"Damned!! Just leave me alone! Don't you have anything else to do? Why are you practicing your swordsmanship here?!"
Rietta was frustrated. Everyday Lucius would come here sweep the floor then practice with his sword then read books like it was the most normal thing in the world.
"Fine fine fine! Tell me what do you want from me"
"If miss Fietta would let me feel her aura then I would be honored"
"Brat you know that's rude right?"
Even though she said this a purple aura appeared around her and slowly wrapped around Lucius's arm.
It was a strange feeling. Warm and protective. It was clear that when Rietta was manifesting her aura she was desperately trying to protect something. Maybe her family or maybe herself.
"Alright that's the end of my generosity now go away."
Lucius didn't say anything, he silently went away, he had to hurry up and digest this feeling. Even if he can't become a sword master in the future this feeling would be extremely beneficial to him.
NAnd thus Rietta's peaceful days resumed.

Rietta's pov
It's been a year since I became a guard here.
Everything's so boring here except for the wine and the fat yellow cat who's always sleeping on the tree.
If I heard it correctly today should be the imperial recruitment day. Today many talented youths would come here at the palace to become scholars, healers or for many other works.
Not that I care but it's so freaking boring here. Since becoming a sword master I don't even feel hungry anymore. I just occasionally eat to satisfy my taste bud.
Well time for another wine.
"Miss do you know where the healers examination building is?"
What a calm and soothing voice.
When I looked at him he was also looking at me with an embarrassed look. A young man seemingly in his early twenties. He was not dashingly handsome but a gentle and welcoming type which everyone can't help but like.
Looks honest as well.
"Go straight ahead it should be the east building you should recognize it since many others will be there." My voice came out gentler than I thought.
Yep he's definitely that one guy who everyone likes.
"Thank you miss" like an energized puppy, I wish luck.
After that nothing noteworthy happened and the palace became peaceful again.
I really thought my peaceful days would continue like this but a new building was built right beside the winery. Well there's another building in between but it was still quite close.
And it's been a week since I started to chat with the healer from the exam day.
His name was Zen and he was an orphan. But fortunately he had a talent to become a healer and his personality was perfect for this job. With his talent plus the honest and hard working personality he became one of the respectable imperial healers.
But after a month I found out his personality was not as meek as I thought. Really be it the doctors from my world or the healers in this world they were both gentle but scary.
After finding me drinking every time he visits, he started to bag me non stop about how harmful an alcohol is. So I stopped drinking during his visits.
But I became noticeably grumpy after I stopped drinking.
I can't help it, he almost comes everyday so I'm basically not drinking. Imperial healers must be very idle. I tried to argue with him but he's just too nice.
I tried to drink when Zen's not here but he must be some dog's descendant, he always manages to catch a alcohol smell from me.
So after seeing my grumpy face he started to bring me handmade foods and snacks.
Yup imperial healers must be reaaallllyyyy idle.
And his foods are always so delicious, I don't think I can eat any other food, I can even refuse a wine for his food.
Sometimes he comes up with some silly jokes too. I know I'm not supposed to get attached but I think I can give him a pass.
He's too honest.
After deciding to accept him as a friend I began to open my heart too. His naggy self and caring personality was slowly filling my heart.
He once scolded me when he heard I traveled alone in the forest. But I can probably kill you with a snap of my fingers you know?
But I won't tell him this.
Even if he doesn't know I'm a sword master he must know I'm a knight.
But he's still worrying like this. I should be the one to be worried for him right?
