flower blooming was quite beautifull to see, Silica had a smile on her face through the entire process.

Once the flower finished blooming, Silica picked it up.

"This will bring Pina back to life, right?" She asked and Madara nodded. "I'm so glad." She sighted in relief.

"But it is better to resurect her at a town, too many strong monsters arround here."

"Ok."

On the way back to town, Madara sudently stoped and held Silica back as well.

"Show yourselfs." He said looking at a group of trees

The red haired thot then apeared from behind one of the trees.

"Your detection skill must be quite high, boy. It apears that your atempts at getting the reviving flower were sucessful. Now hand it over." She said.

"W-what are you talking about?" Silica asked shoked. Sure, the woman had a nasty personality, but she woulden't be a robber, right?

"That is not going to happen, Thot-san. Or should I say leader of the orange guild [Titan's Hand]." Madara stated.

"Nin-Nin-san, what are you talking about? Her cursor is green."Silica asked in disbelieve.

"It is a simple trick, the green members lure the target to the orange/red ones that do the dirty work. It was your comrade that tried to eavesdrop on us last night, correct?"

"Then the reason we were in the same party for the last 2 weeks..." Silica came to a grimm realization.

"That's right." Thot-san confirmed. "I was assessing if you were good targets. You were actualy the pray that I was looking foward to the most, it was unfortunate that you left, but then you said you were off to get a rare item. *giggles* Still boy, you knew all of that and went with her anyway? Are you stupid or did this girl realy seduced you?"

"Neither, my actual target was actualy you all along." Madara said. There was no problem in spilling the beans now that he had his target where he wanted. "Ten days ago you atacked a guild called [Silver Flags], only the leader survived. The survival went to the [warp point] plaza on the frontlines, begging day and night for someone to avenge his guild, he did not wanted you lot killed, just sent to prison for your crimes. Do you have any idea how he felt?"

"Not at all." Thot-san said. "What kind of idiot would take this serious? There is no proof that killing someone here means they die in real life."

Madara deadpaned "Are you retarded? There is plenty! The most glaring one is the fact that we are stuck here for so long already! Do you think that if it was safe to remove the nerve gear, people on the other side woulden't have done so already?! Plus, even if you were right and there was no proof that people die for real in here, we have no proof saying they are fine, so at the very least you'd be facing charges on the court of law for assuming the risk to kill, just like a drunken driver."

Thot-san simply ignored Madara.

"Anyway, since you don't plan on giving up the flower..." Thot-san then snaped her fingers and players started coming out from behind the other trees, their cursors were orange.

This was the rest of Thot-san's guild.

Silica steped back. "Nin-Nin-san, there is too many of them! We need to run!"

Madara headpated Silica in a reasuring manner. "Don't worry, just use the teleport cristal I gave you, I'll be with you shotly."

Silica nodded and used the cristal.

"Now that we are alone..."

The orange players atacked, and Madara did not sit idle.

The leader of [Silver flags] wanted these criminals arrested, but this was just him, and again, Madara never cared about the money from doing this mission.

'Why waste resourses such as food and water on people who deserve to be in hell.' That was Madara's thought process. On top of needing to kill people to be able to use one of his mangekyo sharingan abilities that is.

The ability on his left eye let Madara revive the dead, but the price was steep: a life for a life, that on top of the chakra cost.

It was a slaughter. Pixels flew everywhere from the death animations of the orange guild. Madara was level 119, this was like swating flies to him.

Seeing the slaughter, Thot-san panicked. "I'm green, if you atack me you'll go orange-"

Madara interrupted by cutting off both her arms and legs, turning his cursor orange.

"Just so you know, I play solo, going a few days with an orange/red cursor means nothing to me."

Thot-san had a fearful expression on her face.

"I guess you'll get that proof you wanted now, Thot-san." Madara said and proceeded to kill her, turning his cursor red.

"Hey Silica, Thot-san and her guild are in jail now, the reason I am messaging you right now because I sortof punched Thot-san in the face and I now have an orange cursor and have to wait untill it goes back to normal so I can go into a town again." Madara messaged Silica a lie, he diden't want for her to know he killed people.

"Why did you do that?!" Came Silica's reply.

"In my defence, she was a VERY punchable pearson." Madara waited a few seconds before sending the next message. "Sorry Silica, I ended up using you as bait."

"You are a good person, Nin-Nin-san. There is no need for you to apologise. And besides, you were always by my side so I wasen't realy in any danger. I'm quite amazed that you managed to defeat the entire guild tho! Do you fight on the frontlines by any chance?"

"Yes I do. Speaking of witch, I need to go back there, I've been absent for five days already. Let's meet again someday, and lets meet in the real world too one day, ok?"

"Right. We will, for sure."

"Until we meet again then. Oh, also remember to revive Pina now that you are at a town."

"Doing it now. I look foward to our next meeting. Goodbye."

Madara then closed the [message box] and went back to grinding.
