"Will you be safe?"
Jasmine asked as she sat down at the corner of his bed. Aric was housed in a small shed that could only fit a bed, bookshelves and a toilet. The size of the shed no differed from a prison cell.
"I'll be fine, Jasmine. And I promise to protect Hima and Rei, okay?"
He could tell that she was really concerned about those two and not so much as him. Hima and Rei, like Jasmine, posses star magic. Now that may sound cool and all, but all 3 of them don't know how to fully utilize it.
What they can do now it basically get overpowered boost like Aric's classmates and so on. They have been training the element of water as well but have little progress in that too.
"S-Saw right throught me, huh, little bro? But that doesn't mean I'm not concerned about you. While we're on this planet, I'll have to step up as a teacher to your classmates and as a sister to you, Rei, and Hima."
She placed her hand on his head and smile. "Just do you best, Aric. You may be the least fortunate in the class, but I still see the most potential in you." Everyone else had cool buffs besides him.
Whether it was double experience, super growth, affinity with an element, they had it all while he had nothing. 'I guess this was the only way to nerf me, huh, God? You really want me to do things on my own in this story..'
"Thank you, Jasmine. I..needed those words.." He also had the lowest amount of Mana amongst his family and classmates. Mana was something that every being in this world posses, it's just a matter of if they can manipulate it to do spells.
"No problem bro. Your big sis will always be here for you..." She kissed his forehead and left the shed. 'Its nice knowing that you have someone to protect you. Jasmine always gave off this vibe, even from the moment we first met..'
He then got onto his bed, crossed his legs and closed his eyes. In the Realm Of Magic, you could see that there was 6 grey dots that were connected to each other, almost forming a perfect circle. 'It takes up all of my mental prowess to connect these 6. I..need some sort of push to break throught completely..'
And like that, he spent the rest of the night trying to form that 7th ball of grey light to connect to the other 6. He would sometimes have to take breaks in order to replenish his Mana but that was fine.
In order to replenish your Mana, you could either sleep, take magic drugs, or just rest for an amount of time. The next day, Aric and his classmates were at what appeared to be giant, dark cave.
"This is 'Yurisal'. Our nation's, Dungeon."
Griffith announced to the students with a smile. They all stared in amazement at the huge cave entrance. 'A dungeon is full of beings called, Monsters. Monsters, like us humans, can use skills and magic. Skills would be things like [Cooking Lvl 1.] To acquire skills, you'd need to unlock certain conditions. A condition for a cooking skill would be cooking over and over until you unlock it. Monsters have better...unique, yeah, more unique skills than humans. Though, if your a summoned hero, you get skills that put you on the same uniqueness as them. If I'm able to come into contact with a monster, I'll take their skills and use them for my own. I also need to test if I can take Magic or not. I'd assume yes because Magic is formed from the soul and so...yeah..'
"You all have trained for the past month and have reached the 6 star formation in no time. Well, almost everyone.." He, and everyone else, looked at Aric. To them, Aric was only at stage 1. He hasn't been able to connect any dots.
It was unheard of for such a person, a summoned hero, to have slow progress like he did. 'Take a fucking picture bastards. I'm being deadass when I say that I'll take all of your powers...' He frowned and looked away from their view.
"Ha. Once a useless bastard, always a useless bastard."
Some people in class chuckled at Mike's words. 'Shit was not funny. I'm being bullied here and you people are laughing? Man, school is something else. Heard it was fun and all, but maybe I just listened too hard..'
Griffith then explained the rules and told everyone to be safe. Once your in a dungeon, everyone is together, sure, but when it comes down to something like a death battle, and then everyones being whipped out, its every man for himself.
"Big brother.." He looked down and at the two children. They had on light purple cloaks with staffs too big for them. On the purple cloak, there was white dots all over it, its overall look rivaling an galaxy.
"I-I-I don't wanna go.." Rei started to cry at the idea of going in. A little background info about Aric and his family. His parents, specifically his mother, was someone who drew Manga. She was famous for creating a series about going into the other world. Anyways, in that world, you could respawn if you die, if your in a dungeon atleast. But here, you don't respawn. You simply,....die.
"It'll be fine, okay? We have the strongest person in the kingdom guarding us..." He bent down and hugged her. "Me. We have me." She stared into his chest and after a bit, she couldn't help but laugh.
"R-Really, Aric? If you say so.." She whipped away her tears and smiled. Hima wasn't crying, just scared and so all he had to do was reassure her as well.
After a bit, they went into the dungeon. The farther floor that anyone has ever gotten to was floor 46, that record being set by Griffith himself.
