A young woman stretched out her arms high above her head as she blinked sleep from her eyes. "It's been ages since I have slept in," she thought with a smile. All the housemaids had received half a day off-duty notice the night before. She did not care who had given the notice even though it was weird because in all her time in the Samuels household, there had never been anything like that.
She loved her employers though because they were kind to them and gave them adequate wages that was even above that of their friends who worked in different households. They had been told to leave the house as well, but she had nowhere to go so she decided to sleep in quietly so that no one would notice her.
