Ch 1 Leviathan

'*Sigh*,no matter how many times I see it the scenery never fails to amaze me '.I thought leaning on the window. Outside a floating island could be seen right above a palace made of white marble. 'Finally, one step closer to a carefree and ordinary life '

"Although I wonder how the view must be from up there " I muttered under my breath

"Ummm ..... sir so where are you heading ?".I turned my head away from the paranomic view to look at the kid about 15 years light brown hair and good-looking facial features and golden eyes and fit being more on the lean side.

"I am heading for the Avalon academy" I replied nonchalantly ."Ah, you must be a teacher then "he exclaimed albeit a bit nervously" ."Yea, I am a teacher for the 2nd grade". "I am Kenji, it is a pleasure to meet you, sir."

"Sure" right then, my eyes fell on the golden locket he wore it had this abnormal feel about it .'Hmmm..... Interesting "I thought in my mind as if noticing my gaze he said, "This is a locket given by my family if you don't mind what is your name, sir."

"Ah where are my manners, I am Nyx Ackerman "I replied ."Oka-Wait you a noble "Kenji was baffled. "No I am a fallen noble" I replied "Oh, I see" Kenji seemed to relax a bit .'How boring' I thought as I unconsciously turned my head towards the window to enjoy the scenery outside.

*BOOOOM**BOOOOM**BOOOOM*

Just then several explosions shook the train forcing it to come to a halt. "Duck" I hastily said while taking out my weapons in one hand and casting 'FrostFire' in another hand .'Absolute defense' I muttered FrostFire started forming a shield in front of me.

*Clinkkkkk* A dull metallic sound rang out and the upper part of the train compartment had been blown apart.

"Ho, you survived eh not half bad" chuckled the person responsible, he wore black armor and held a huge 4 feet tall Greatsword, the upper part of his face was covered by a white Oni mask with 2 horns coming out of it from the Forehead and the no 13 written at the center of its forehead in roman numerical. 'Let's just call him 13'

"Splendid reaction time for a mage that is," 13 said while rushing at me while swinging his greatsword diagonally. I channeled mana into my body and blocked the attack with a black staff about the height of an average short sword that I had taken out.

*Clink*

In that short exchange, I quickly swing out the golden staff in my other hand infusing it with FrostFire and aiming it for 13's head. He let go of his sword taking a few steps back evading my strike ."Beckon" No.13 said and the greatsword returned to him.

"How annoying" I muttered under my breath noticing that the armor and greatsword were both relics. The armor is the most annoying one as it would take momentary control of the wearer's body whenever perceives that the wearer is in danger, a grade 4 relic at the very least.
