A shark

No matter how hard he try he couldn't propelled himself forward towards the rock.

After each unsuccessful try at swimming, his frustration grew and uncertainty started to enter his thoughts. He desperately wondered: "What is preventing me from doing this?" "I must swim in order to stay alive."

But as Liu Xinran continued to push himself, refusing to succumb to despair, a determination began to take root within him. He remembered his painful life and a tragic ending of him.

He do not want to have that ending again.

With his teeth clenched, Liu Xinran concentrated on the fish movements surrounding him. He watched their elegant movements, seeing how they smoothly floated in the water with just a gentle movement of their fins.

How do they easily move underwater? He is a fish he can do it.

Slowly, tentatively, Liu Xinran tries to mimic their movements. He moved his fins, waved his tail, and shifted his body position, all while experimenting. Initially, he was awkward and unproductive, but he continued.

As he kept practicing, something inside him suddenly fell into place. He started to perceive the water's rhythm, comprehending its movement and tides. As time went by, his motions grew more seamless and graceful, as if he was starting to become proficient in the skill of swimming.

Liu Xinran felt a rush of excitement when he discovered he was now swimming with his new fish body, experiencing a sense of pride and achievement for overcoming his initial challenges.

Liu Xinran moved himself forward effortlessly and gracefully, gliding through the water.

Finally, this second life is becoming good for him.

He swims but his movements are slow. Typically, blowfish can move through the water at velocities that fall in the range of 1 to 2 miles per hour (1.6 to 3.2 kilometers per hour).

This speed is much slower when compared to faster-swimming fish like tuna or swordfish, which can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour (64 kilometers per hour).

Well, at least he can now swim.

He was navigating the area he was. The underwater sea stretches out before Liu Xinran, Sunlight filters down from above, casting shimmering rays that dance across the water's surface.

Tropical fish swim around coral reefs in schools with colors ranging from bright pinks and oranges to dark purples and blues. Anemones move gracefully in the water, swaying like dancers.

Small crustaceans and elusive octopuses find refuge in cracks on the rocky seabed.

What a wonderful place to live. But suddenly, a shadow passes overhead, Liu Xinran got scared. He looks up fearfully.

A huge Shark with sharp teeth is moving it's tounge circlely around its lips, the saliva is dropping.

The shark was preparing to eat him alive with some sea seasonings.

Seeing this creepy face, Liu Xinran immediately understood what was going to happen.

Without any skills how can he defend himself? He just learnt to swim. What a pain in the ass!

Liu Xinran looked right and then left. No one's was there. Why would he do that?

The shark was coming closer, it's sharp teeth and saliva dropping.

Liu Xinran galps a mouthful of saliva and makes a run for it. The shark is faster, no wonder the shark was standing before him.

"Whaaat? Am I going to die again?" Liu Xinran cried out.

' that's not right, I need to survive. What should I do?' he muttered to himself.

The shark was saying something, in a world of fishes.They have their own language systems. Humans can't understand this mute creatures.

Liu Xinran could hear and understand that.

"Wow, I can eat this fluffy balloon. It's must be tasty like that one I ate one day ago." The shark said.

He thought if he talk with him, maybe there's no need to hide.

"No, I'm not yummy. I taste bad, don't eat me." Liu Xinran replied.

How daring!, he could have hide behind cracked rocks.

"You can't fool me, I love eating fluppy balloons like you." The shark said and started to getting closer.

Even if he can communicate with the Shark there's no way the shark will listen to him.

Cought of guard, he felt guilty not to hide. The shark was coming closer, he thought and concentrate in his body.

What do the blowfish does when they encounter enemies? How to use this abilities?

He closed his eyes, he was feeling his body's blood circulation, heartbeat. In response, specialized cells in his skin and organs are activated, triggering the release of tetrodotoxin from storage sites within the body.

As the toxin is released, it is expelled through specialized pores or ducts located on the surface of his skin.

The toxins flow out of his body and spread out into the surrounding water, the water quickly dispersed and became diluted.

And the shark who was so confident to eat him was left in the poison.

Blowfish's poison is incredibly high, with just a small amount of tetrodotoxin being sufficient to incapacitate or kill potential predators.

Liu Xinran could feel this.

He immediately took the opportunity to escape from there to a safe place.

He knew he had narrowly escaped a close encounter with the shark, thanks to his quick thinking and the unique abilities of his blowfish form.

But even as he put some distance between himself and the predator is world of difference. Liu Xinran couldn't shake off the fear that lingered within him.

The ocean was vast and filled with countless dangers.

As Liu Xinran continued swimming deeper into the ocean, his environment started to transform. The colorful coral reefs transitioned into deeper, more ominous waters, beyond the reach of sunlight. Mysterious beings skulked in the darkness, their gazes shining with hunger.

Liu Xinran shivered. "Where did I end up coming? Is this the the end of the sea? So dark. And what's with those lights? Is that a traffic signal in fish world?"

"Could it be that, I entered the path of mermaid kingdom?"

What he was thinking is he will go there and marry the mermaid princess and become the king, live happily.

But his daydreams meet an unexpected ending. The lights of the fish eyes is not a traffic signal.

The lanternfishes produce light through their eyes. They don't eat blowfish but they don't allow any poisonous fishes to go near them either.

Monster like eyes, Liu Xinran got scared like a scardy cat. The lanternfishes started to murky the water.

So that, Liu Xinran the blowfish can't go any steps forward.
