"Do you remember Shimizu? Your classmate?" Jasmine asked him, showing a serious expression to heighten how much he needed to pay attention.
"Shimizu? Yeah, we were friends. Why, what happened?" She peaked his interest by mentioning him.
Shimizu was Kazemi's best friend. He was someone who got bullied together with Kazemi, Aric I mean, and so, they became friends by that.
He'd always come to Aric's house to play games and work on his manga together. 'He was cool and funny. A shame we split up after we came to this God forsaken world..'
"Well you see, he, along with the rest of your classmates, came along with me to progress the agriculture around here. One day however, he disappeared. That was around a month ago. At first, I thought he got kidnapped but remembered that he was sort of strong..."
She put her head down slightly. "His speciality is dark magic and his aptitude for other elements were great. And also, this isn't the first time he's vanished. He's disappeared on several occasions.." Kazemi nodded at the information before him.
"And so, what..do you want me to do, sis? Find him or something?" He said as he fed Tory some jello. "Yes. That's exactly what I want. I know that we just met back up, but I'm worried about him, Kazemi. Can you please...consider helping us?"
She put her head down and onto the table. "Sis. You..don't have to go that far. He's..my friend and your precious student. I'll get him back in time..." He placed his hand on her head, causing her to slowly lift up with tears.
"I-I so useless, Kazemi~...." Everyone became surprised that they saw such raw emotion from Jasmine. She was the cold and quite type and so, people didn't expect to see this side of her. "You're not, Jasmine.." He saw how genuine her tears were.
"You're an amazing sister and an amazing teacher. You went the extra mile for us and did everything you could. We all appreciate that, you know that, right?" The guard had enough of this and lashed out words of anger.
"That's enough! First, you come in here, acting like you own the damn place! You also bring in that disquesting, hideous creature over these as well! Do you have no shame!"
He said while poiting at Shea. "And those ears,...they're so utterly disquesting that it makes shit look good.."
He looked around while slobbering, expecting people to agree with him. Everyone however only stared at the man in contempt. "Hey, Jasmine. What will I be charged with if I killed this man?"
He asked while taking his sword out. The man backed up a bit, the students and Jasmine showing a slight smile. "He's the only one on duty right now, Kazemi. Basically, if a murder didn't happen, then why would you be charged?"
Kazemi nodded and tossed the guy his sword. "Huh.." The man was too stunned to speak, unconsciously putting his hand out to catch the sword.
A fatal mistake on his part as when the sword came into contact with his body, it crushed him into juice.
Blood splattered everywhere like falling paint while the sword fell through the ground and kept going until about 30 meters. "Wow... kazemi became a badass, huh?" One of his classmates said. Since no one likes the guard, no one really cared that he died.
"Shea. You're not...fazed by his words, right?" Tory asked while holding her hand. "Huh? Oh, no. Humans are scary beings but Kazemi taught me my self worth~..." She said with a huge smile while giving Kazemi lustful looks.
'Nah, it ain't even like that. I tell her how cute her ears are everyday. I tell her how she looks like a Goddess overall in fact. Pretty sure I went overboard here, but who cares. Demonstration of power anyways..' Kazemi shrugged while Shea and Tory got up.
"Sis. I'll be coming by your room later tonight to speak with you. See you then.." He tapped her shoulder while walking by and stepping over the sword shaped hole in the floor and pool of blood. "Huh? Oh, okay. Wait, aren't you forgetting your sword?"
She asked while he opened the door for Tory and Shea. "Nah, it'll come back. It always does.." He yelled out at her then closed the door. The students in the room sighed and went to go get cleaning supplies. They didn't like the guy because he was a racist towards...anything.
It's been a year since they've been in this world and they came fo realize that they actually like beastmen. 'How much do those swords weight..?' Jasmine questioned while squatting just over the hole.
'Oh well. Just glad I'll never be on the receiving end..' She laughed while shaking her head.
....
"Theres a door. Now go use it.." Jasmine looked out the window and down at Kazemi who was climbing the wall. It was nightfall now and she assumes this was the meeting he wanted to have between them both.
"Huh? Just let me in, sis.."
"No. Go around and through the door." She pointed behind herself, leaving Kazemi to sigh and nod. "Smh, fine. That's why you don't have a boyfriend.." Kazemi said under his breath while landing on the ground.
"What did you say?!" She threw a pinecone at him while having her fist bawled in the air and shaking ferociously. Kazemi laughed it off and soon knocked on her door. Jasmine was surprised by how fast he moved and so, she answered.
Kazemi walked in without her say so and sat down on her bed. "So? What is it? What did you want to speak to me about?" Said Jasmine while sitting down next to him. She wore a transparent purple night gown.
"Jasmine. Put some f-ing clothes on man. You're too revealing.." He said while covering her body with his hand out in the air at her. "Huh? Oh, come on dude. I'm your sister. Why are you seeing me in that light?"
Kazemi cocked his head back and while stammering with his words. "Wait, don't tell me it's because you know I'm not really your sister and you think..."
"No, not at all. Just forget I said anything.." She laughed in triumph while Kazemi began collecting his thoughts. "So basically, the Gods of THIS world are sort of...well, messed up in the head." He started off strong which resulted in a 'Huh?!'
"Messed up in the head? How, when they save humans from demons. That means...they have some sort of reasoning, right?"
"That's what the church tells ya. Hey, lemme ask you this. Have you wondered why humans and demons are at each other's throats? I'm telling you, Jasmine. All of this is happening because of a game their playing on us. Ehito and his other God friends are using us races as slaves in there little game."
A sweat drop ran down her face.
Kazemi then continued explaining the back story of how a group of people tried to stop this but were ultimately defeated. The group of people soon came to a conclusion that they couldn't win and so, they began passing down there magic.
"How..do you know all of this, Kazemi?"
"When I conquered a dungeon, I was told all of this."
"Does that mean you're their predecessor?"
"Predecessor? I hope not. I don't want to involve myself in all this drama. I'm just getting power for...ulterior motives. If a God tries something against me then.." He shrugged, ending his talk with her. Jasmine went over his words in her head and sighed.
"Jeez...why did you have to choose this world?" She playfully planted her fist on his head, causing him to groan. "I-I don't choose. And even if I did, I'm not that knowledgeable in planets with powers and stuff.."
"Huh? Why? What did you do in your life before coming to our world?" Kazemi then realized that he never told her his story. And...he doesn't plan to. "I..wasn't the richest per say..." Noticing the hint of sadness in his voice, Jasmine placed her hand on his.
"Bad memories?"
"Yeeah..."
He dragged out. Jasmine rubbed her thumb a bit over the back of his hand while showing a forced smile. "Life can be cruel, Kazemi. People, actions, emotions, they can all be cruel. I..didn't have the best childhood with me wanting to be a girl and all, even though I was born a guy, and so I faced many hardships.
I was ridiculed, called an idiot, but I never listened to them. I did what I wanted and I'm proud of it. What I'm saying is that no matter how cruel life can be, don't ever give up.
Show fate that you can change, be more, Experience Growth. Show...that fate doesn't define you, but how you want to live.."
She undid her hand and patted his back. "Now go to bed, little bro. We have a big day ahead of ourselves tommorow, right?" She stared at his frozen face.
"Huh? You good?" Kazemi got up and shook his head. "Yeah, I'm...good. You should be a motivational speaker, Jasmine. Got me blushin' and wanting to cry.."
He said jokingly, Jasmine laughing a bit. "Maybe, maybe. Maybe in another life.." Kazemi nodded while opening the door. "Yeah. Maybe..in another life.." He closed the door behind himself, each of them sighing on their side of the door.
