beautiful angel

When Claudia got home she had a lot to say about her adventure that day, especially about the beautiful damsel she had met.

"For the first time in my life, I lot my cool in public. That wench really had a foul mouth" She fumed. Everytime she remembers the woman from the gallery she couldn't help but feel angry again. No one's had even gotten on her nerve the way that woman did.

"Sister" Evelyn, the Montero Family second daughter-in-law called to notify Claudia of her use of curse words.

Since Grandpa Hugo was there at the sitting room, Claudia immediately corrected herself "my mistake, I meant to say she was really an annoying fellow. One that acted like she had no brains"

"She clearly didn't like the painting and had bad-mouthed it but still insisted on going up against me. Aish I should never have left my phone behind, then I would have crushed that woman with just a phone call."

"Sister must really have not found that woman to her liking" Evelyn commented with a slight smile. They weren't really sisters but just sister-in-laws. Claudia was married to the first son of Grandpa Hugo while Evelyn was married to the Second son who was also the last born of all grandpa Hugo's children. Claudia was not only higher than her in rank but also in age so she had opted to calling her sister, beside they were really close.

"You should have been there Evie. The woman would say anything that comes to her head. She acted really arrogant and out of line. She had even snatched my bag from me and intended to pour it out on the floor. Thank goodness a beautiful angel came on time to help me"

She kept on praising and talking about Gisele. She narrated the girl actions enthusiastically to her Sister-in-law not forgetting to add a few chiding words for Lina's actions. She had really come to like the beautiful girl's personality. No body is a saint. The girl might have her own flaws but still she would forever be grateful to her for saving her from disgrace today.

"She was really beautiful. It's hard to describe her beauty with words, I feel like I wouldn't do it much justice" She said and added "she had quite a beautiful name too. Gisele. It really fits her personality. Without her I would have been swallowed up in the sea of disgrace today"

Grandpa Hugo who had been minding the news paper in his hands was intrigued when he heard that name.

Was it the same Gisele he knows?

He dropped the news paper and asked the woman "what did you say is her name?"

Claudia was taken aback that her father-in-law was asking about the girl's name "She said it was Gisele"

A slight smile appeared on the corner of his lips but he immediately hid it "She must have been a beauty"

Claudia nodded "Yes Father, she was really a beautiful girl. Such beauty is almost impossible to see around"

The Old man nodded and picked up his papers. He buried his face in its pages and pretended like he was no more paying attention to their conversation.

Devon has been married for three days now but apart from him, there was no one who knew what Devon's newly wedded wife looked like. They didn't even know her name. This was why the woman had not recognized her own daughter-in-law. It was also surprising that the Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law had met for the first time in such a circumstance. Fate must have brought them together, even if it wasn't fate he was glad they had met and that too on the right foot. The girl really didn't disappoint, he was right after all she did have a good personality and a king heart to have helped a stranger. It's impossible to no like such a person, the woman must have taken a liking to the girl too. Her words were a proof of it.

"Such good girls are hard to come by these days, you should thank her well when next you meet" He 'harmlessly' commented still paying attention to his newspaper.

Indeed his intentions for saying this was harmless, he was just trying to push the two woman even closer together than they already were. If the Mother-in-law developed a strong attachment to the daughter-in-law, it would further solidify her position as her daughter-in-law. He wanted to make sure nothing would stop Gisele from being his granddaughter-in-law till the end. To do this he needed someone else to be on her side. That brat's mother was just the right soldier to recruit.

"You think so too Father?" Claudia asked enthusiastically. After departing from the girl, she had had a fleeting thought of inviting the girl to one of the tea parties she usually held for her friends but she also dismissed the thought thinking it was inappropriate and that the girl might think she was being desperate. Now that she heard the Old man say it, it looked like a great idea.

"I'll do just that. Thankfully I was able to get her contact number or that girl would just have left with even giving me hers"

With a smile, the old man continued reading his papers happy of his achievements.

Over at Devon's mansion.

Gisele didn't wander around anymore after leaving the woman, she had seen too much drama for one day already so she just made her way back home.

She had not gotten the chance to check out the art pieces in the gallery because she got involved in that scuffle but she didn't regret it. The reason she wanted to see the arts in the gallery was accomplished anyway so her effort was not in vain.

An inspiration of a new Sketch had come to her mind at the last moment. When Gisele watched Claudia drive away with her envoy her mind was flooded with inspiration for dresses that had a hints of diverse international retro style. The inspiration came from seeing the middle aged woman don that beautiful flowery Qipao. She looked exotic and a traditional Chinese air surrounded her even when she did not belong to the clan that normally wore it.

So immediately she got home. She ate her lunch and went up into her room. A table and a chair. Her sketch book opened up on the table and the drawing materials scattered around it. One line after the other, she tried putting down the design that had come to her head but it wasn't turning out fine like she wanted.

Very soon there was scrapping of pencils littered everywhere as well of eraser litters. After sketching and cleaning numerous times she finally managed to put down one of the designs on the sketchbook. She had corrected and corrected it till there was nothing to correct anymore.

The dress was perfect. One of a kind truly.

It had part the look of a dinner gown and a Chinese Qipao, like the one Claudia had worn. The way Gisele blended the modern slit dinner style with the retro Qipao style was inconceivable yet it turned out to be excellent. It was surely one that would turn people heads if it was produced.

She looked at the design and felt contented. She had not lost her touch after all. The dress turned out exactly the way she loved it. It even made her feel a little reluctant. If she was to sign up as a designer, would she also submit such a beauty style?

It was inevitable. The more beautiful the style was, the more fame and money she would get in return. Buying a house and getting her Grandfather to the city looked easier than it seemed before.

The Sketch was done so she insigned on the edge of the page. Her uncle had taught her to sign on her sketch, just in case it got stolen. Now that she thinks of it. If her previous designs from when she was little was actually stolen by that company then the original sketchbook would still have her insignia on it. The dress to should have her insignia.

Everytime she designed an outfit, she would find a way to interwoven her insignia into the design of the dress. Apart from her no one would actually be able to tell. She could directly Sue that company but first she needed to know if the designs were stolen or bought. It would be a totally different case if her uncle had sold it willingly.

That was all for the future. building her status was what came first. Now that she had gotten that out of her mind, she started to feel sleepy. She remembered the novel the Old man Williams had given to her. The man had been very earnest with his request, it would be heartless of her to refuse him without even giving it a thought.

So she took out the novel from her bag and decided to look through it before she fell asleep.

She had barely just finished the first five pages when she drifted off to sleep.
