Sneaking out of the Palace 1

Qi Lin Xi yawned tiredly as she jumped into the roof of the Palace with her black robe flowing with the air.

She was holding a black sheathed sword which slid on the floor as she jumped from building to building.

Her eyes met with the full moon and she smirked under the black gauze covering her face.

She felt pretty alive outside but hated that she couldn't enjoy the beautiful scenery that was before her

Qi Lin Xi was very agile for her mental age as she jumped from a tall building and landed on her feet effortlessly.

When she found out about the book twenty years ago, Qi Xi had enjoyed every bit of how tactful Qi Lin Xi was in the book so much that she learnt everything about her: Her fighting stance, her matured way of thinking, her stealing habit and her cold side.

She was so obsessed with the book that she had endorsed it with her own money.

Qi Xi marched into the small hut next to a river and adjusted the gauze. Her sleeves were full of gold.

"Open the door" Qi Xi knocked on the hard side of the hut only for a black dagger to be thrown at her.

Exercising her life's skills and Qi Lin Xi's own, she dodged the dagger by using two fingers to block the blade.

"Good!"

"Qi Lin Yu, you've improved" She clapped as three men walked out of the hut.

One, small and handsome. The second, tall and pretty. The last was just...just...eye catching? Okay, maybe, average in ugliness?

Qi Lin Xi's eyes were glued on him before she squeezed a laughter and walked inside with them.

"Ha! Xixi?"

"Is that really you?"

"My child" Dede said with emotions laced in his voice .

"She's not your child, dwarf" Qu Xia mocked before he wrapped his hand on her neck and pulled her inside.

"I knew that you wouldn't die" He winked happily and it made Qi Xi's heart tremble when she saw the worry in his eyes.

"Yes, I can't die. I was raised by the great Qu Xia" She said solemnly.

"Are you alright, my dear?" Dede asked as he raised a cup of warm jasmine tea to her.

He was really short as he had to stretch his legs to reach her hands and it made Qi Xi laugh inside.

"You mean that it was Emperor Feng who saved you?" Dede asked as he watched Qi Lin Yu latch himself around his sister.

"She just said that, idiot" Qu Xia mocked again which made Dede narrow his eyes dangerously at him. He gulped in fear and kept quiet.

"Hmm..." Qi Xi hummed softly as she noticed that her stab wound was opening up.

But she didn't say anything about it. It was best that they didn't know otherwise, based on Dede's previous reaction, they would all be dead by now

"I would like you all to travel to the Demon realm" She said.

"What?" Qu Xia

"What?" Dede

"?" Qi Lin Yu

"This place is going to become dangerous when Riot finds out about me"

"You all need to go somewhere safe before I join you"

"We don't want to" Qi Lin Yu pouted as he tightened his grip on her.

"I don't want to!" He said boldly.

"I'm going to stay with Older Sister!"

It wasn't like he was usually this childish but after he lost his sister twice to the same issue, he felt like he needed to stay close with her.

Close enough to protect her all the time.

His eyes became misty as he peered at her as if saying 'Older Sister, I will protect you from now on'.