They walked into the black space and was instantly met with a rocky tunnel. The students looked around, getting a feel for their new life of danger.
'Hm? Fear? I'm scared? No, this body is scared. I thought I fully adjusted but it seems that being a bitch is fully rooted in me...or him I mean...'
He saw his hands shaking as he waved it in front of himself. After the kids adjusted, they started walking down the wide, rocky walls. Hima and Rei continued latching onto their brothers legs.
"Look! A slime!"
Shouted someone as they pointed at a blue, bouncy ball. It had a black rock in the middle, its size being no bigger than a human, in all directions. The class wasn't scared of anything on the first floor. Some were just surprised to see an actuall slime.
'Let's see..' His eyes gleamed as he looked at the slime. [Level 1 Slime. Magic: Water Magic. Skills: Water Ball(Lvl 1).] He examined the monsters.
They all had a skill to see any one beings, stats. When met with certain conditions, you could develop this skill until the point where you could even see a beings weakness.
"I'll shall be the one to slay this beast!" Kyle, the blond, said as he put his sword up and stared at it. The girls fawned over his stance and him in general. He wore gold armor that acted as armor and training, considering Gold weights a lot.
"Excellent. Now go!"
Griffith nodded with a smile and ordered his men to move out the way for him to attack. 'Y'all are doing too much against a level one slime..' Floor determined level. Things will be easy until floor 20 is what they were told.
Kyle sloppily ran at the slime and threw his sword at it, his body going with the sword that he never let go. The slime only stood there and took the golden blade that cut the rock in the center of its body, its core.
"Excellent!"
They all clapped while shouting words of encouragement. 'Poor slime. To lose to someone like him...its sad honestly..' While everyone was celebrating, he walked up to the split core, taking his sisters off his legs and bent down.
'I wouldn't be able to take water ball anyhow. It isn't my element of magic...' Now if he took the Water element, he'd be able to utilize the skill that the slime had. But if he just took the skill, where would he get the water from? He'd have to carry around a water bottle or something at all times, infuse it with magic and use it like that.
'Some skills are sub-powers from an element while others are just random and doesn't require an element. Life Skills and Elemental Skill.'
Just then, someone grasped his hand and pulled him away into a dark shadow, away from the group. 'What the hell?' The person let go of his hand and revealed themselves. 'W-What the hell?' His heart beat was getting faster and faster.
The person had short blue hair, a skinny frame and blue hollow eyes, making them seem like they were blind. "A-Aric..." They said. Upon hearing the voice, another memory came back.
It showed a person, their eyes closed, touching his lips using theirs. 'This...is Hirito? He took this bodies first kiss, huh? Nice one, Aric.'
He was shocked to see that Hirito also made it into this world and that he and this body had some sort of relationship going on.
"Hiri...to? What's...wrong?" Turns out this body and him had an...interesting relationship. They would practice kissing together with each other.
"N-Nothing...its just that we haven't spoken in a while.." He said with a red face. He would look away at times from embarrassment.
"Yeah, your right, Hirito. It has..been a while, huh?" During the span of the month, the two didn't talk together at all. That was because they had no opportunity to do such a thing.
Hirito was too shy to approach Aric himself while the Aric in mention didn't even know about him.
"You know, your as beautiful as when I first met you. You still have that same charm and glow.." He cupped his face while smiling. Truth be told, he actually felt bad that he'd be leaving Hirito without explaining why.
Truth be told, he also didn't know why he felt like that towards him. Maybe because they both used drugs and it turned them to shit? He didn't know, he didn't really care, he was just glad.
"H-Huh? R-Really..?" He blushed from Aric's words. Their relationship has been like this since they were children. At first, Aric thought she was a girl and confessed his feelings. Hirito didn't want to lead him on and so he told him that he was a boy.
Aric was indeed shocked by that but nevertheless, he didn't care and they stayed friends, their kissing relationship starting because they wanted to see what it felt like.
"Yeah, really. I still remember the exact day I met you. I instantly fell in love."
"Huh? T-Thank you..." He moved the hair off his ear to reveal them. 'So uhm....this is awkward..' The original Aric still loved this guy while the new Aric liked him like a friend. But, his words made it seem like he was recuperating Hirito's feelings.
"We should head back before the others worry....about you. They probably only noticed that your missing.." He stopped holding his face in which Hirito nodded. They then walked out and blended back in like they never left.
'If they take this long to celebrate a kill over a floor one monster, it'll only get worse from here..' He faced palmed and let out a huge sigh. 'I just hope I get some cool powers though..'
