“I had a great time tonight. Don’t worry about me, Sam. It’s all good. He’ll call. He probably just got held up with his brother, then realized how late it was.”
The cab pulled up to Trevor’s place and he hugged Sam tight. “Really, don’t worry about me, it’s allgood.”
Sam smiled and hugged him back saying, “Call me tomorrow.”
Trevor always had an instinct when something was up, and he felt it now. Maybe it was too much for Jordan. Being on stage, having him here as a friend and, if he thought about it, he hoped for more, but apparently not Jordan, and that was okay. Trevor knew going in Jordan wasn’t going to stay long. He wasmeant for the road as Jordan said to him once, he was meant to be on stage and that life was not for Trevor. Not that Jordan was asking, but Trevor was a realist. Jordan has his own dreams and having a relationship wasn’t in those dreams, at least he didn’t think so. Or at least not right now.
