-[chapter 5]-

Leaving aside the flight which was long and boring to the United States, my mother and I headed to Max Tennyson's house. Yes, my mother came to bring me since she was coming to the United States for a fashion show.

We arrived at a camper area and I could see my mother's face saying: "Is it really here?" – It was funny to see.

We arrived at a camper that looked quite old and now my mother seemed to not want to leave me and instead take me with her to the boring fashion show. Which she knows I don't want because after agreeing to go to one, I had rejected her several times after that, they really bore me.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Hello, I'm Sora, José's daughter, is Mr. Max here??" – My mother said after knocking on the door.

"I'm coming!!" – An old man screamed from inside and then footsteps were heard.

"Hello, long time no see sora, how are you? And as your husband and father?" – Max said after opening the door.

"I'm fine, Max, and Dan, too, although dad, you know how he is, he's stubborn and he doesn't want to accept help." – My mother said as she gave a sigh and yes, that is the reason why we don't have someone to take care of us at home, my grandfather doesn't like being supported, he says it makes him feel old.

"Hahaha, that's what he is like. So you must be Haruka? Your grandfather is always talking about you, it's a pleasure, my name is Max Tennyson." – He said after laughing, he turned to see me and introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Tennyson, as you already know, my name is Haruka Kagemusha, it is a pleasure to meet you." – I obviously introduced myself speaking in English, I learned the language after transmigrating, so yes, I now speak three languages, Spanish, Japanese and English.

"Well… I would like to stay longer, but I have to go, I still have a lot of work to prepare for the parade." – My mother suddenly said as she approached me and hugged me and gave me a kiss and then said goodbye with a bye for both of us.

"…" – I just watched her leave without saying much.

"Hahaha, she's still the same as always. Well, come on, tomorrow is the day we will go get my grandchildren to start the trip." – He said after laughing, not seeming surprised by her actions.

[The following day]

After a day getting to know each other Max and I, today is the day the trip begins, we are on our way to pick up his grandchildren, Gwen and Ben.

"Well, we're here, Gwen should come soon" – Max said as he leaned back from the seat after parking the camper, I simply nodded and started to look at the urban landscape.

It didn't take long for the door of the camper to open and a girl with short orange hair and green eyes. I must say that she doesn't seem to want to be here.

"Grandpa, how could you? …" – She said as soon as she entered, but she froze as soon as she saw me, I think she was surprised that Max wasn't alone.

"Gwen, hello, how are you?" – Max said without caring about Gwen's annoyance.

"Hello, Grandpa…" – She said still looking at me as she seems to be regaining her wits.

"Gwen, meet Haruka, he is the grandson of an old friend and he will be accompanying us at this camp." – Max introduced me with a smile, seeming happy that his summer outing had begun.

"Hello, nice to meet you" – I said with a smile without caring about his reaction, even though he used a lens to block my ability, I am still a pretty boy, soon to be a handsome boy. Girls just can't resist my charm.

"Hello, nice to meet you, my name is Gwendolyne Tennyson, you can call me Gwen, my pleasure." - She introduced herself after recovering and I simply nodded while maintaining my friendly smile.

"Well, we better go look for Ben, he must be leaving school already, why don't you get to know each other better?" – Max said as he went to the driver's seat and I sat on one of the sofas next to the door, Gwen sat in front of me.

"So… is your hair natural or dyed?" – She asked, seeming to want to start a conversation.

"It's natural." – I answered him while I let out a small laugh at the question. Although I don't blame her, unlike in Japan where people have different colored hair, people in the rest of the world have the most common hair colors and since we are still in a time where technology is still low, it is not very acquaintance.

[Time after]

After a while that seemed like forever we arrived at where Ben studies, fortunately Gwen started to look at her computer and I looked at my phone. so time passed a little faster after a few words, I hope that on the trip we get along better because if not this will be a long trip.

"LET'S GO BEN, GET DOWN OUT OF THERE! THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE, I WANT TO GET TO THE CAMP BEFORE IT FOLLOWS NIGHT!" – I heard Max shout after stopping the camper and from the window I could see Ben with another child in some branches of a tree by what appears to be a Chinese Carson. I could see Gwen laughing a little at Ben.

Max had to go down to help, Max helped Ben and the other child and it didn't take long for them to return.

"I've been waiting for this moment…???" – Ben said as soon as he entered, but he didn't finish because he realized that there were more people in the camper besides his grandfather.

"Oh? Hey, what are you doing here? What is she doing here?...And who is he?" – Ben asked several times in an annoyed and confused manner while he pointed at Gwen and then pointed at me, looking even more confused.

"Hey, calm down friend, this wasn't my idea, someone convinced my mom that going to that camp on vacation would be a good idea." - Gwen responded to Ben, also seeming upset to come to this camp.

'Seriously, what's wrong with coming? As far as I remember, even in my old life it didn't bother me when my family decided to go on a vacation trip without asking me." – I thought, rather I was happy to go on a trip, although mostly family vacations were trips to the beach, this would be my first time going camping in the forest.

"Grandpa, please tell me you didn't do it…" – Ben asked, seeming not to want to accept reality.

"I thought it would be fun if your cousin came. Is there anything wrong?" any problem??" – Max responded at first, seeming happy and then asked with a voice and look that said: Come on, I dare you to answer me.

Of course, neither of them were stupid enough to say anything.

"And well, he is the grandson of an old friend of mine from my time when he worked as a plumber." – Max said while he left me to introduce myself. And yes, I was also surprised when he said that my grandfather worked as a plumber, as I know what that means here in Ben 10, I can't imagine my grandfather, Mr. Dolores, being a plumber. Although that would also give him an explanation as to why he always has body pain.

"Hello, nice to meet you, my name is Haruka Kagemusha. Since we will travel together from now on you can call me Haru, everyone can." – I introduced myself, and then told them that they could call me that. I was waiting for everyone to get together to say it, I didn't want to repeat it so much.

I like being called that way more than being called Haruka, I even prefer being called Kagemusha instead of my name, I don't know why, but I don't like the sound of it.

"Hi, I'm Ben" – He said as he nodded and I don't think he'll say much more after the little scolding he received. I simply nodded at him.

"Well, we better get going if we want to get to the camp before nightfall" – He said as he headed to the front of the camper and I went with him to sit in the passenger seat.

I don't want to face their complaints, at least in the passenger seat I can see the landscape better.

*Ben complains because he thinks his vacation was ruined* *Gwen complains about her ruined itinerary*

Even Max thinks this will be a long trip.

'Well... it certainly will be' – I thought as I looked down the road with a smile and imagined all the fights and adventures that are to come.
