Here I am

After my father gave his wonderful speech and thanking the guests for showing up at the event, the fun part started and the celebration began.

There where dances and singing, merriments to celebrate the twilight event, a lot of ladies took the opportunity to dance with Rin cause everyone were starting to exchange partners, staring at him seductively while he seemed less bothered and only danced to the music.

It got to the both of us and I slapped his hands off, there's noway I'm going to dance with someone like him.

"I'm not going to dance with you, hmph!" I said haughtily wanting to walk out on him but he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him, forcefully placing both my hands on his chest and his on my waist, what ordersity!.

I glared at him and would have probably yelled at him too but I wasn't interested in causing a scene at the moment.

He made me dance with him and I was forced to comply, I noticed the way he held and danced with me was different from the way he did with other girls.

He was rough and wasn't gentle with me, twirling me around, too fast to the point I became dizzy, he smirked and held my hand creating a distance between us, then pulled me close making me twirl into his embrace.

I froze in his arms at the touch of our bodies like I was being electrified by some unknown current.

I wondered if he felt it too but he carried on with his sherade, grabbing my waist and pulling me close to him.

I tried to free myself from him but he kept twirling me around to the point I fell to the floor with a thud!

All eyes were on me and I wasn't expecting my fall to gain so much attention, I glared daggers at him and could see the satisfaction in his eyes.

After noticing the amount of gaze on us, he faked innocence immediately. "Keeley, are you alright?" he offered me his hand and if everyone wasn't looking right now, I would have spat on his hand but I did the opposite.

I held his hand and got up to my feet, forcing a smile.

"Yes, I'm fine."

The smile on my face and the look in my eyes held two different meaning which I was sure he understood, he tried pulling me to another dance and there's noway I'm falling for it again.

My father chuckled as he watched us. "Kids of this days are so hard to understand, Keeley enjoys dancing but she finds It hard dancing with Rin."

I immediately protested shaking my head although it was nothing but the complete truth.

"You've misunderstood father, it's just my feet hurts so I plan to ease it a bit by taking a walk close by if you don't mind."

Since my father was in such a good mood, I bet he wouldn't mind if I stepped out just for a few minute.

He thought about it and I was sure he wanted to refuse it not untill my mother intervened, placing a hand on his shoulder lovingly.

"She's not a little girl any longer, let her go."

I flashed her a smile secretly gesturing a thank you towards her direction.

My father let out a sigh. "Alright fine but just outside the palace and nowhere else okay?, take some guards with you too."

I grinned and nodded, my mother sure knows how to work her charms on my father, I wonder if I'll be able to do the same with the person I end up marrying someday.

Jina flashed me a victory smile and I wasted no time leaving the palace with guards trailing behind me.

I felt I've just been broken out of my home prison as I stepped out through the big gate, the cool breeze hit my skin like it was welcoming me to the outside world.

I came in front of a beautiful forest and it'd take quite some time to come across the land of syvilnia if you go by foot.

"Where would you like to take a walk my princess?" a guard asked and I smiled. "Somewhere enchanting." the words escaped my lips and I really wanted to see the beauty of the forest.

The guards took me a little deep into the woods, although it was dark, the forest was astir with life, little animals scurrying under branches of twigs, fireflies lighting up the whole place forming a warm scenery. syvilnia really is beautiful.

They brought me to a lake and my eyes goggled at the sight.

"My princess, this is one of the deep blue lakes in Syvilnia." one of the guards pointed out, I took a step forward gazing at it's snow capped mountains, glaciers, islet, pasture, it was long and twisted making it difficult to see the end.

My legs weren't really hurting, it was just an excuse so I don't have to dance with Rin any longer.

I sat on the soft grass gazing at it's magnificent view, the lake displayed assorted colours of blue which looked breathtaking under the moonlight.

The breeze swaying in it's gentle caress and this place turned out to be magical afterall.

The howling of wolves suddenly caught my attention startling me and the guards, clearly we weren't expecting that at all.

I gazed at the full moon and the howling was heard again, was it him?!

The guards observed the place totally alarmed. "My princess, I think it's best if we return back to the kingdom, it's not safe here."

I nodded and stood up to my feet but for some reason, I was drawn to the sound where the howling came from, like it was calling out to me.

I gave myself a mental shake, what am I even saying right now, a wolf certainly can't call out to a human, I wasn't going to let myself fall into that same trap again.

"Let's go." I said and we turned to leave, The further I moved away from it, the more I'm drawn to the place, like a voice in my head telling me not to go further, telling me to turn around.

I couldn't fight the impulse and turned around immediately, but there was nothing there, I could here the pounding of a drum somewhere, I placed my hands to my chest and realized it wasn't a drum but my heart.

Why was my heart drumming so fast, it's not safe to stay out longer than this.

I turned back and continued moving when all of a sudden, a wolf stepped out of the shadows, my eyes widened in horror and I didn't miss the golden eyes at all, the bright beautiful golden eyes.

It was a really really big wolf and it paced around locking eyes with me.

"A wolf!, princess get back." the guards surrounded me like a shield but the wolf still locked eyes with me, not making it's move yet but the look in it's eyes meant there would be trouble for me but surprisingly, I didn't look away.

The wolf was different from any other wolf I've ever seen, it had a pale coral colour, which was enough to signify just how different it is with a flame colour at the end of it's fluffy tail, it was actually really beautiful.

It growled at the guards who got their swords ready.

"Shoo!, stay back!" the guards tried to frighten it with their swords but it howled instead, echoing through the forest we could hear the sound of birds flapping it's wings to get away.

Suddenly we heard the snap of a twig and i realized immediately what it just did, but it was too late.

"Oh oh, it called for backup let's go!" I said and the Alpha wolf charged at one of the guards pouncing on him and clawing it's hand to it's chest he began to bleed.

I stumbled back at the sight watching the guard scream in agony.

"Attack!!" a guard said and hundreds of wolfs jumped out of the shadows going after the guards and a sudden war started between wolfs and humans.

The killing and splattering of bloods left me overwhelmed I forgot to breathe, I remained still like a wood, unable to move or even blink as everything happened in front of me.

"Princess, get to the kingdom now!" a guard screamed at me and I got myself back, all the wolves had eyes on me waiting to see my next action.

My heart drummed heavily against my chest and I felt adrenaline rush through me, I did the one thing I had in mind.

I dashed through the dark woods and just like in my dreams, the golden eyed wolf followed me, chasing me through the dark woods.

I raised my gown up and ran as fast as I could, looking back just to know if the wolf was gaining on me or not.

I hurried and hid behind a tree to catch my breath mostly, my knees felt weak but I just had to get back to the palace.

I turned to check if the wolf was closing in on me but there was no sight of it, I checked properly to make sure but there wasn't any sign of the alpha wolf.

I rested my back on the tree to catch my breath, feeling glad I lost it but I got excited too soon when a hand came from behind me covering my nose with a handkerchief forcing me to inhale it's content.

I struggled to free myself from his hold, but whoever it was had a lot more strength than I assumed.

"You keep running every single time don't you?"

The voice was oddly familiar and I couldn't focus on the voice as my eyelids began to grow heavy, yet I struggled with all my might.

"I told you I'd come for you, well here I am."

My eyes widened after that, he'd come for me?, th...that means he's the wolf from my dreams, he actually exist?!

"Sleep tight princess."

The minute he said that, I realized I wasn't struggling to free myself any longer, my body had gone limp and I passed out in his arms.
