Ye Fan's Plot Armor

'Holy shit that was a close call.' Ronald couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

For a second there, Ronald thought that he was about to get screwed over by Ye Fan.

And not as in he was about to get killed by Ye Fan...

But screwed over as in Ye Fan had gotten extremely close to knocking off his mask and hat multiple times.

Ronald had been spending more time during the fight trying to prevent his mask and hat from falling off of his head than actually trying to watch Ye Fan struggle fighting for his life.

Seeing the masked figure still standing proudly infront of him, Ye Fan's eyes couldn't help but widen.

'How is he still alive?!'

'I was certain that his heart stopped!'

Ye Fan tried to muster all of his remaining strength to get back up from the floor, but he couldn't.

The fight had exausted him so much that he literally had no energy to even do anything else.

No, it couldn't even be called a fight.

It was more like the masked figure was toying with him.

The masked figure didn't even have to lift up a single finger in order to defeat him.

"W-why..." Ye Fan wanted to ask the masked figure why he was targetting him, but he was too tired to even mutter out any other words.

After hearing what Ye Fan had said, Ronald honestly was tempted to take off his mask and reveal his identity to him.

Just imagine the look on Ye Fan's face when he realizes that the 'masked figure' that had given him so much trouble throughout all of China was none other than Ronald.

Ye Fan would probably die on the spot due to shock!

But alas, he still has to maintain his original personality as a brainless rich second generation.

And to be honest, Ronald would rather maintain his personality as a brainless rich second generation anyways.

After all, he didn't want people's expectations for him to be high.

While all of the other 'talented' rich second generations out there have to work their asses off and maintain a public image as a 'perfect' human being out there, Ronald could just eat, sleep, drink, and play games on his computer and mobile phone without a care in the world.

"Why? Because I feel like it." Ronald stated nonchalantly.

"..." Ye Fan didn't believe it at all.

There was no way that someone of this caliber would just attack Ye Fan just 'because he felt like it.'

Ye Fan would rather believe that the world he was currently living in right now was actually just a novel than believe the bullshit that the masked figure was spewing out of his mouth.

But Ye Fan was almost certain about one thing though.

'There is definitely a mastermind behind the scenes calculating me.'

But there was no way he offended someone like that overseas though!

After all, how could he even offend someone like that to begin with if the mastermind behind the scenes was powerful enough to bring in a masked figure and convince all the beautiful girls of China to plot against him?

Although Ye Fan's head was bleeding out like crazy and his skull was most likely broken, Ye Fan's brain seemed to be somehow working properly.

So after thinking about it for awhile, Ye Fan realized something.

What if the mastermind behind the scenes wasn't actually a person he had offended in the past...

But rather the person who had destroyed his entire family to begin with?

To be honest, it made a lot of sense to him.

The Ye family, albeit wasn't considered one of the 10 major families in the city Ronald was in, was still considered a pretty big and powerful family.

Which meant that it was practically impossible for the Ye family to get destroyed overnight by any other family out there unless if a lot of the major families had been conspiring against them.

But the fact that there was not even a single trace left to be found after the Ye family had gotten destroyed meant that there was a family out in China powerful enough to easily cover their tracks from Ye Fan and all of his backers.

Which means that most likely, they must've hired this masked figure to kill him as well.

So if Ye Fan wanted any actual leads on who had actually destroyed his family, he knew that he was going to have to question the masked figure.

But how?

Obviously the masked figure wasn't just going to bluntly tell him.

And Ye Fan definitely wasn't strong enough to force the masked figure to spew out everything he knew.

"Can't talk, huh? Well it seems like your life ends here, Ye Fan. To be honest, I expected more from a God of War." Ronald said in a mocking voice and shook his head in front of Ye Fan.

Even though Ronald had told Ye Fan that he was going to kill him, Ronald wasn't planning on actually killing him anyways.

And even if Ronald wanted to, he couldn't anyways.

Why?

It's because he was the villain after all.

And besides, in his previous life, Ronald had actually tried to kill Ye Fan a couple of times before whenever he had been trying to oppose the system.

However, despite the significant amount of power difference between the two, Ye Fan's plot armor would always somehow come in and save the day.

Of course, Ronald had never really gone all out in order to try and kill Ye Fan though...

Because if Ronald had actually gone all out, then the entire novel world...

Well...

Let's not get too much into it.

Just blame the system for giving him too much strength everytime he had completed a plot in his previous life.

But anyways, this was also the reason why Ronald had visited Ye Fan in the hospital and try to kill him to begin with.

If Ye Fan's plot armor doesn't come in and actually save the day this time around, then Ronald would be 100% certain that Ye Fan wasn't the protagonist anymore.

Of course, when Ronald had beaten up Ye Fan before about a few weeks back during the time that he had kidnapped Princess Sophia, he was aware that Ye Fan's plot armor had saved him as well.

But Ronald wasn't too sure if that was Ye Fan's plot armor swinging into action at the time.

Looking at it now however, it seems like Ye Fan's plot armor is actually still there with him, meaning that Ye Fan is indeed still the protagonist.

So that begs the question...

Just how far will the plot armor go just to try and keep Ye Fan alive?

'Well.'

'Let's find out...'
