Chapter 220 - Pill veins and Pill Cloud

Spectating the unbelievable sight before them, none spoke a single word. They buried the image of each movement the young man performed with precision and control unlike any alchemist before. Comparing someone like the Pill king or even Yao Zun Zhe appeared to be ordinary.

Caelum did not use anything like faith, only relying on his soul energy to precisely control the flame and ingredients. The materials given to him were below average enough to create tier 3 pills, however, for him who had Alchemy integrated into his Sea of Memory made it like second nature to him.

The countless techniques in precisely controlling the soul to manipulate the flames allowed him to remove impurities and fused them with little effort. In that moment, Caelum felt a surreal sensation and thought resonating before his mind.

'If I consider every aspect of myself as a raw ingredient then use my soul to manipulate and produce a power pill then the result would be extraordinary!'

Four hours went by in the blink of an eye and finally the pills presented themselves. They witness the pills' unique appearances having clouded smoke and veins around its surface.

Caelum jokes knowing full well he passed in flying colors due to their low standard in making pills. They were far too reliant on Essence flames rather than techniques. 

He then felt hand grab his shoulder and saw the old fat man drooling having the purest ecstasy of his life. Caelum sweatdropped seeing his reaction.

"Young man, No, Senior please teach our alchemy guild your ways! With your teaching then our road to alchemy shall reach new heights!"

"Hey hey calm down! Don't drool all over me!"

He pushed the old fat man who had the twinkling eye of a kid. Caelum coughs while turning to the two ladies who were in pure awe after witnessing the profound alchemy arts.  

"I'll join you, but before that….You two lovely ladies, do you want to learn true alchemy?"

They did not even hesitate to agree as it was their dream to grow in alchemy making caelum satisfied gaining yet another disciples and now it was in the road of alchemy. 

Moments later after the examination everyone exited the room where the people saw the old fat man's expression made them curious as to what happened while staring at Caelum who was conversing with the two ladies.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Are you asking? Hehehe I'm just kidding, go ahead."

"What was the cloud smoke and veins on the pills?"

"I'm also curious about that. It appears to be changing the quality of the pill."

"Well, In the road of alchemy, there are rare occurrences that will display the skills and technique of an alchemy."

He began to speak ignoring those who listened out of curiosity unaware it would enlighten them. Caelum did not consider it a problem as it would be widely spread in the future. 

"You may have seen Normal pills, these are commonly refined pills, and, likewise, they will inevitably lose their medicinal effect over time. The vein-like structure is called Pill Veins and one of the highest achievements an Alchemist can attain in Alchemy, only falling short in comparison to the cloud you see called Pill Clouds. These faint lines which appear on the Spirit Pill's surface are akin to the meridians of a cultivator's body."

Listening to his explanation further made them realize that their alchemy was lacking by a large margin compared to what caelum understood. Their pills are graded by Xing, Yue, and Ri, while each rank was split into ten grades.

Meanwhile, Caelum followed an entirely different grading system that was more powerful than their own. These are Common Grade, Earth Grade, Heaven Grade, Mysterious Grade, Spirit Grade, Saint Grade, Saint King Grade, Origin Grade, Origin King Grade, Dao Source Grade, Emperor Grade and Open Heaven Grade. 

The Origin is not the Origin that Sapphire is rather it is more appropriate for them to be called Void returning as they are only connecting the world. 

Beside Open Heaven grade, they are subdivided from Low, Middle, and High Rank. At Emperor Grade, there is an extra Great Emperor subdivision. With this in mind, Caelum, most capable of creating without the Pill veins and clouds, is Saint grade. 

He had yet to reach the level of those supreme experts that had roamed the road of alchemy. Caelum praises the world where this grading came from due to how it resonates perfectly with Dao of Alchemy.

[A/N: Caelum doesn't know Martial peak or even read it and thought it was an original. Just think that caelum earth doesn't have martial peak.]

Caelum continued his explanation drawing more crowds while waiting for his uniform and position. He enjoyed enlightening those who wished to learn.

"Whether or not a pill has Pill Veins, its grade does not change, but there is a big difference between a pill with Pill Veins and one without. Pills with Pill Veins have absorbed World Energy and are therefore more than twice as potent as ordinary pills. In addition, the existence of Pill Veins will prevent a pill from losing any of its effects indefinitely. "

If caelum were to compare things then it's like having a home cook compete with a professional chef and cooking the same dish. The latter who have more technique and have more understanding how to draw out the flavor would produce the higher quality.

Those who listened began to contemplate his words with some taking it to consideration while others thought he was spouting nonsense. Only those who had taken the step in the road of Alchemy were able to understand it. The few people who are ignored are one who are driven by greed.

An alchemist is sought after by many and low grade cities would fight and kill anyone to gain the favor of 1st tier alchemist or common grade in caelum ranking.

"Why have we not learned of this before? I doubt an alchemist would miss such a crucial part?"

"You are naive, the reason is all rely on Essence flames and not the techniques. I won't disagree that this tool does help create pills and improve the quality, However, by the end it is nothing more than a tool and only the alchemist could bring out the pills true potential."

Caelum explained while the two women gave deep thought after hearing his words. Few moments later the sound of footsteps could be heard and saw the alchemist expert walking towards him with a serious expression. The other examinees bowed their heads in respect yet were ignored going straight to Caelum.

"Are you Tian Zun?"

"The one and only."

The examinees were shocked to hear him not show any respect to the elders and curse him yet to their disbelief everyone bowed down in respect.

"Please follow us to speak more privately."

Caelum only nodded following them along with the two women who chatted beside him. Moments later they arrive in a private room where other pill experts gather. They were all anxiously looking at Caelum who was claimed to be an expert beyond the norms.

"One of our elders told us you are an expert in alchemy and would like to witness your technique for ourselves. Please do not think of us badly as we merely wish to confirm it."

"Very well, However, I wish to make a deal."

"What would that be?"

"Nothing much but if I show my skills then I wish to reform the alchemy guild. These teachings shall only be exclusive to the alchemist guild and those who are foolish enough."

Caelum's eyes shut, causing everyone to shudder, feeling a tightrope wrapping around their neck. They could hardly believe that the person who doesn't have a Dou qi was able to make them quiver in fear from mere gaze.
