Chapter 9: Eating together

When he married Ivan a lot of troubles came to him until he finally understood his personality and no longer believed him because he had lied to him too many times, snatching their family savings, selling his own jewelry and his always getting the money he earned from working to go gambling and spend time with his mistress. 

There is also a time when it was time to give birth, his own husband wasn't in his side and he was left alone in their house and if not because his mother-in-law and father-in-law suddenly visited him, he will surely die there with his unborn son Yuan.

Yuri thinking those days, he blamed himself again this time, he just felt warm for a moment because of Ivan's caring words just now but then he secretly scolded himself for being too soft-hearted and thinking all that's bad days he was with Ivan, he once again turned back into his cold hearted self.

After finishing his work, Yuri was worried about his son so he immediately said goodbye and hurriedly to go home. When he got home, he could smell the aroma of food in the living room. Ivan was holding a plate of sweet pork and shrimps walking towards on the table. Seeing Yuri come back, the corners of his lips were slightly raised: "You're just in time to come back, go wash your hand and eat with our son."

Ivan returned to the kitchen then filled two plates of rice. Yuri probably didn't want to sit and eat with him so he will just let the two of them eat.

Ivan brought over the rice, Yuan saw that his Dad only brought two plates of rice over, pursed his lips and looked up at him and suspiciously asked: "Won't Dad accompany us to eat with daddy?" 

Ivan looked at his son then at Yuri who had an expressionless face, he smiled at Yuan and comforted him while talking gently: "Son, Dad has something to do and won't be able to stay with you so you and your daddy can eat by yourselves."

A trace of sadness shown in Yuan's happy face and he looked at his dad and then at his daddy eagerly to let his daddy pursue his dad to stay and eat with them.

Ivan touched Yuan's head and was about to go out. Yuri looked at Ivan and at his son around him then casually said without any expression: "If you're not in a hurry, you can stay and eat together with our son."

Ivan who was about to walk towards the door, immediately raised a smile. He really loves to stay and spend more time with his son but he knows that Yuri definitely hates him so he doesn't want to do so and now that he got his ex-wife's permission to stay then he could stay for a while to accompany them and will leave later.

"Then I'll accompany my son to eat." Ivan smiled and turned to go to the kitchen, filling a plate of rice for himself and sat beside his son.

Yuan happily smiles seeing his parents sitting and eating with him, he picked up a row of shrimps in the bowl and happily said: "Dad, the shrimps are very delicious, Yuan Yuan likes them a lot."

"As long as you like it, Dad will make it for you next time. The sweet pork is also delicious so you should try it too and don't worry it's all meat and has no fat's." Ivan puts another piece of sweet pork in Yuan's bowl while Yuan keeps eating what his dad gives him.

Ivan was happily feeding his son when he felt a chilly gaze from his side that made him feel cold, he turned his head and met his ex-wife's cold gaze, he had seen many powerful people in his last life but it was the first time he felt fear towards a person and it is specially his ex-wife that can make him scared to the point that all the hair on his arms stood up so he put a piece of sweet pork into his ex-wife's bowl, he smiled and gently said: "You should also eat one because this pork are quite juicy and tender."

Yuri put aside the sweet pork that Ivan had given him, he raised his eyes and stared at him and coldly said: "I don't like scumbag serving me, it's very dirty."

Ivan glanced at Yuri, feeling overwhelmed, he weakly lifted his fork to pick up the piece of sweet pork from Yuri's bowl then put it in his own mouth and raised a self-conscious smile and awkwardly said while chewing: "I'm sorry and don't worry I will never do it again."

Then he saw that Yuki's face seemed to be getting colder and colder even though it was still expressionless, his heartbeat was pounding so fast seeing the transparent number above Yuri's head. The -150 percent, he felt that his whole body was being cut into pieces. 

You are the one who said you don't want what I served you so why are you still angry? You said it's dirty then how could Yuri be even angrier if he gets it back and directly eats it? What's is going on inside of his ex-wife brain?

Don't look at him being smart, well his definitely smart when it comes to other things but not in reading people's thoughts especially he was not a psychologist so how can he understand why his ex-wife becomes more angrier towards him?

Ivan stopped thinking about it and he just choose to obediently bury his head and quietly eat so that he will not offend more his ex-wife.

However at this time his son spoke, Yuan watched his parents interaction and he happily said: "Yuan hasn't been this happy for a long time especially now that I was accompanied by Dad and daddy to eat."

Ivan's heart tightened and he gently said: "Then dad will often accompany Yuan Yuan from now on, okay?"

Yuan swallowed the rice with his bulging cheeks, shook his head and happily said while looking at his dad: "Yeahey! Daddy will also come too, right dad?" 

The corners of Yuri's lips curled up slightly and he smiled at Yuan then turned his head and gave Ivan a cold deadly look.

Ivan's heart sank, it was their son who asked him to stay together, it wasn't him who suggested it, why was he still staring coldly to me? What the fuck did he do wrong?! Can someone tell me! 

He was a very calm person even if seeing his own company lost billions but now his ex-wife frown can make him nervous and worried to the point of being anxious.

Fortunately the meal was finished without any troubles and without making Yuri's good points of view worse. After the meal, Ivan rushed to wash the plates so that he could leave early and would not make Yuri more angrier towards him. 

When Yuri looked up, he saw the fruit plate on the coffee table. There were big and small fruits in it.

"Son who bought those fruit in that fruits bowl?" Yuri gently asked while looking at it.

Yuan had a great time eating with his parents so he sat on the sofa while touching his bulging stomach.

"Daddy there is red fruit that was shaped like a heart called strawberry, Yuan Yuan likes it a lot. Dad bought it for me." Yuan happily said in his coquettish tone.

Yuri's eyes darkened, even with his gentle appearance, it was enough to make people feel cold so that scumbag man for the past few days is just really acting, now no matter what he thinks, he will really no longer believe what he said.

He got up and opened the refrigerator and found that some of the vegetables and meat inside were newly bought, including fruits. Yuri looked at the variety of fruits but his face sank when he saw grapes that brings his fear towards it.
