Chapter 353 - Stronger than you think

Caelum doing a handstand push-up while being drenched in sweat from the continuously tearing his muscle but amiss of that pain felt a sense of emptiness as if nothing was going the way he wanted despite fate itself giving everything to grow stronger. 

He felt that the world itself had stopped progressing and he had hit a wall. Caelum thought came to an end when someone familiar walked past the park.

"Miss Woo! Fancy meeting you here this early!"

His voice caught the attention of the voluptuous woman who saw his drenched body couldn't help but quiver at the sight and aroma. 

She felt aroused due to the effect of his bloodline despite being diluted compared to before. His body was still in the process of fusing everything but still had minor effects. 

"Mercer, it's nice to see you here. How was your first day in Korea?"

She asked while getting closer to Caleum who stood back at his feet. Caelum smiled before noticing something within the woman's eyes.

"It's been great! Food is delicious, especially the fried chicken and I'm mad that Japan doesn't have these kinds of food."

Caelum shook his head in disappointment that made the girl giggle at his childish tone. 

"Perhaps you can show me around, Miss Woo?"

He suggested causing her to flinch a bit.

"Uhmm.I would love to but unfortunately, I can't."

"Why exactly?"

Caelum tilted his head in confusion and frown, having vague guesses as to why she was acting that way, especially recalling the man yesterday. 

He had smelled his scent and had multiple women covering his body but those scent only had pleasure and nothing more.

It made him disgusted and wanted to beat the annoying face of that person named Gunner. 

"I-I just can't, sorry."

"No no you don't need to apologize. But you seem troubled? Did something happen? You know I'm quite good at listening."

Caelum said sitting at the bench close by bickering her to sit down. She wanted to refuse and go on with her day but something drew her in and ended up sitting down.

"I-I...I don't know why I'm telling this to a stranger but what would you do if you had a choice that you couldn't escape from?"

She asked with a tone of desperation contained within them. Caelum narrowed his eyes and clearly saw how this young girl wanted to be embraced by a man but took the wrong one. 

He has vast knowledge and experience understanding that the woman was being neglected by his lover, opting for him to look at her with a calming gaze.

"That is a tough question but for me, what I would do is dominate that choice to be one who rules over it rather than the other way. I also had chosen no escape and the only thing I could do is move forward and fight till the end."

Caelum said it was the truth, he had a choice to refuse and be an ordinary man without the burden of knowing the truth of the world, and yet this choice cannot be taken back and only needed to move forward for himself his family.

Mia felt dazed from the ways he spoke as though any enemy would end up trampled under his feet. She wondered if he would be able to free her from that man's grasp. 

However, she shook her head and felt undeserving of real love after tainting herself. At that moment, she felt a hand on her shoulder and saw Caelum smiling.

"Whatever you're going through, just know that I'm a person who likes to meddle with other people's business and if you need any help just call my name." 

Caelum said unexpectedly planting a seed into her. Mia felt compelled to give everything to the mind before her and would relieve beyond her wildest dream, unlike the man she gave her body.

"T-Thank you, Mercer-san. You know, I think whoever the girl that ended up with is quite a lucky girl."

"Hahaha I think I am the lucky one to have them."

He laughed it off receiving a confused expression from the dark-haired girl. 

"Them? What do you mean? Like you have more than one girl!?"

"Oh right, I forgot that polygamy isn't common. Well yes, I have more than one girl and I love each one of them!"

Caelum exclaimed containing the utmost affection when telling people that he had multiple lovers. Mia frowned slightly frustrated that the man before her was the same as any other men and yet his tone was different.

She was in the same situation where the man she was with had multiple women but he treated them as booty calls rather than women that needed attention.

"You can say I'm a scum seeing as it is a normal view for people but I'm not one who let this world change who I am."

Caelum didn't try to justify that having a polygamous relationship was fair not like in the past.

"How many are you in a relationship with?"

Mia curiously asked confused as to why she wasn't a tad bit disgusted at him and not because she, herself is in the same situation. 

"Good question but at least more than 5 and they stayed back in Japan."

Caelum gave a vague answer surprising her that he had this many women before frowning once again.

"I'm curious, what are their names?"

"Itsuka, Miku, Nino, Ichika, Yotsuba, Saki, and Miko. That's the one staying in Japan and I can't tell you everyone unless you're planning to join."

Caelum flirtatiously said with his soothing voice that caught the girl that made her shiver before blushing.

"Hahaha how cute. I'm just teasing you."

"T-Then if you love them why leave them back in Japan? Couldn't you bring them harem? What if they find another man while you're gone?"

Mia asked then shuddered when she saw his gaze narrowed down as if a ferocious beast looking at her. 

"That won't happen as I fully trust them but if it ever did then nothing could stop me from having them back."

Caelum one eye glinted glowing in red as Mia felt overwhelmed from the sudden change of his tone from carefree to serious in an instant.

"Also, they have school and couldn't just bring them with me. I'm a special case because I don't really need school and got a job here in Korea."

"I see, what's your job then if you don't mind me asking?"

"Game development I was given the job that testing the game and encode some stuff."

"A Game developer? Now I'm curious what kind of game you're making."

"Hahaha I would love to tell you but it would spoil the fun."

Caelum chuckled seeing her slightly pout at his refusal. He reminds him so much of Liliena that it was a perfect image if not for the fact that his sister has become more like a milf than a his chick.

"You know, I can't help but see my sister in you."

"Your sister?"

"Yeah, her name was Liliena and quite a handful. That's probably why I'm compelled to talk and help you."

"Uhmm can you tell me a bit about your early life?"

"Sure but you should tell me about yourself too? Deal?"

"I don't see any problem with that."

The two shared their life story with Caelum telling the time where he had been adopted by the Mercer to the time his father died and tragedy struck.

"I-I'm sorry to hear that."

"Nah, it's all in the past and I've already gotten to fixing everything. How about you? I can see that you've experienced a similar tragedy as me."

"Well…"

She hesitated for a moment but continued to tell her story on how her father had failed the board exam as a lawyer and changed everything to the time she was forced to take the choice of no escape.

"I see…"

"That's quite the lame reaction."

"But I can see you don't want pity right? I'm saying that I understand your situation since I am not you and won't pretend to be."

Mia felt her heart pound as if he could see through everything. He unexpectedly knew that she wasn't a person who takes people's pity.

"But the only thing I can say is that you're stronger than you think. Once you overcome your challenges then you'll unlock that potential of yours."
